ตอน 6: Hope

Sid drove his shovel deep into the soil, his body aching from hours of unrelenting work. His hands were now blistered from gripping the handle, but he refused to give up.

Each time the shovel hit something hard, he felt a rush of excitement and dug furiously, his muscles straining against the weight of the dirt.

And then, finally, he hit something.

Initially, Sid believed it to be nothing more than a rock or tree root, until he heard the sound of metal clashing against metal, proving his assumption wrong. His heart raced with excitement, and he dug furiously, his fingers scrabbling at the soil until he caught sight of something black and shiny buried beneath the earth.

At last, he had a clear view of the strange, round piece of metal, small enough to fit in the palm of his hand.

He held the small, round piece of metal in his palm, he studied it closely. It was a deep, metallic shade of black, with a smooth, polished surface that caught the light in an intriguing way.

The metal seemed to emanate a faint, otherworldly energy, and Sid couldn't help but wonder what its purpose was. He turned it over in his hand, noting the intricate, almost otherworldly patterns etched into its surface.

It was unlike anything he had ever seen before, and the mystery of the object only added to his growing curiosity.

"What is this thing?" he murmured to himself, studying the object intently.

Then, he suddenly heard a mechanical voice emanating from within. The voice was deep and sonorous, and it seemed to be speaking in a language that he couldn't understand. At the same time, the metal began to glow with a bright, blinding light that illuminated the entire area.

He shielded his eyes, trying to make sense of what was happening. He felt a sense of awe and wonder, mixed with a healthy dose of fear.

Slowly, the glow began to fade, and the voice fell silent. Sid stared at the metal in his hand, his mind reeling with questions. What was this object? Who had made it?

As Sid put the metal object down, he suddenly realized something strange. All of the wounds on his hands had vanished, leaving behind nothing but unblemished skin. He flexed his fingers experimentally, marveling at the fact that the pain and soreness that had been plaguing him for hours were suddenly gone.

He couldn't believe it. Had the metal somehow healed him? It seemed impossible, but he couldn't deny the evidence right in front of him. And if the metal was capable of healing his wounds, what other powers did it possess?

After Sid had climbed out of the hole he had dug, he turned his attention back to Lily, who was lying nearby with her wounds still visible. He retrieved the strange metal object he had found and attempted to use its power to heal her injuries, but to no avail.

Despite this setback, Sid refused to lose hope and remained determined to find a way to unlock the full potential of the object and use it to protect those he loved.

But he was jolted from his thoughts when he heard a loud shout outside their house. It was the voice of one of Zion's lackeys. Was this some kind of setup? Was he being framed for something he didn't do? His mind raced as he considered the possibilities.

Before Sid could react, Lily's strained yet determined voice spoke out, interrupting his thoughts.

"Sid, you need to get out of here. You'll be in grave danger if you stay."

"No, I can't leave you here alone," Sid protested, his heart racing with fear.

"Don't worry about me, Sid. I'm already a broken woman. They can't do anything worse to me," she spoke with great hatred in her voice.

"Don't say that, Lily," Sid replied, his voice gentle and reassuring.

"You're still as pure as ever, if not more so in my eyes." He looked at her with a soft smile. Despite everything that was happening, he couldn't help but feel a sense of comfort being around her. They had been friends for years, and he would do anything to avenge her.

"Promise me that you will live on," she pleaded, her eyes filled with tears as she gazed at him, a mix of love and pain etched on her face.

Sid hesitated for a moment, torn between his desire to protect Lily and the need to save his own skin. But in the end, he knew what he had to do. He nodded to her and made his way to the door, determined to escape and find a way to take his revenge.

"I promise, I'll take my revenge and come back, no matter what it takes." He spoke with conviction, his eyes blazing with a fierce fire as he gazed at her. There was no way he was going to let this go. He had to make things right, and he would do whatever it took to make sure justice was served.

"I know that you will," Lily replied with a sweet smile, despite the bruises that marred her skin. She tried to show him her most beautiful smile, wanting to reassure him even in the midst of her pain.

"I believe in you, Sid." Lily smiled as she watched him leave. She felt a sense of pride and hope in him, seeing how the strange metal had seemingly healed his body in an instant. She knew that he would come back, stronger and more determined than ever before.

As she lay there, waiting for Sid to return, Lily made a promise to herself not to give up, no matter how hard the road got. She would wait for him to come back and avenge them

With a fierce determination in her heart, Lily closed her eyes and rested, ready for whatever the future might bring.
