"What a slippery bastard..." cursed Cinla under her breath, the little murderer seemed to wait for them to see him at street corners, like he wanted to be followed.
She was certain that a few of her light rays had hit him, Lolianth was able to smell his blood on him after all but the longer it went, the least the scent trail was clear as he moved around at terrible speed and seemed to be spreading his own blood wherever he went.
"Feuman! Can you still sense him?" asked Lolianth as all three of them were now standing on top of house, the wretched criminal having seemingly finally decided to book it for real as the sun was rising.
Still, they kept on trying to track him down, he had been running for a while, perhaps he would need to take a break or just stop for some other reason but that only led them to the disemboweled corpse of a cat, which the run away had used to smear himself with another smell.
Axiolypito was already far, standing outside of the city, far away on the same hill he had first looked over the city from, sitting down as if was going to have picnic.
Licking his hands and face to get rid of the blood, he waited until the approximate time the guild was supposed to collapse.
Displeasingly enough, the actual fall wasn't set exactly as the wretch had predicted but closely enough, only a bit later.
He heard none of it, but the sound of gnawed off pillars breaking and scraping as they slid down sounded loudly, loads of people heard it but none were able to immediately understand what was happening.
The guild started sliding down as expected crashing right onto the street market, rendering many people from one state to the other, from solid to liquid.
Axio snapped his fingers, willing the spawners and the remaining termites to disappear, there was no need to make any movements but it made the process seem more elaborate.
The wave of kills he was responsible for waved over him, lots suddenly hitting him, sending him into such joy that he forgot to closed his mouth and started drooling.
A few more deaths occurred a bit after the initial collapse, some survivors that were still wounded heavily.
The sudden influx of experience, allowed the wretch to notice something strange, his skin seemed to bubble for a moment, his blood sizzles and his bones itched, he noticed his claws coming out on their own and retracting.
It suddenly stopped and a little bit of knowledge seeped into his brain.
Willing for claws and teeth to come out, he was able to confirm that he had indeed gained a new type for each, serrated claws and teeth.
'That's weird, I thought this was supposed to come when I evolved?' he wondered, as unusual as what happened may be, it didn't feel like evolution.
'No matter, no need to beat my head against the ground to figure it out, I just got something as if I had evolved after getting a bunch of XP... Shouldn't have that amount been enough to evolve anyways?' he stretched his limbs, it seemed like he was also more flexible than before, but the strengthening of abilities when gaining experience wasn't new.
He glanced toward the city one last time before turning away, he had no more business here, he much prefered small villages anyways.
He turned to face a large meadow with many hills, walking into it without a single thought as more experience flowed into him from time to time.
After walking for an hour, he neared a forest when all of the trees within sight suddenly lost their leaves and branches, all of them falling to ground in an instant.
The wretch raised a brow and looked over his shoulder.
He made an annoyed expression, which wasn't a typical reaction when one was looking at what was standing behind him.
Some sort of grey humanoid, over three meter tall and nearly as thin as a stick, even with the tremendous height difference, the wretch appeared to weight more than it.
It had no facial feature, or so it appeared, it seemed like it did have a mouth but that it was locked behind its own skin.
It had no hands or feet either, its limbs ending with approximate spike shapes.
"Is the tree-thing whenever you show up or was that on purpose?" he asked casually, he could feel it, that this monster was also one that had encountered the Obsidian Queen.
It seemed like the Queen Of Monsters had left something on both of them, which was something the wretch only realised now that he had another in front of him.
'You must be the Wretched Lord, I am another of her excellency's minister, the Faceless Lord, she requires your presence alongside that of the others' whispered the lanky monster directly inside of Axiolypito's head.
"Is it really necessary? I kinda don't want to see her, you know, I sort of deny her authority and all, it won't be pleasant for anyone involved" argued the wretch but the Faceless Lord wasn't showing any reaction.
'Let us go' only responded the lanky minister and for a second, it felt like everything around them twisted before they were in a completely different place.
A dark cave, at the end of it, a huge mass of dark material twisting around and a few monsters just standing around.
Seven monsters standing in front of the Obsidian Queen.
Axiolypito, the Wretched Lord, he didn't comment on either but they did sound pretty good, he was the Fourth Minister.
The Faceless Lord, who wasn't wearing any clothes now that wretch thought about it, he was the Fifth Minister.
The Sovereign Of Flesh, a big lump of meat shaped like a pumpkin, she was the Third Minister.
The Scourge, a weird thing that the wretch could swear was both there and not there, visible yet invisible, its appearance impossible to pin down, it was the Seventh Minister.
The Condemned, a dragon with dark red scales and whose wings appeared to have been ripped off a while ago, he also had a sort of beard made of what appeared like tentacles, he was the Sixth Minister.
The Undying Prophet, an orc that didn't appear to have much going on about him, he was the Second Minister.
The Cradled Lich, a lich as the name implied garbed in robes that completely covered her bare bones, she was the First Minister.
Each of them was standing silently in front of the Obsidian Queen, whose sheer size dwarfed even the gigantic dragon.
"Do we not even get chairs and a table? What are we? A bunch of savages?" complained the wrech, earning a look from everyone, even from those that did not have eyes that is.
