"Ah!"
Kaya screamed, cowering behind her parents. She couldn't bear to witness the horrifying scene. Her parents were equally tense, but a sense of relief washed over them. Klahadore couldn't match the teenager confronting him. He had intended to harm their family. They had all felt the cold menace of the iron claws on his hands. Fortunately, the teenager arrived swiftly, dealing with the criminal using a sword.
"Are you all right?" Ron asked.
"Oh, we're fine," Kaya's Father replied, nodding his head. He then looked at Ron with gratitude. "Thank you, young man, If it weren't for you, we might have all perished at the hands of Klahadore."
Ron smiled and sheathed his long sword. "No need to thank me."
"Please, help with the cleanup!" Kaya's Father instructed his bodyguards and servants. He then turned to Ron and asked, "Young man, would you be willing to come to our house and join us for a while? It would give us a chance to show our gratitude and express our appreciation for your heroic rescue."
"I would be honored," Ron replied, nodding.
"Indeed" Kaya's mother chimed in, "Without you, we'd have been in grave danger. We never suspected that Klahadore a pirate, was lurking in our home. This was an extremely perilous situation"
She cast a worried glance at Kaya's father. "We aren't in the best of health, and we fear we may not have much time left. If we were to leave our daughter alone, it would be...unimaginable."
Kaya's father, his face somber, looked at Ron with expectation. "This..." Ron pretended to hesitate for a moment before nodding and saying, "Alright, I'd be happy to"
Kaya's father beamed. "Wonderful!" But his expression changed, and he started coughing violently, his face turning red, with blood at the corners of his mouth.
"Daddy, Daddy, are you okay?" Kaya hugged her father, her voice filled with concern.
"It's fine, dear, don't worry," Father Kaya reassured her with a wave of his hand. He turned to Ron and said apologetically, "I'm sorry, I'm not in good health."
"Oh, I see," Ron smiled and said, "If you don't mind, I can help examine the two of you. My medical skills are no less impressive than my swordsmanship!"
This was no exaggeration. Ron's medical expertise was at its peak level. His current skill level was unparalleled in the whole world, and offering his services to Kaya's parents was no small matter.
"What?" Kaya's parents were taken aback. The young man before them was not only skilled in swordsmanship but also possessed medical knowledge?
It was no wonder they had doubts. Becoming proficient in swordsmanship alone would require a substantial amount of time and dedication. If he had also cultivated his medical skills, how extraordinary could his abilities be?
"Really?" In contrast to her parents' skepticism, Kaya was full of excitement. Her interest in medical skills had grown due to her family's medical issues, but her abilities were limited. She had only reached a basic level of medical knowledge, insufficient to treat her parents. She had to watch them suffer, and it weighed heavily on her.
Now, upon hearing Ron's words, she felt as though a savior had appeared. Kaya grabbed Ron's hand and looked at him with hope in her eyes. "You... You can cure my parents' illnesses, can't you? Can you?"
"Hmm!" Ron was moved by Kaya's hand on his, and he nodded reassuringly.
"Absolutely, no problem. As long as you have some basic medical facilities, you don't need anything too advanced; a standard medical room will do."
"That's wonderful! We have all kinds of medicines and surgical tools in our family," Kaya said happily. "I've always been interested in medical knowledge. My parents' illnesses have led to having these facilities in the family."
"Very well, let's head inside," Ron nodded, then called out to Tashigi, "Come here!"
"Who's this?" Kaya noticed a girl of her age and asked with curiosity.
"Oh, she's my little maid," Ron said with a smile, glancing at Tashigi.
Tashigi's inner thoughts were quite different, 'Who do you think you're calling your little maid?'
Reluctantly, she nodded her head and said, "Yes, I'm the maid."
"Alright, let's head into the house!"
Led by Kaya's family, Ron and Tashigi followed them into the house. Several servants trailed behind, while a few bodyguards took care of Klahadore's body.
"Both of you, lie down on the bed, and I'll examine your conditions," Ron said earnestly to Kaya's parents.
"Okay, young brother," they replied. (:3)(XD)
"My name is Ron!" Ron said with a smile.
"My name is Kaya!" Kaya smiled and replied.
Ron proceeded to examine Kaya's parents, taking only a short while to thoroughly assess their conditions.
"You're dealing with a genetic disease, and it's affecting Kaya's health as well, isn't it?" Ron inquired.
"Little Brother Ron is truly remarkable. Just by looking, he can identify my genetic disease!" Kaya's father admitted, "Yes, indeed, it's a genetic ailment. Very few in our family survive to our middle age. Alas, it's our fate, and it has been hard on our Kaya."
"Mom and Dad, you won't die! You won't!" Kaya held her parents' hands, her expression a mix of sadness and determination. "Brother Ron will definitely cure you!"
"Alas..." Kaya's parents exchanged glances. While they held hope, they had not placed much faith in it. After all, their family was affluent, and they had consulted renowned doctors from various places. Yet, these experts couldn't address their genetic ailment. Their only advice had been to abandon their busy lives and relocate to this tranquil village to spend the remaining days with their young daughter.
"No need to worry," Ron assured them with confidence. "I'm unlike those charlatans. Although your genetic disease is quite advanced, typically giving you both less than a year to live, but with my surgical skills, I can save your lives and eradicate this disease."
"What?"
"Really? Is that true?"
Kaya's parents looked at Ron with shock and disbelief.
Upon hearing this, Kaya tightly clung to Ron's arm, her surprise evident. The softness of her embrace pressed against Ron's arm, almost causing him to lose his composure.
