บท 231: A Better Action Sequence...

The Seer ran his bloodstained hand across her cheek, tracing the line of her jaw from her ear to her lips, his fingers trembling as they moved. He was almost mesmerized by the intoxicating scent that surrounded her, by the scenery. Each second drew him closer, the allure pulling on him. The only thing holding him back was the searing pain that coursed through his body, a sharp reminder of the injuries he'd sustained, while his mind and muscles, both too weak and exhausted, struggled to resist the temptation.

*Must... resist,* he thought, his willpower wavering under the weight of desire.

"You know," the Seer whispered, his breath heavy and frantic, mirroring hers. "You overrate yourself." The words were barely audible, spoken against the overwhelming compulsion. 

Summoning what little strength he had left, he dug his feet into the ground and, with a pained groan, broke free from her grasp. The effort left him reeling, but he forced himself to focus.
