Lin FenXiang squinted as he put down the final piece of apple required to complete the design he was making of the fruit.

He hunched forward, face devoid of any excessive emotion as he observed his work.

“And... Done.“ He announced, in a low voice, looking at the swan he had made out of the apple, feeling somewhat proud of himself.

From behind him, Madam Yan crept closer, leaning forward to take a closer look at the plate and the swan made out of apple slices standing proudly on it.

“Oh wow,” she sighed, stopping what she was saying to compliment the artist. “This actually looks good.“

Lin FenXiang turned his head slightly, shooting a sheepish grin to the woman, replied. “Does it? Thanks, auntie, it's not the best, but I'm still learning.“

Although his mental age was more than all of them, Mother and Father Lin and Madam Yan and Mister Yan, he didn't quite feel that old around them.
