บท 149: Chapter 149 - Obvious Romantic Vibe

The few hours after getting up flew by quickly when we finally landed in France. Due to the fact that it was off season for travelers during this time, there was not a huge crowd of people. Dean helped me get my luggage and managed to stack them so he can push one while another was stack on top. Our vehicle was waiting to pick us up after we cleared customs and immigration.

"Ok I texted the hotel about our arrival so we should be good to arrive and check in." Dean handed me a bottle of water he picked up from a coffee shop that was by the pickup zone. Which was nice as I had felt dehydrated after the long flight.

It felt surreal now that we were here in France. Especially as we drove through the city and seeing all the signs in French and the architecture. I took some pictures as we passed iconic buildings. The Shangri-La Hotel was not a far drive from the airport so we arrived fairly quickly considering the traffic.

"Welcome Madam D'Angelo and Sir Cortez. We are ready to serve you and make your visit to Paris a memorable one." The hotel concierge immediately greeted us upon arrival and took the luggage from us. "Please let me provide a brief tour before we lead you to your room."

After being stationary for a while taking a walk sounded great. The hotel was extremely pretty and even with the pictures online it surpassed those images greatly. The view of the Eiffel Tower was immaculate and the entire interior seemed like a palace. It lived up to its name of a heavenly place.

"These are the different restaurants and bars you can enjoy during your stay. The food served at our restaurants are all Michelin-starred cuisine. Our head chef has been notified of your arrival and will personally be overseeing your meals during your stay whenever you order with us."

Because we had eaten breakfast not too long ago, I figured once we settled into the rooms we could eat lunch after. "Sounds lovely." The hostess led us to our suite which had its own surprises. I think the addition of my guest made them assume we were a couple as the room had many romantic decor such as fresh red roses and candles among other things.

"We hope you enjoy your stay. Please ring if you need anything or would like for us to prepare a table for meals." The team left leaving Dean and I in the room. "Ahhh haha I am not sure why they did this." I pointed sheepishly to the obvious romantic vibe they tried to establish. Not that Dean and I were not a couple, but it was unexpected.

Dean did not seem bothered and in fact had a smug smile on his face. "Thats fine, it was a very nice gesture. I like it...a lot." He poked my cheek and then ruffled my hair lovingly. He seemed even more relaxed than when he is at home. I wondered if the constant eyes on his life made him feel pressured in any way. He never let on if it had bothered him but I also considered maybe it had something to do with his recent visit to Spain. Which we still have not discussed in detail.

"I am going to unpack." They had a his and hers closet so he placed his clothes into his side and began making himself at home. I decided to do the same. "So... how was your trip? We never got a chance to discuss it."

He continued to unfold his clothes and fix them into the closet. "Oh it was interesting. It was nice seeing some family members but it made me realize how much people can change." He sounded a bit bitter in the last sentence. "What happened was someone being rude to you or hurt you?" I stopped his hands which reached into his luggage and cupped his face once I had his full attention.

"Haha no worries my dear I am completely fine. It just felt strange that relationships I considered strained were patched up and people I was on good terms with are now strained." He held my wrists but did not move my hands. He leaned his head into my left palm before kissing it.

"But overall I gained more than I lost on the trip so I am not complaining." He smiled and whatever it was that he gained seemed to have improved his mood significantly. "I know this first day is just mainly for settling and some slight exploration of the nearby sights. But is there anything you would like to do otherwise?"

Usually the first day of travel for me was the hardest. " No I am beat. I think after lunch I want to see what shops are nearby and then call it a day early. Especially as we have a full day tomorrow." Dean had wiggled in some surprises which I was excited to see. However to ensure I could give my all and be in the best mood, I needed rest.

"No worries we can do that."

As predicted the day sped by quickly after we had finished easting and exploring. The evening called us back to the room and took turns to freshen up. Dean let me shower first and now I was waiting for him to finish.

I was reading more of my book which at the moment reached a particularly spicy scene when Dean stepped out of the bathroom. He was completely shirtless and was only wearing boxers. "Sorry I forgot my pajamas." His muscles flexed as he dried his hair with one hand using a towel while the other searched for his clothes.

The boxers were tight which left very little to the imagination. Which was not an imagination to me as I recalled what it looked and felt like. Dean must have felt me staring as he stopped what he was doing and locked eyes with me.

We might as well been mirrors with how our eyes both had lust pooling in them. It was a split second but within that time an understanding passed between us and he dropped the towel he was using to dry his hair and stalked towards me.

I made no effort to move and when he climbed over me I leaned back and let him.
