"I want to see you before you go. Can I?"

Despite being stunned by Lucas' request, Liliana wanted to agree. His words mirrored what she had in mind.

Liliana grew more aware of the budding feelings for Lucas in her heart. Instead of trying to ignore them as if they didn't exist, she just let it flow like a stream. Calm and comforting.

"Alright," Liliana's tone had a hint of a smile, "I want to see you too, Mr. Liu. Where are you now?"

The time was nearing seven in the evening. Lucas might still be at the park or returning from there. Even until now, he had yet to break the streak of bringing Honeypuff to the lake park for a stroll.

"I'm coming from the lake. Well... you can meet Honeypuff for the last time before you go too."

Liliana chuckled as she caught the trace of nervousness in Lucas' voice. Then, she told him that she would be waiting at the sanatorium. He said that he might get there in ten minutes.
