บท 27: 27- To The Underwater Temple

It didn't take the crew that long to reach the beach. Once they got there, they all changed into their swimming suits, except for captain Yami, he went off somewhere.

Noah looked at the beach in front of him and he couldn't help but think back to the last time he was in the ocean. 'It was when I lost my life wasn't it? Well, this time I'll have some fun. And that starts with pranking the squad'

[So what do humans do on the beach?] - Draco

[Sunbathe, relax, swim in the water, build sand castles, and other things that I can't think about right now] - Noah

[Which one are you doing. Building a sand castle sounds fun, lets do that] - Draco

[Nah, we will do something more fun] - Noah said in an evil tone

[What are you planning] - Draco

[To prank the squad, maybe have them start fighting] - Noah

[You don't need to do anything, just let them be and they will start a fight on heir own] - Draco

[Hahahaha, true that] - Noah laughed

Noah looked towards Charmy. She had pulled out a watermelon, and then placed it on the sand. She stepped back a handful of steps and put on a blindfold.

Venessa was near by and she was helping her play. Venessa kept telling her where to go to smash the watermelon.

"No keep going further. Ten more steps and you will be there" - Noah suddenly shouted

Charmy believed him and kept walking. Just as she took her tenth step, she was standing right behind Magna. Magana was on his hands and knees building a sand castle

"Now swing as hard as you can horizontally" - Noah said. Venessa was going to stop Charmy at first, but when she saw it was Magana, she decided to stay quite

*SSWWOOSSHH*

"AAAAAAAARRGGGHHHH"

Charmy swung the bat in her arm as hard as she can. Magana, who was too busy to notice her, started screaming and rolling on the sand.

Magna stood up, while Charmy took off her blindfold, and the two started looking around. Magna was looking for who it was to smack him, while Charmy was looking for the smashed watermelon.

"How dare you Venessa?! Why would you make Charmy do that?" - Noah asked in a surprised voice

"What now?" - Venessa was surprised

"You damn drunken witch! How dare you do that to me. That's why no one likes you!" - Magna

"You street punk, you should thank me that it was Charmy who hit you. If it was me, I would've smacked that punk attitude out of you" - Venessa

Magna and Venessa started a fight. Noah was happy with his work, but he knew he can do more. he proceeded to look over at one specific area where he saw Luck. Luck seemed to be busy talking with Sekke.

[Why is he here?] - Draco

[Who knows] - Noah

Noah walked closer to Luck, "Hey Luck. Look over there, Venessa and Magana had started a fight competition to see who is stronger, do you want to join?" - Noah wasn't even done and Luck had already ran towards them while firing magic attacks at them

The day on the beach was spent as the squad goofed off. Everyone was doing their own thing. Like usual Finral was trying to pick up girls. Gray was sitting in a corner with the occasional smoke coming out of her mouth. Venessa was drinking under an umbrella. Magna and Luck were still fighting, even after hours of running around. Charmy was stuffing her face. Gauche was showing the beach to his sister through the mirror.

Noah looked over to another place and saw Noelle in a yellow bikini sitting on the sand with Asta. Noah decided to go for a swim.

*Hours Later*

Just like that the whole day was over, and it was time for the squad to spend the night in one of the rented places near the beach. Even after a whole day of a running around and shouting, Magna and Luck were still fighting.

Venessa never stopped drinking. Charmy also never stopped eating. Finral had gone mad and started talking to a doll as if she was a girl he's flirting with. Asta and Noelle were sitting on a couch nearby. Captain Yami had spent the whole time in the bathroom. Gauch was watching his sister sleeping through his mirror.

"I'm going out to get some fresh air" - Noah said to no one in particular

Noah walked out of the rented cabin and walked away for some distance. Once he was far away he went into his dragon surge.

[Why did you go far before going into dragon surge] - Drago

[I'm not hiding it or anything. I just didn't want them to get alarmed that's all] - Noah

[Ok. Where are we going then] - Draco

[To get some fresh air] - Noah smirked

With a flap of his wing, Noah has launched himself towards the sea.

[I want to see how fast we can fly] - Noah added as he increased his speed.

*SWOOSH-BOOM*

Noah had broken the sound barrier. The cold air of the night was brushing against his face. Noah then tilted his body, from going parallel to the sea water, he started ascending towards the sky.

*SWOOSH*

Noah had reached mach-2. A moment later he had reached mach-3, and a second later he reached mach-4. Noah flew past the night clouds, casing them to disperse instantly. Once Noah reached high enough he did a spiral maneuver and lunged towards the sea.

Noah kept flapping his wing, as he felt the cold air cascade off of his wing. Noah headed straight towards the sea. Just as he about a 5 miles away from the sea surface he charged up a cosmic flare in his right fist. Noah started spinning around as he kept going straight at the sea.

Just as was a few feet away from the surface, Noah threw his fist. The purple flames exploded once it made contact with the water. A massive ten miles radius area had been instantly evaporated.

Noah can be seen hovering just an inch above sea surface, or rather where the sea would've been. Looking around him, Noah was happy with his speed and impact power.

[What do you think] - Noah

[That's quite cool that you can do that already. Even though I couldn't do that before, but my sister was able to do something similar a few days after our birth] - Draco

[Ok, hater. I'm a human not a dragon] - Noah

[I'm just saying] - Draco laughed

[What ever. Do you want to head back, or should we fly around a little more] - Noah

[Let's go above the clouds again] - Draco

Noah nodded before he took off towards the sky. Noah didn't stop until he was above the clouds. Looking at the moon in the sky, Noah decided to just drift in the sky while star gazing.

[This looks very nice] - Draco

[I agree. It looks very nice] - Noah

After his little flight in the night sky, Noah decided to head back in for the night. Making his way towards the cabin. Once he got there he noticed that, Asta and Noelle weren't too far off. The two seemed to be talking near a rocky area on the beach.

Noah smiled and decided to go on to the cabin and not disturb them. Just as he sneakily flew past them, he heard the voice of someone singing.

Noah looked back and saw a slender girl with red eyes. Her brown hair is gathered into a long ponytail and decorated with seashells. She was wearing a white, sleeveless dress made of scales and a red belt

'Her name was...I forgot her name' - Noah tried to remember her name but she was so insignificant he forgot about her.

Since he forgot her name, he decided to wait and watch. He was certain that she will introduce herself.

Noah had to admit, her voice was nice. Noah was floating further above. he was concealing his aura and hid himself using the cover of the night.

"KYAAAA, were you listening?!" - She said when she noticed Asta and Noelle watching her. She jumped off of the rock she was standing on

"Well, there is nothing I can do about it, so you wanna be friends?" - She said as she walked near Asta and Noelle. Once she got closer to them she started talking again.

"I'll introduce myself first. My name is Kahono. What about you?" - Kahono

"My name is Noelle, and this here is dorksta the muscle head" - Noelle said right away

"My name is not dorksta" - Asta shouted

"He is a muscle head though" - Noelle added

"Noelle and Dorksta, nice to meet you!" - Kahono

Noah just silently laughed at them and just shook his head and decided to leave them be. Noah made it to the cabin and relaxed on his bed.

*Morning Next Day*

After a day of goofing off, Noelle and Asta decided to train together along with Kahono. Noelle had kept trying to master a spell, that apparently captain Yami told her to do. It was their way of getting to the underwater temple.

Noah, who was relaxing under the umbrella next to Venessa, was watching her try her best. Asta and Kahono were doing their best to cheer her up, with the occasional advice from Kahono.

Hours of practice and Noelle was frustrated with her self. So she decided to go and talk to Noah.

Noah, who was watching, saw Noelle look at him, and then walked straight at him. [She's here for something. I think she wants some advice] - Draco commented when he saw her coming towards them

[Yeah, I guess.] - Noah slurped his drink

"Uhm, Noah...can I ask you something?" - Noelle seemed hesitant

"Sure, what's up" - Venessa cut in

"She said Noah, is your name Noah?" - Noah looked at Venessa

"She wants some advice on how to impress boys, why would she ask her brother, that's weird of you ask me" - Venessa

"First of all, I wasn't going to ask for advice on how to impress boys. Second I don't need advice, I know how to impress boys on my own, thank you very much" - Noelle hmphed

"Alright kiddo, what ever you say" - Venessa said as she went back to her drinking

"So, did you need something?" - Noah

"Yes. How is it that you control your magic so well. I keep losing control when casting bigger spells. What should I do?" - Noelle

"Don't hold back so much. You lose focus when you try to do many things at once. Molding a spell, and restricting you mana at once, is the reason you lose control. You as a water mage should understand the importance of 'flow' more than anyone else" - Noah

"I see" - Noelle muttered as she walked away, she seemed to be pondering about something.

Noelle then kept training some more. The words of her brother kept ringing in her mind.

Noelle had been trying and for days. She had trained day and nigh. Asta was always there, traning as well, and cheering her on.

Noah always kept his eyes on her, but he gave her some distance. He wanted to make sure she can grow on her own.

Noelle focused on her training everyday for almost a whole week.

On the last night before the full moon. Noelle was able to make her spell worked. Because of her hard work, she was able to make a new spell.

{Water creation magic: Sea Dragon's Cradle} Noah heard her chant the spell as a massive water bubble formed around her.

[Interesting. To think that her new spell has the word dragon in it] - Draco

[Interesting, how? I though it's just a name] - Noah

[Didn't you feel him a few nights ago?] - Draco sounded puzzled

[Feel who?] - Noah was also puzzled

[You know when we went flying around a few nights ago. We passed over an area where I felt a water dragon] - Draco

[Wait, really?!] - Noah

[Yes, though I can tell the dragon was sleeping] - Draco

Noah pondered at what Draco just told him, but he decided to think about that later, now he had to get ready to the underwater temple.

A/N: **SPOILER!** Don't read past this point if you don't want to get spoilers for the Black Clover manga

While I was writing this chapter I was reading about the underwater temple and the priests who live there. On the Black Clover wiki there is a "Sea God" section in the underwater temple page. So I clicked on it. Apparently there is a water dragon near the underwater temple, and he wakes up because of judgement day. And somehow Noelle makes a contract with him!

In all honesty I didn't know that this happened, I'm at chapter 345 in the manga so this is news to me. But I thought that it was cool that the twins (Noah and Noelle) will be contracted to dragons. This is completely a coincidence. I though Noelle was contracted to Undine the water spirit, I have no idea how this happened. Anyway that's all I wanted to share. Hope you enjoyed the chapter!😄
