We've been technically on the run for about... four years now? Maybe bordering five? I've lost count, really, what with the constant stress that I've been putting on myself for this shvt. To think that I managed to adapt to this kind of lifestyle was amazing in retrospect.

"Yeah... I get the feeling," I heard Lise sigh beside me. "I know you know that I'm stressing myself out because of you. And I know that I might have an unhealthy obsession with you, but you never really stopped me from developing these feelings. Why?"

"Being rather blunt, huh," I let out an amused cough. "You know I believe in free will. The ability to choose what you will is something that I greatly value. I always give you advice, maybe even tell you not to do things, but I never really put too much stock in stopping you from doing them in the first place." I let out a heavy sigh. "For better or for worse, you chose what you've become. As did I."
