บท 2: Hello world

"That was a fascinating dream," I murmured to myself, still in a half-awake state. Suddenly, I jolted upright, realizing that I don't sleep. Wide awake now, I looked around, trying to understand my surroundings. I found myself in what appeared to be a throne room, with a giant overdecorated chair at its center. The dim lighting made it difficult to discern the room's details. Nevertheless, the source of the dim lighting seemed inconsequential. What truly mattered was that I felt liberated—free from something.

"Haha!" I burst out, my laughter echoing through the room. "I AM FREEEE!" I exclaimed with delight, unable to contain my excitement.

"Damn, I knew you would eventually lose it, but so close to the end," said a brightly colored fragment of my imagination, wearing a sorrowful expression. It was a three-eyed cat with fur matching the colors of its text, and its jet-black pupils stood out against its vibrant iris and white of the eye.

"Hey, Ice-cream! I was wondering when you guys would show up," I greeted the energetic cat with a mad smile, replacing my laughter.

"So, you haven't completely lost it, huh? Good to see I've done my job," Ice-cream responded with a smug smile.

"Yes, indeed," I affirmed, feeling calmer but still with a lingering smile.

"By the way, how does it feel to glow?" the curious cat asked, tilting its head in fascination.

"Glow?" I questioned, puzzled. Ice-cream nodded, and when I looked down, I noticed that not only was I glowing, but I was also transparent. "Wow, it's so cool!" I exclaimed. My hand appeared as though it were surrounded by a green-glowing mist. "So, I'm like a ghost?" I asked, seeking confirmation.

"It seems so," Ice-cream replied.

I continued to stare at my hand, shifting my focus between it and the floor beneath. "Freaky," I whispered. Ice-cream agreed, nodding in agreement. "Well, there's not much I can do about it now. Let's leave," I declared, my smile fading slightly. "This place gives me the chills," I added, speaking more quietly. An abnormally large door faced the throne, serving as the main entrance and exit. "Who needs doors that big?" I pondered aloud.

"Who knows?" Ice-cream responded. "How do we leave?"

"Through the door," I replied, stating the obvious. "But those doors seem pretty heavy."

"Maybe they're lighter than they look. Try pushing them," Ice-cream suggested.

Uncertain of what else to do, I pushed against the smooth stone slab, grunting and exclaiming, "Open, you stupid door!" Ice-cream cheered me on from the sidelines, but my efforts yielded no results. Frustrated, I exclaimed, "I... WANT... THROUGH!" Suddenly, the resistance on my palms vanished, causing me to lurch forward and cry out in surprise.

"What the hell was that?! Did I open it?" I questioned, seeking confirmation.

"Check for yourself," Ice-cream replied. Rolling over, I discovered the door firmly closed, cutting through my legs just below the knees.

"AAAAHH!" I panicked momentarily, but Ice-cream's voice penetrated my fear. "Calm down. Can you feel your legs?" he asked. Surprisingly, my legs felt perfectly fine, as if they hadn't been severed by the thick stone slab. I drew them toward me, watching as my legs emerged from the door. "You're a ghost, already forgot?" Ice-cream snickered. "Oh, yeah," I muttered, slightly embarrassed, as I got up from my temporary spot of hysteria and looked around.

Stretching before me was a long, wide corridor adorned with giant pillars and towering windows that reached toward the shadowed ceiling. The rhythmic pattern of pillars and windows made it difficult to see the other end due to the prevailing darkness. "Who needs such a long corridor?" Ice-cream pondered, laying his ears flat against his head.

"I don't know," I whispered, picking him up. As I moved, my gaze caught sight of a golden square, perfectly etched into the wall across the hall. Its light remained unwavering, never flickering and radiating an impossibly intense brightness, reminiscent of the entrance to heaven or hell. "Why are you just standing there?" Ice-cream frowned. "Oh, yeah," I responded absentmindedly before hurrying toward the other side of the room.

Once there, I finally saw what had been emitting the blinding light—the source of fascination: a four-pronged star outshining the torch's flames. "Wow, it's so shiny!" I gasped, extending my hand toward it. But as I reached out, my hand passed right through, distorting the star's image. At least now I knew it wasn't because of my ghostly nature.

"Cheer up, Ow. There are probably many other interesting things if we keep looking," Ice-cream encouraged, still nestled against my chest.

And so, our journey continued.

-10 minutes later-

"We're going in circles," I claimed, frustrated.

"No, we're not," echoed our bickering voices through the hallway. "See? This is new!" We entered a large room with three entrances: the one we had exited from, another on the opposite side, and a small one to our right.

In the center of the room stood a long bench in the shape of a circle. On the far side of it lay a piece of armor, seemingly at rest with a spear beside it.

I tensed up, crouching down, and Ice-cream's voice startled me as he whispered in my ear, "I don't think he can hear or see you."

"I know! I just want to be safe," I hissed back, feeling relieved. He rolled his eyes. "Whatever—" he began, but was abruptly interrupted by a voice calling out, "Hey! You! What are you doing here?"
