"Oh, but where are my manners?" he snickered in a low tone.
"I am Axiolypito, Wretched Lord, fourth minister of the Obsidian Queen" he presented himself with a safistisfied smile.
"As such, you can be certain that I have enough knowledge on the inside to guide us all to a brighter future!" he covered his mouth with one hand, rubbing his face as he sighed theatrically.
"It is a shame that is has come so far already but what is done, is done, now, what do you say Roderman? This is the only occasion you'll ever have of striking back, even if you believe it futile, you would surely prefer trying fruitlessly than remain passive and helpless for the rest of your life? Heh?" at one point during his speech, his while demeanor changed, turning his amicable and almost jester-like behavior to something for akin to his usual self.
The guards remain in their position, but it was clear that their legs were shaking, not knowing what to do.
The advisors looked at each other and murmured things to one another back and forth.
King Roderman remained composed and still, seemingly unaffected by the heavy atmosphere that had installed itself inside of the room.
"Wretched Lord huh? So the one we saw during the duels was a false? Or have you just taken his title?" when the king spoke, the advisors fell silent and the guards grew still, his voice reverberating throughout the room enough to ease their fears in an instant.
"It was simply an extension of me, I hope you don't mind that" Axio simply answered, his arms crossed.
Him and the king stared at each other for a few seconds, the silence deafening to anyone else.
"So you wish to become the monster king?" this was what Roderman said next, it seemed like him and Axiolypito understood where they were both going without having to actually exchange much words.
"Something like that"
"..." the rest of the people present held their breaths without knowing why.
Axiolypito had to admit that something had changed fundamentally about Roderman, he had been a strong man but he was more of a heavyhitter without outstanding speed, which was why Axio had come here with his actual body rather than using an offspring as a medium.
He had done so with Sir Solitar because he knew that even if he had gotten a bit faster since last time, thanks to the little evolutions he went through, he realised that Solitar would still be able to dice him up exactly like before.
Roderman on the other hand, although Axio wasn't the greatest at gauging people's strength, he felt like the king could hit much harder than Solitar ever could, but it didn't matter to him because he would never be hit by him.
He still believed that to be the case but he couldn't shake off the bizarre aura the king had now.
It was like, a tranquil, light blue glow was all around him, one that exerted great power, only waiting to be unleashed.
It was similar and yet, very different from the silver energy with streaks of dull gold he was known to use.
He didn't know nor understand what it was about but he was pleased with it, Roderman had already been a powerful pawn in Axio's mind before, but his value had now increased without him having anything to do.
"I have already contacted a powerful man that goes by 'Solitar' and he has agreed to lend his help, I only need your word so that we may start working together on well structured plan" he lied as naturally as he breathed, though he was certain the swordsman would agree to his proposal, there was no harm in a little lie.
Roderman clearly had a strong reaction to the mention of Solitar.
'Do they know each other? Hold on...' Axiolypito didn't know of the nameless troop and such, so he had no clue that they shared a friendly relationship.
But piecing together a few bits of information, it seemed obvious that they did know one another.
Axio had spent much time observing and spying in this castle back then, so he knew what Roderst's emblem was by heart.
And he remembered seeing this emblem on the white and golden robe of some mage that was with Sir Solitar.
He didn't know who Blouvier was or even her name, but he could tell that she had that air of importance around her.
Not believing that it could a coincidence, Axio came to the conclusion that the two men did know one another and quite well judging by Roderman's reaction and what he had just pieced together.
"You should know more than anyone how much his support means" he quickly webbed a sentence up from his realisation to give off the impression that he knew everything beforehand.
This wasn't needed, Roderman stood from his throne, his imposing figure casting a shadow on Axio.
In fact, mentioning Sir Solitar had been unnecessary as well, Roderman truly had no other hope of rising up against the Obsidian Queen and he couldn't just decline and hope that another opportunity would appear before him.
'This monster was able to appear in my throne room without displacing any air and without being noticed, he isn't just any monster with big ambitions, if he truly is Wretched Lord, then we would have an 'ally' at the heart of the monster army' Roderman smiled a little bit, he also noticed that the monster supposed to keep watch over his actions had seemingly gone inactive.
'This the perfect opportunity, I can't ask for anything better' he leaned forward and extended his hand toward Axiolypito.
Axio awkwardly reached for the king's huge hand, which was big enough to easily grab him by the head.
He didn't even know how a handshake was supposed to go, so Roderman just shook his limp hand.
"Happy to be working with you Axiolypito, King Of Monsters"
