บท 267: Scandal Crisis Averted

Elaine sniffed, her initially dull gaze suddenly sharpened. She slowly stood up, her back slightly hunched. Her eyes landed on Asher's impassive countenance.

"Stop making trouble," Alvin shot a glare at his sister, "We're going home."

Alvin didn't want to break his aunt and uncle's hearts by relaying what Elaine had done but, at the same time, this was not something he could hide.

No matter what, Elaine's parents had to know!

"I said no! I won't accept this!" Elaine smacked her chest hard, tears streaming down her face again, "Brother Asher, I waited for you! You finally left that bastard! Why can't you choose me?!"

"Don't call her a bastard!" Asher erupted, triggered by how Elaine addressed Liliana as.

Elaine's expression contorted in insanity. Gritting her teeth, she made a threat, "If you keep pushing me... if you can't accept me... I'll kill myself!"

"ELAINE!" Alvin abruptly stood up, "Are you crazy?"
