"I guess I have to take this more seriously now, kekeke. It will be fun to crush them" - Vetto gave a toothy grin, as pure malice and hatred leaked from him.

Asta tightened his grip on his sword. He felt the intent of this guy through his ki. To put it lightly, he wanted to rip all of them to pieces.

"Be careful. He really wants us dead" - Asta said to the others, but he kept his eyes on Vetto.

They all nodded as they took formation.

Asta, Luck and Kiato were the close quarters fighters. Magna and Noelle were behind them. They were the mid to long rage fighters. At the very back was Kahono, she would heal and help them recharge their mana.

Noah in the dark room was pleasantly surprised that they can come up with a formation that fast.

Vetto laughed even louder, then he ran at them. Asta and Luck rushed at him first. Luck used his speed to circle around Vetto, while Asta used the size and weight of his sword to take on Vetto in a head on confrontation.

*Clank*

The sound of metal sounded as Asta's sword and Vetto's claws made contact. Just when there was a chance, Luck lunged at Vetto from behind, but Vetto was able to react in time. Swinging the flat side of his blade, Asta was able to give Luck footing to launch himself at Vetto again.

Vetto jumped back as a rain of fire balls and water bullets came down on him. Vetto jumped around the rain of attacks. Vetto decided to take care of the ones further back.

Just as Vetto was about to rush at Noelle and Magana, two swords came from behind him, Vetto felt danger so he jumped up, but he wasn't fast enough. A deep slash appeared on his leg.

"Damn! That was my chance" - Kiato said as he regrouped with the rest.

"You did well. He can't move as fast now. I'll be able to take him down" - Luck ran again at Vetto one more time.

Asta didn't waste anytime and followed Luck. Kiato also ran after them.

Luck jumped up in the air and tried to land an attack over Vetto. Asta appeared right in front of Veto swinging down his missive sword. Vetto was about to back up, but he felt the same presence as before, Kiato had circled around him with his quick footwork.

Just as the three thought that they had trapped him, {Rhinoceros Armor}

A rhinoceros phantom appeared around Vetto.

He knew that his armor can tank any hits from the other two, but the anti-magic would slice right through his armor. So Vetto jumped back. Using the armor to push Kiato out of the way.

Seeing their team attack didn't work, they wanted to get back and regroup one more time. But Kiato was knocked down.

Before Kiato could stand up, "I think a pest like you should stay down" - Vetto said in a deep angry voice as he stomped Kiato's foot, completely shattering it.

*AARRGGGHHH!*

"KIATO!" - Kahono shouted as she ran at her brother.

"Wait, Kahono!" - Noelle ran after her friend

"AHH, screw it!" - Magna decided that he should get closer as well.

Vetto turned to look at the three approaching, a malicious smile appeared on his face. {Cheetah Charge}

Vetto's sped towards them , as if the injury on his leg had no effect on him. Vetto pulled his arm back, ready to launch a powerful punch at the approaching three. Just before the punch was delivered, portals appeared, and crimson threads came through them.

Kahono was pulled by the strings into one portal, the same happened to Noelle and Magna. Lastly a portal appeared where Kiato was and was pulled in as well.

"It seems that there is no end to you damn pests" - Vetto said in an angry tone as his eyes shifted to where Finral and Venessa were standing

Back in the dark room, Noah was watching the screen, he felt bad for Kiato. But with Venessa and Finral there, he was sure that they can last a little longer

[Isn't this a good time to jump in] - Draco

[It would've been if those two didn't show up. They can last a little longer] - Noah

[I see. The spatial mage is very good, he can add the factor of surprise and versatility to their attacks] - Draco pondered

[Correct. This will also cause the others to work together more and improve on their personal skills at the same time] - Noah

Draco and Noah went back to being quite and just watched the fight unfold. Kahono had spent so much mana, trying to fic her brother's leg, but her spell was not strong enough. Not getting any help from Kahono, who spent all her mana trying to heal her brother, the group started feeling the fatigue.

The first to get knocked out was Magna . He had ran out of mana, but he still pushed himself, this caused him to pass out due to mana exhaustion.

The next one out was Luck. Out of all of the ones fighting, Luck was the one to do the most damage. His speed combined with Finral's portals, he was able to land a few hits, but unfortunately he had one of his legs broken by Vetto.

It was down to the last four. Venessa couldn't cause any real damage she could only support her squamates by pulling them away or cause Vetto some small distractions. Finral who was running low on mana. Noelle who had no real strong attacks, and no real fighting experience. And lastly Asta. The other three understood that Vetto was dodging Asta's attacks, so that means that Asta can cause damage to Vetto. Now their goal was to land a decisive hit on Vetto using Asta.

Crimson threads latched onto Asta, while a who bunch of portals appeared all over the cavern.

Nodding at each other, Venessa and Finral started their plan. Asta went along with their plan, since he had nothing better to do. Noelle didn't want to be useless, so she started firing as many water bullets as she can.

Vetto saw their desperate attempt, and couldn't help but smile. "C'mon humans, show me what you got!"

Vetto for a second looked at the folly of water bullets coming at him, then he turned his attention to Asta who was running at him. Vetto ignored the attacks from Noelle, he just focused on the only threat, Asta.

Seeing Vetto ignore her attacks, caused Noelle to feel angry. She was being looked down on, and it was all her fault. She wasn't strong enough to threaten him.

Noelle was going to give up, but looking at Asta, Finral and Venessa doing their best, she couldn't just give up. Noelle started doing the most basic way to strengthen her spells, she started putting more mana into her attacks.

Even as her water bullets had become somewhat stronger, they were still not strong enough. As the power of her attacks had increased, the battle between Vetto and Asta was getting more heated. Vetto was running around the cavern while Asta was following behind him with the assist of Finral's portals and Venessa who would pull him out of Vetto's attacks.

Noelle's attacks that were landing on Vetto's armor, but caused no damage, now they would completely miss him. He was moving too fast for her. Getting more flustered as she watched her friends fight while she couldn't help, Noelle had to come up with something else.

In her moment of desperation, the words of her brother came to mind, "Flow. As a water mage you should understand the importance of flow more than anyone else"

Noelle stopped putting mana into the spell haphazardly, she started on concentrating the mana, making the flow of her spell smother and more streamlined. The flow of her spell had gotten stronger.

Just then the pages of her grimoire started flipping, an empty page started glowing as lines of writing and a magic circle shimmered into existence.

{Water Creation Magic: Sea Dragon Roar} Noelle shouted as a water geyser shot out of her wand, The tip of the geyser turned into the head of a dragon. The water dragon roared as it launched at break neck speed towards Vetto.
