บท 5: The Flame Mane
The lady came rushing towards Shun. She was a tall women but a little shorter than Shun. She wore a demon slayer uniform but the sleeves was only reaching until the elbow, the sleeves had a black to orange gradient which complimented her orange-black hair. As Shun's mark, she also had a mark but instead of having the mark left side of the forehead like Shun's, she had it on the right side of her cheek. She had a mechanical looking bracers and had two long swords sheathed on her back.
"Look!! its The flame mane, Yuki. One of the elite hashira" exclaimed Eric
"Finally meet you, the lone wolf. You are a very difficult person to come by" said Yuki
Shun took a good look at Yuki and remained quietly. Alan was there but his existence was negligible against these high ranking slayers.
"I came here once but apparently you was on a mission with The Arsenal in Afghanistan. Also why doesn't you reply the voice channel, I send multiple requests asking to meet but you didn't reply. Honestly it is personally offensive" said Yuki. Her tone was a very energetic one.
"I am sorry if I offended you but I usually I like to keep my voice comms only open for missions" said Shun with a esoteric tone.
"Its okay, I am here now in person. I came here so I can challenge you to a duel" exclaimed Yuki.
"Ohhh!!! So this is why you was looking for Shun. Since you defeated Arsenal, its natural of you to come and find Shun" Eric added.
"In a technological stand point, Yuki should win because Shun only uses one augment that I designed for him, Quick Draw and refuses to add more saying the technological augment are less reliable" said Eric with a slight mocking tone.
Shun looked at Eric and turned around. Shun was clearly uninterested about the duel.
"If you think that you are too weak to even face me in battle, its okay to surrender" said Yuki
In a blink of an eye, Shun's Katana was pointing at Yuki's neck.
"Its not that I am weak or scared of you. I think that its a waste of time to use our valuable time to do unimportant things. Since you really want to fight me, then come" said Shun with a raised voice.
Shun and Yuki entered the training ground. There presence caused the other slayers to exit the training ground and observe what was going to happen. Eric was looking delighted to watch a spectacular fight.
"Lets get this over with already" said Shun as unsheathed his katana.
"This is going to be fun" said Yuki
Yuki retracted blades from her bracers. Yuki took on a offensive stance. Shun was in a neutral stance. Yuki dashed at Shun. Yuki started to slash with her bracer blades, her slashes were fiery. Shun evaded all of Yuki's attacks using his katana. 'She is way too aggressive, its hard to find an opening' Shun thought. Yuki was relentless, her attacks was fast, Shun was evading using his katana but the sheer force was pushing him back. With every slash, a flame followed. The sound of metal clashing was engulfing the training grounds, everyone was amazed to see this fight. Shun analyzed Yuki's slashes.
Shun dashed back and then dashed towards Yuki but this time thrusting his katana at Yuki. Yuki used her blades to go into a defensive stance. Shun's watery thrust clashed against Yuki's blades, releasing a tremendous amount of sound. Everyone covered their ears as the clashed occurred. After the clash, Shun leaped away from Yuki.
Yuki's bracer blades shattered into pieces and fell to the ground. Yuki face was filled with surprise and her eye lit up due to her excitement. She retracted the remaining small blade piece into her bracer.
"You do pack quite the punch" said Yuki as her smiled
She reached her long swords at her back and started to unsheathe it. While it was being unsheathed, it released a lot of heat to the surrounding. Eric's eyes lit up. Yuki completely unsheathed the two long sword. The long sword was piping red as the blades was heated up to intense temperatures. Yuki took a offensive position again but this time with piping hot swords.
