บท 84: Her Time Might Be Drawing Near

Liliana calmly explained more about Lucas' situation to Old Madam Shen despite knowing Attorney Su had done it yesterday.

Madam Ma arrived with the tea and light snacks. She joined them at the garden table.

"There are too many suspicious points. Well... even though Miss Mu defamed Mr. Liu, there's a concerning matter about her."

"The old bruises?" asked Old Madam Shen, recalling what she had heard from both Attorney Su and Liliana earlier.

Nodding, Liliana explained more, "Mr. Liu said it's weird too. We suspect that Miss Mu might be abused by her new boyfriend. It's still speculation. Attorney Su said we need more concrete evidence."

The more Liliana thought about it, the more she was convinced by the speculation.

"Hurm... What that Mu lass did is bad. She tried to slander an innocent man. But, if she's really a domestic violence victim, we still need to help her," Old Madam Shen shared her opinion.

Liliana and Madam Ma agreed.
