With Aria's insistence, we eventually found ourselves at the edge of the forest. The grassy field beyond us was filled with dots and clumps of troops heading their way toward our location; the vast scope of this war just now sinking in as my feet followed our nominal guide.

"This way."

Cutting through what looked to be an unused path, Lise and I silently followed the former Primezahl through whatever route this was that we were using. The surrounding area that we were traversing seemed to turn more mountainous the more we went up. I couldn't see any more soldiers at this point, and Lise hadn't notified us of anything resembling an army for a while now, so I guess this really was the path that Aria constantly used.
