"Paige is not my type of woman, you said that yourself. Yet you're wondering why I'm so smitten with her? Maybe, just maybe it is because she is not my type of woman. How about that Felix? How about that!" Frankie barked angrily.
"Point of correction, my sexual life can never be compared to yours. I do not break helpless women. I only have sex for crying out loud and with their consent. Most times I pay for it. I do not take advantage of women!" Felix replied while Frankie bursted into laughter.
"You are so delusional. You meet these girls that are from broken homes and are willing to do anything for the money and you offer them money mostly peanuts just to have your way with them and you call that consensual? Bro, get real for once. You are no better than me. The only difference between us is that you let that part if your life ruin your personality while I separate my personal and sexual affairs perfectly." Franklin replied. "So, run along and find something to do with your time cause your little sermon make no sense when you do just as much as you accuse me of."
Felix listened to his brother as he sobered up. "Let's talk to our parents Frankie. You're my only brother. Let's tell them the challenge you are facing." Felix offered.
"You can start with yours. As for me, I'm good. I'm perfect. Thank you."
Felix laughed oddly. "Wow!" He exclaimed. "I can barely recognize you. You know what? I'm not going to interfere with whatever it is you have with Paige. But, you'd better be careful. We all know that Kentley doesn't play with his loved ones. If he has feelings for Paige, then do not expect him to back down because of you. And if you ever put her in harm's ways, no one need to tell you what to expect. Because you know that he'll come very hard on you and anybody that stand in his way. Best know that I will never stand in his way. So, I'll advise you Frankie, since Kentley have good intentions towards this girl and you don't, then you should let her go. It is better now than later. This family is not ready for war with anybody because of your careless attitude." Felix said opening the door. He then turned to face to his brother. "You should freshen up quickly. Breakfast will soon be served." He said before walking away closing the door behind him.
"Fuck!!!" Frankie yelled hitting his leg on the bed frame. Before sitting down on the couch. All his life, he has never imagined that his younger brother would ever speak to him in such manner. Few minutes after calming himself down and getting a grip over his temper, he finally placed a call across to Paige in order to check up on her. "Hello princess." He called Paige when she picked up.
"Hey Frankie," Paige called. "Good morning."
"Good morning sweet girl." He replied causing Paige to blush hard. "How was your night?" He asked.
"It was perfect." She replied truthfully. Contrary to what she thought last night, she found out that she slept so peacefully unlike her previous night at the Kentleys mansion. Though before she fell asleep, last night, her thoughts were occupied by the image of Simon and Fiona sitting together. She kept remembering how angry she felt seeing them together. Paige told herself that the anger she felt wasn't because she saw them together, it was because Simon pretended not to have liked Fiona before then. But seeing them smiling and looking so comfortable with each other's company only made her feel like he took her for a fool.
"I'm glad to hear that." Frankie said bringing her back from her whirlwind of thoughts. So, we'll still go to the museum right?" He asked reminding her that it was the condition she gave him as the only way she would spend the night at the Tedson's Mansion.
"I thought you'll go to work today." She said aloud.
"I outght to, but I guess I can spare a day away from work. I could spare a whole week too if you ask me to." He added in a sexy husky voice.
Paige smiled shyly even though they were speaking on phone, she could imagine him looking at her with his soft dimple and perfect set of teeth." Is the museum too far from the house?" She asked changing the almost steamy atmosphere to an open conversation atmosphere and not in a bit enthusiastic to go anywhere. She just wanted to stay indoors and chill but of course with Frankie.
"It's a bit far, but not too far. In the absence of traffic, we can get there within two hours." He explained.
"Uhh, that's a bit far Frankie. Let's do something else maybe. Something that won't require driving too far away from home. I'm suppose to return to the Kentleys this morning. I told Simon that I would be back this morning. But over the night, I figured I could spare more time here since Emily won't be back till tomorrow." She explained.
"That's so lovely. Thank you so much princess. So, you'll go back in the evening then?" He asked.
"Yeah, the evening is fine." She agreed.
"Great, where do you want us to go?" He asked.
"Mmm, I don't know, you tell me. You are the host. We could stay indoors if you want us to cause I don't really mind." She added.
"We have a garden just beside the house. Would you love a mini picnic with just snacks, fruit juice, an iPad to see a movie together and maybe our phones to take a couple of pictures. We could talk and maybe get to know each other better. This is like a very rare opportunity for us to know more about ourselves." He added sweetly.
"Honestly, I would love that." She replied happily. This was what she wanted. Being in a conducive space with him while they talk and get to know each other better. She has already planned on consenting to be his girlfriend if he ever asked. She established before coming to Crescent Fall that she needed a relationship with someone more stable and maybe professional if she can use the word. Simon was loving but she was not ready to be drawn to his type of world. He had an abusive father who murdered his mother and sisters that have shot and killed people! Simon himself wasn't innocent as well. That wasn't the type of family she wanted to involve herself with. Simon indeed have a lot going on around him and she wanted better. She is not a baby to not know that Frankie had a thing for her. So, she promised herself that she was going to salvage the situation and make a name for herself. She needed stability as well. Being born into an average home doesn't mean that she have to settle for average.
She smiled as she thought within herself. She might be planning on using Frankie to get what she want which was a taste of wealth, power and affluence but then she was very sure within her that Frankie was a nice man. So ending up in a relationship or even marriage with him wouldn't be so bad. "I would really love a home picnic in the garden." She told him smiling.
"That's settled then. I will inform them to set up the garden for a picnic." He told her. "You can get dressed. Breakfast should be ready in no time." He told her.
"Okay Babe." She replied with a seductive whisper.
"Babe," Frank repeated smiling. "I like that. I want to get used to it. Could you call me that more often?" He asked.
"Sure. I also love being called princess by you." She told him.
"I will call you princess always." He said with a heartwarming smile.
"And I'll call you Babe always." She replied.
"I'll leave you to freshen up then." He said. "Once I'm done, I'll meet you up in your room and we'll head to the dining hall together. Is that okay by you?" He asked.
"Yes please." She replied. "I'll freshen up quickly then. See you in a bit." She told him before hanging up.
"Yes!" Frankie exclaimed happily. The fact that Paige was warming up to him made him extremely happy. He couldn't help but imagine how good they will look as a couple. This was part of what he wanted, to have Paige all to himself and if things continue this way, he was very sure Paige will be his woman in no time.
Keeping her phone on the bed, Paige opened the not so full wardrobe and picked out a blue flared gown with pink embroidery on it's tips. Seeing where she dropped her bracelet and earrings before going to bed last night, she quickly picked them up and packed inside her bag not wanting to forget anything whenever she's ready to go. She checked to ensure that her door was locked before slipping out of her sleepwear and made her way to the bathroom.
