"Do you love him?" Jocelyn brought the topic up with a calm voice when they settled down on the couch in the ward. 

Arissa turned to her, her eyes wide like Jocelyn suddenly grew two horns, "What kind of question is that?" 

Jocelyn sensed the nervousness in Arissa's voice but she brushed it off, she want to get to the bottom of all this. "Do you love him?" she asked in a firm voice, her fists fixed under her chin. 

Arissa turned away from her and face the door Nicklaus walked out from earlier, "I don't love him," she lied to herself, "I don't." she repeated, eyes still fixed on the door. 

"I think you do," Jocelyn opposed. 

Arissa faced her in shock. "Why would you assume such?" she asked, with both curiosity and fright. Maybe, Jocelyn might figure her out and it frightened her.
