บท 30: The mysterious thing

"AAAH," the man said with a pained expression, feeling a pain that stopped him from getting up and causing him to uncontrollably fall asleep.

(5 hours later)

The man opened his eyes, still being shocked .

"WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON THIS F**KING PLANET? ", the man screamed in confusion before adding "IMPOSSIBLE, IMPOSSIBLE, IMPOSSIBLE, F**k"

As Alexander woke up from his latest death, he immediately realized that he was back in time again. He sighed, knowing that he would have to go through everything again.

"AH, SH*T THE METEORS", the man screamed, he forgot to tell Alex to charge the spaceship

"Aaah," the man exclaimed, his body writhing in pain. This time, however, he managed to push through the pain and shout,

"ALEX, START RECHARGING THE BLASTED ROCKET!" With those words, he lost consciousness.

(5 hours later)

The man woke up in a rocket, disorientated and in pain. Despite this, he managed to sit up and called out to the ship's AI, "Alex, did you start recharging the rocket?"

"[Yes, and it's fully recharged] ," came the prompt reply.

"Good," the man breathed a sigh of relief. "Now hurry up and move us away from this place."

"[While you were unconscious, I detected a planet....]

(after some time)

"Hey, AI," he said, "did I ever tell you about my ability to go back in time after I die?"

The AI, named Alex, responded with a teasing tone,

[( ´ ∀ ` )(laugh) Oh, sure. And I'm a talking unicorn. Why don't you tell me another one of your otaku fantasies?]

Alexander groaned, used to the AI's disbelief. "I'm serious, Alex. I don't know how or why it happens, but every time I die, I go back in time to a certain point."

[Uh-huh, sure,] Alex replied sarcastically.

[(-´∀`-)(laugh) And I suppose you're the protagonist of some light novel, too.]

Alexander rolled his eyes. "Believe what you want, but it's true. And it's not always fun, you know. Imagine dying over and over again, only to wake up and relive the same moments."

Alex considered this for a moment.

[┐( ̄~ ̄)┌(shrug) I suppose it's impossible, given the advanced technology we have access to. And if it is true, it certainly would explain some of your...unique behaviors.]

Alexander scowled, knowing exactly what Alex was referring to. "Hey, I can't help it if I end up in embarrassing situations sometimes. That's just how the plot goes."

[Of course, of course,] Alex said, the amusement clear in his voice. [Well, I'll keep this in mind for future reference. Who knows, maybe we'll figure out a way to take advantage of your time-traveling abilities.]

Alexander didn't know whether to be comforted or horrified by that idea.

Alexander and the AI continued their discussion, with Alexander sharing more about his past lives and how he always ended up going back in time after each death.

"I still can't believe it," the AI said, shaking its virtual head. "But if what you say is true, then it's quite a remarkable ability. Perhaps there's a scientific explanation for it."

Alexander shrugged. "Who knows? All I know is that it's saved my life more times than I can count."

As they talked, Alexander's mind kept going back to the strange object he had seen while walking with the king. He finally decided to bring it up with the AI.

"Hey, I wanted to talk to you about something," he said, his voice serious.

[What's on your mind?] the AI asked.

"Well, while I was walking with the king, I saw something that shouldn't exist in this world. It was a book, and it was written in English."

The AI raised an eyebrow. [English? As in the language spoken on Earth?]

Alexander nodded. "Yeah, exactly. And that's why I'm so confused and terrified. How could something like that be here on this planet?"

The AI was silent for a moment, processing the information.

[(@_@)(confused) That is strange. We know that humans have not yet discovered or explored this planet, so it doesn't make sense for an object from Earth to be here.]

"Exactly," Alexander said. "That's why I need to figure out what's going on. I have a feeling this isn't just some random occurrence."

The AI nodded. [Agreed. Let's start investigating and see what we can find out.]

Alexander sat in his spaceship, deep in thought. The memory of his last death still haunted him, and he couldn't shake off the feeling that there was more to it than he could remember.

"Alex, do you think that figure that killed me knew something about me?" Alexander asked, breaking the silence.

Alex replied in his usual teasing tone, "[Oh, I don't know, Alexander.

(*´∀`)ノ(laugh) Maybe he just didn't like your face.]"

"Come on, Alex. This is serious," Alexander said, his frustration growing.

"[I know, I know. I'm just kidding. But seriously, I don't know. It's possible that he had some information about you, but without any context or memory, it's hard to say.]" Alex said.

Alexander sighed. He knew that was the best answer he was going to get from Alex. He leaned back in his chair, lost in thought once again. He couldn't shake off the feeling that there was something important about his past lives that he was missing.

As he pondered, a thought suddenly hit him. "Wait, Alex. What if we could access my memories from my past lives? Maybe there's something there that could help us figure out what's going on."

"[It's an interesting idea, Alexander. But accessing your past memories is not something that I'm programmed to do. It's not even something that's been done before. It could be dangerous.]" Alex said, sounding cautious.

Alexander was undeterred. "I'm willing to take the risk, Alex. I need to know what's going on with me, and I think my past lives hold the key."

The AI paused for a moment, seemingly considering Alexander's request. Finally, it spoke, "[Alright, Alexander. I'll see what I can do. But be warned, this is uncharted territory. We don't know what kind of effects it could have on you.]"
