Inside the home study, Thomas sat at the working desk. Head lowered, his expression was solemn. He had been holing himself up in this room after dinner.

"If you think so, Uncle Thomas. Maybe I should rethink our recent collaboration. Perhaps the Xin Corporation can handle the loss."

Asher's threat continued lingering in Thomas' mind. He wanted to say that the younger man was just bluffing but, he actually didn't dare.

Throughout the years the Shen and the Xin worked together, this was the first time Asher came up with a threat. He was never someone who decided things based on emotions.

Yet, it might change now.

Asher's current behavior toward Liliana sent questions rising in Thomas' mind. He knew that the dynamic in their relationship had changed after their divorce.
