บท 31: Chapter 31: Goodbyes

I sat in my bedroom, staring out the window at the town below. After my emotional exit from Leo yesterday, I couldn’t bear to look at him. He must’ve thought I was an absolute mess of a person. In all honesty, he’d be right. I had heard him and Orene leave sometime last night just before dinner, and return well into the evening. I found myself wondering about trivial things, like how the rest of his day went or how he was feeling. But I couldn’t bring myself to face him. I knew in doing so, I’d be back at square one.

My half-packed bag sat on my floor in the same spot it had been for the past few days. I couldn’t bring myself to continue filling it. I hadn’t changed my mind. Even though everything around me had gone haywire since then, I was still resolute on the fact that I had to leave. Yet, it still didn’t change the fact that the thought of potentially never being in Bloodmoon again or seeing Leo alive, hurt.
