บท 23: You Can't Help Everyone
After handing the bowl of mineral water to the thin woman, Xu Xiang got into the mule cart again. This time, she took out a piece of paper, a box of milk, a box of cereal and a water bag from the space. She rewrapped the cereal in paper and poured the milk into the water bag. After that, she put the empty cereal and milk cartons back in her space.
Lifting the mule cart cover, Xu Xiang saw the thin woman still standing there with an empty bowl. Seeing her coming out, the thin woman handed over the empty bowl with both hands, and bowed deeply to her.

Before her head hit the hard ground, Xu Xiang helped her to stand up. Seeing that the other officers were already awake, she said, "Go. Keep the food and water safe. I'm not responsible for you if anything happens."
The thin woman nodded and said, "Thank you, Young Lady. Thank you very much."
Xu Xiang looked at her thin back, thinking that this world is worse than the apocalypse world. At least in the apocalyptic world, human beings still have the opportunity to awaken their own abilities and be strong enough to survive. Her hand paused for a second, before she continued to pour the medicine. Putting down the medicine pot on the ground, she walked to him with the bowl of medicine. Sitting beside him, she silently handed him the medicine bowl.
After a long silence, she said, "I know. But if I don't do anything, it will leave a bad taste in my heart. I do this not to help others, but to soothe my own heart."
Xiao Shao blew on the medicine for a while, and drank it in one breath after it slightly cooled down. Holding the empty bowl in his hands, he lowered his eyes and spoke in a low voice.
"You know, if you want to make a difference, you must possess enough strength. If you don't, don't just blindly do something you'll regret later."
Xu Xiang glanced at him, then raised her head to look at the slowly brightening sky. The two sat there quietly with their own thoughts, until the others woke up. When Xiao Han woke up, he saw the two of them sitting side by side peacefully. He rubbed his eyes a few times and looked at them again, wondering if his eyes were deceiving him.
Seeing that they were already awake, Xu Xiang said, "I have brought breakfast. Let's have something to eat before they urge us to start the journey."
She went to get the bowls and spoons from the mule cart, and opened the packet of assorted cereals. The Xiao family looked at the assorted cereals curiously, and watched her pour it into six bowls. After that, she opened the water bag and poured out the warm milk.
When they saw the milk, they couldn't help but give her an extra look. When the Xiao family members saw the milk, they all had the same thought. They looked at each other and knew that they had the same thoughts.
Not seeing them glancing at each other, Xu Xiang gave the biggest size bowl to Xiao Shao, the big size bowl to Xiao Yi, the medium size bowl to Xiao Han, and the normal size bowls to Wen Wan and Xiao Jing.
Holding a normal size bowl herself, she looked at them and said, "I don't know if it suits your taste, but I can't cook for the time being, so I can only prepare this kind of dry food."
Looking at the colorful assorted cereals and smelling the sweet milky aroma from the bowl, Xiao Jing smiled and said, "It's the first time I've seen this kind of food. What is it called?"
Xu Xiang thought about it and decided to use the original name. "It's called milk cereals."

Xu Xiang looked at their empty bowls and couldn't help being a little surprised. She thinks that she eats very fast, but compared with the Xiao family, her eating speed can be said to be slow. Just when she was still surprised, she heard the sound of Xiao Shao smacking his lip coming from her side. She looked at him and saw his eyes fixed on the empty bowl in his hand.
