Outside the church, Kim Jihun finally awakened as the last rays of the sun kissed him goodbye.

He let out a pained moan as he gently touched the back of his head and felt the mushy flesh denting inwards, the dried clumps of blood smearing under his fingertips.

He wasn't dead, but he didn't feel quite alive either. And he was quite sure he had at least a concussion, perhaps internal bleeding.

But out here in this godforsaken place, there was no emergency room for him to seek help in.

It took him minutes to roll on his back - a decision he regretted as he hit his head on the soft grass and let out a string of curses.

It didn't help that Kruger's rotting corpse rested nearby, head hanging on by the spine and windpipe that peeked at Kim Jihun through the torn flesh.
