บท 41: The Unknown
“Father, it wasn't my fault she called my mother a wench that's why I slapped her " Sharon lied not even feeling a little bit of guilt then her Father looked at her.
“Even if Felicia had called your mother wench, you could have let it be for a while then I would have taught her a lesson my own way. You have to look for a way to apologise to Felicia before Fyneface does something to my company” Mr Badmus said and left the room but Sharon sneered at him as he left the room.
"He's behaving like he's still the owner of the company besides here did mom even meet dad? He's such a loser when he can't even protect his own company, how do I expect him to protect me?" Sharon said inwardly.
“Mum..”Sharon called but Esther raised her hand stopping her statement and Sharon wondered why her mum was angry also. “Sharon, I wonder what's wrong with you? I've always warned you not to behave so rashly but you never listen. Find a way to get out this mess you got yourself into” Esther said as she left the room.
“Mom please, you can't do this to me” Sharon pleaded and immediately followed her.
Fyneface carried Felicia into the car and dropped her on the seat gently. Kissing her lightly on the lips he said to her
“Stay here, I'll be right back. I just want to talk to Mrs Kate quickly” Fyneface said but Felicia held his hands immediately
“Please don't shout at mum, she didn't do anything wrong” Felicia pleaded and he smiled
“I know so stop worrying and relax, okay” Fyneface said and Felicia smiled sweetly but he couldn't resist the urge of kissing her again before leaving the car.
When Fyneface came back to the car and drove off, Felicia noticed the change of his countenance in the car beause he didn't say anything ever since he came back into the car.
So she moved closer to him snuggling then he put his hands around her.
“What's wrong?” Felicia asked but he looked into her eyes and asked her a question
“Why didn't you tell me about your kleptomania issue?” Fyneface asked Felica who looked stunned,
“What.....how...when” Felicia asked not able to even form a complete statement but Fyneface sighed and told her how he got to know about it.
*****FLASHBACK
Fyneface left the car, walked towards Mrs Kate and noticed the small paper bag she was holding.
“Ma please, I apologise for shouting at you earlier and thank you for taking care of Licia all this while” Fyneface said bowing a little then Mrs Kate smiled and hugged him tightly.
“Okay, I'll leave now Na but we will surely come back to visit you whenever Licia is well again” Fyneface said as he took his leave but Mrs Kate held him back and handed over the paper bag to him.
“Take this. I don't want Licia to forget her medicine again so she won't have migraine” Mrs Kate said but Fyneface shook his head.
“Don't worry about the medicine. I'll get my doctor to check her when we get home and he'll prescribe medicines for her”
“No my son, this medicine is not for her injury but It's for her...”Mrs Kate was about saying but she stopped and looked reluctant.
“Licia will be so mad at me. I shouldn't be the one telling you this”Mrs Kate said but Fyneface held her hand
“Ma You have to tell me because this has to do with my wife's wellbeing.” Fyneface gave her a pleading look before she decided to speak up
“This medicine is for her kleptomania” Mrs Kate finally said and Fyneface stared at her in shock.
"Kleptomania, you mean my wife is a Klepto" Fyneface asked
***END OF FLASHBACK
“Why didn't you tell me? I could have been able to at least help you in a way,” Fyneface said quietly struggling to keep the anger in him. He doesn't know the reason why he was angry probably because she doesn't trust him enough to tell him personal things.
“Fyne.........” Felicia was about saying but he cut her off
“Don't say anything. You just have to focus on getting better” Fyneface said to her but she looked at him again wanting to say something.
“Don't say anything Licia, Just relax okay” Fyneface said forcing a smile. Then he cuddled her and kissed her on the nose.
“Just go to sleep” Fyneface said but he could see her eyes filled up with tears
“Come on, dont cry. It hurts to see you cry just go to sleep and I'll wake you up when we get home” Fyneface assured then he began rocking her slowly until she finally fell asleep.
She was mumbling something in her sleep so he put his ears close to her and she was whispering sorry over and over again then Fyneface sighed as he still couldn't help but feel hurt that If Mrs Kate never told him, then she would never open up to him?
Felicia yawned as she slowly opened her eyes but closed it immediately as the harsh sun rays stung her. It was morning already and Fyneface promised to wake her up when they get home but he didn't. She suddenly sat up remembering all that happened yesterday then she bit her fingers nervously.
"He must be so mad at me but what do I do? Sharon thought worriedly as she looked at the other side of the bed but he wasn't there. She touched the side but it was completely cold which means he either got up from bed early or he never slept there. She sighed and put her head on her knees.
"I didn't mean to hurt him but I always end up hurting him" Felicia lamented but when she looked up, the door opened and she was surprised to see Fyneface coming in holding a filled tray and he smiled seeing that she was awake and hurriedly brought the tray to the bedside drawer.
He sat on the bed and asked
“How do you feel now? Does your head still hurt?” He asked but Felicia shook her head negatively and looked at the tray. He quickly carried the plate of soup and began to feed her then she smiled.
“I thought you were allergic to the kitchen. How did you prepare all these?” Felicia asked baffled.
“Well, I had to call the maid to come help me when I almost burnt the kitchen” Fyneface replied as the tip of his ears turned pink then he blushed in embarrassment while Felicia laughed but immediately stopped when her head began aching but Fyneface handed her a cup of water
“Don't laugh so hard, you still haven't recovered yet” Fyneface said but Felicia suddenly felt her eyes filling with tears so she held his hands and kissed it.
“Why are you being so nice to me? In my life, I've only ever relied on Mrs Kate and I didn't have any other person to lean on as I had to constantly watch out for Sharon and her mother. Felicia said with tears in her eyes but Fyneface smiled and wiped off her tears.
“You know, I was so hurt yesterday that you didn't trust me well enough to tell me personal things. But I can't stand watching you in pain and when you cry it hurts alot so please stop crying” Fyneface said and Felicia kept quiet.
“I'm sorry. It won't happen again. I was just so scared of what would happen when you find out that your wife is a Klepto. It won't happen again” Felicia said but Fyneface smiled and kissed her
“My wife is Klepto and and she stole my heart.......”Fyneface said inwardly but Felicia didn't hear the rest because he said it quietly.
Suddenly he brought out her phone and showed her the lines of messages with all of them saying,
“I'm sorry.”Felica looked at the sender and saw Sharon then she chuckled.
"Did she even sleep at all" Felicia asked but Fyneface interrupted her with a question
“Have you forgiven her?” he asked and Felicia responded positively but as for Fyneface, it wasn't the same on his path
“I won't forgive her, she still has to pay for what she did” Fyneface said and Felicia tried to protest but he immediately shoved a spoonful of food into her mouth.
“Just shut up and eat your food quietly. You are too noisy.”
Later at night, Mrs. Esther sneaked out looking around cautiously before entering her room and locked the door. She then went into the bathroom and called someone.
"Hey honey, when are you going to come home? Your daughter has been missing you a lot," Mrs. Esther said to the unknown person
"I don't have the time right now. That fool Badmus has lost his company to his daughter. What do we do now?" Esther asked
"Esther, are you serious right now? Do you mean we killed his wife all for nothing. I already told you to convince Badmus to give you and that your foolish daughter some of the shares but instead you allowed this nonsense happen and you're telling me?" The unknown Person said harshly.
"My daughter completely took after her father. She's a fool just like him If only she had agreed to marry Fyneface, all these wouldn't have happened" Esther muttered inwardly but was interrupted by the unknown caller's harsh voice
"Don't test my patience Esther. I didn't allow you kill that woman for this nonsense to happen and to think that she rejected Fyneface of all people whom we could have gotten more fortune from killing" Mr Unknown said furiously and Esther became scared
"I don't know what to do anymore and Fyneface seems to be in love with that girl. I don't understand, the bitch is dead and her daughter is following her footsteps always stepping in our way" Esther said in a way that might appease the unknown caller.
"Listen to me Esther I don't care what you do or how you do it but if you don't look for a means to clear this mess, we will have to send that girl to where we sent her mother meanwhile, come home soon" The unknown caller said before ending the call and Esther looked at her reflection in the mirror.
Few days later,
Felicia was having an argument with Fyneface who refused to go to work
“Fyne, you have to go to work today. I feel much better now and I'll feel guilty if you take another day off to take care of me” Felicia said looking at Fyneface's outfit as he wore shorts and a casual shirt intending to stay at home again.
He's been staying at home for somedays taking care of Feicia. “Hey, I didn't complain, did I? and I'm not missing any work, I work from home and they'll inform me if there's an emergency” he answered and walked over to where she was standing.
She noticed the mischievous smile on his face and knew that he's about to kiss her because he's been doing that a lot. He pulled her closer to himself and put his hand by her forehead to check her temperature but Seeing that it was normal, he finally kissed her and Felicia slowly put her hands around his neck.
She moaned lightly as he trailed kisses from his mouth all the way to the top of her boobs and Felicia moaned a little bit louder when his warm tongue caress her breast.
Suddenly in the middle of the act, he popped a question
“Lee, would you like to attend University?” Fyneface asked and Felicia blinked her eyes as the words finally sunk in her brain.
“University” she asked excitedly.
"I've always wanted to attend the university. But then her excitement faded as sh suddenly realized something.
She hugged him and said,
“Fyneface I'm scared. I'm not free to go to public places because of my kleptomania. I don't want to embarrass you outside” Felicia said.
“You are my feisty kitten and my feisty kitten doesn't easily get scared hence she's always sassy” Fyneface uttered as he kissed her forehead lightly.
Felicia smiled at the nickname he called her. 'Feisty kitten'. “Don't worry, my brother Newstyle will be there to protect you. And I'll setup appointments with the new therapist for you” Fyneface said then Felicia smiled then tiptoed and kissed him with a thank you on her lips.
“When you get to Uni, don't go about chasing all those college boys around” Fyneface warned grumpily while Felicia chuckled at his jealous face which was adorable.
“I won't when I have a handsome, loving, caring and matured husband like you, why should I follow immature boys around?” Felicia retorted but Fyneface laughed and brought out his phone.
“I'll call the provost of the University right away and settle your admission. I can't wait to see how cute you will look in uniform while going to school.” Fyneface said smiling
“Dummy, uniform is for Secondary school and not the University” Felicia answered and held his hand before doing her puppy face trick.
“But, can I stay at the hostel?” Felicia asked but just as she expected, he rejected,
“What, hell no you can't leave your husband all alone here” Fyneface complained but Felicia kissed his hand lightly and pleaded,
“Please Pretty please” Felicia pleaded but Fyneface sighed and said
“You can't stay at the college's hostel” But when he saw Felicia's sad expression he finally agreed
“Newstyle has a mansion in the school area so you can stay there” Fyneface said and Felicia jumped up happily and hugged him.
"I can't believe I'll finally get to experience what university life is all about"
“You are so cruel Lee so you want to leave your husband all alone here and flirt with boys at college” Fyneface complained but Felicia smiled.
“Comeon Fynee I've already told you that you can come visit anytime you want I'm all yours” Felicia said then he kissed her and brought out a credit card which he gave to her
“What's this for?” Felicia asked surprised
“I want you to have this credit card anytime you want to go shopping” Fyneface said but Felicia attempted to return the card as she already have a gold credit card but he refused and she had no other choice but to accept the card.
“Now stop distracting me, I have to talk to the provost right away” Fyneface said and left the room then Felicia took her own phone and saw the unread strings of messages from Sharon but she chuckled, ignored it and checked her Instagram page.

Sharon walked to the kitchen grumpily while holding her phone. "That stupid Felicia hasn't replied to my messages yet" Sharon mummured as she went to the coffee machine and made a cup of coffee. While sipping her coffee and waiting for at least a reply from Felicia, a maid walked into the kitchen and screamed when she saw her and Sharon also ran out immediately.
