บท 164: The Estranged Brothers

Lucas pulled himself out of the shock. Pursing his lips, he took a step forward, resuming his walk until he got nearer to Kevin. A sense of discomfort began to rise within him.

All this time, Lucas had never told anyone in his family about his studying at Dewsbury Culinary Institute. He kept his contact with his mother and Kevin below minimal, only occasionally replying to their texts and calls.

The last time was two weeks ago.

Standing opposite Kevin, Lucas refrained from sighing out loud. He quietly studied the appearance of his youngest brother.

Kevin looked a bit unkempt, distraught even. It was so unlike how he usually used to present himself.

"Come with me."

Without even asking about Kevin's well-being, Lucas told his brother to follow him. He didn't wait for Kevin to reply. Lucas immediately left the hut, changing his direction to the park nearby the lake.
