บท 7: Confession

Hearing those words, I was stunned as here I thought that she already lost her feelings toward me. Seeing her like this, it seems like her love for me had never changed…

Kather doesn't utter the word love but what else could that mean, I am not that stupid to be able to realize what those words mean.

So all of this time, she trained for my sake? I am aware that I am weaker than her and even when we are still children. Kather was there to protect me whenever there was danger around me.

I know that it's weird for me to get protected by a girl as I am a man and I should be able to protect myself on my own.

But yeah, I am weak… I could protect myself but if the danger was something out of my level, then I wouldn't be able to do anything.

"Kather? Do you still love me and the reason you return here was due to that promise we made 10 years ago?" I said that to her.

"Of course, I remember that promise, you idiot… I wouldn't forget about that and my feelings for you are real and it's not just a childhood crush. I do love you Ceonre, even now I still love you." Kather said that as she blushed for a bit.

Here I am, the first time someone has said that to me. Well not really the first time but I feel like this more genuine confession someone ever told me.

But I need to give her the answer… I could just go with this moment and say yes but that would be a horrible thing to do. So I should at least answer it with honesty, with my true feelings towards Kather.

"I did promise you right… So here is my answer to that," I take Kather's hands and hold it firmly as I said my answer, "I do love you Kather, I wish to tell you that earlier but I was so afraid and missed that chance when you finally moved out from here… Now that you-"

Kather's gentle lips suddenly were on mine, she kissed me. I do think about kissing her first but she takes the initiative to do that.

My heart beats like the drums when she does all of this…

Kather's fingers traced my jawline in a way that was so familiar, yet felt so foreign at the same time. Her lips were soft against mine and this was the first time I had ever kissed a girl.

The ways she feels against my hands when I hold them. It takes all my self-control to not do anything more than a kiss while we are still in the public.

I don't want this to end at all…

Kather said, smiling, holding my hand. "It surprised you right? But now that we do that… you are mine and so is I as I belong to you right now."

I never expected that I would be someone's boyfriend. Does the term boyfriend exist in this world? I do not think I heard that being used here in this world.

Probably the most common I heard is just the term fiance in this world that is…

But still who has thought that someone would ever want to get with me. Especially when she is also the one that has been my childhood friend and my closest friend back then. It was strange for me to be having this kind of relationship but at least the both of us love each other.

"So would you stop hitting me already since I am someone you love, because if you continue to do-" My talk was interrupted as Kather did hit me anyway, "Ouch! That hurt…"

"No, I wouldn't stop that as you should realize already why I do that… if not you are dumb, Ceonre." Kather said that.

I smile, "I know, that was your way of expressing love to me right?"

"So you did know but since you are weak and fragile… I would stop as I do not wish to see the man I love die early due to that." Kather giggled as she was trying to lean toward me. "In exchange for that, I would do this-"

Is Kather trying to kiss me again?

"Ceonre! There you are, I search everywhere for you-" Jack paused for a bit as he noticed something, "Why are you blushing and who is this girl?"

Jack was this close to discovering what we are doing here… our lips were grazing each other until he called out my name as we quickly returned to our normal position.

Well, it's not like what we are doing is something bad. We are in a relationship after all so it's normal for us to kiss but the both of us couldn't do that in front of other people. It's awkward… super awkward!

"Um… she is- Well she is you know.."

The words that come out of my mouth were a mess as I am trying my best to keep my composure here. The same could be said of Kather, she doesn't say anything but she's clearly blushing though… her face is, even more, redder than mine.

Jack looked at me very intensely, "Could it be that something happened between the both of you? Am I interrupting something here?"

Jack is usually stupid in this kind of stuff and would be late to figure it out. But why today does he happen to be sharp and his perception seems to be in the max stats today.

"Nothing is happening here… it's just that I was surprised to see her here. You should know who this girl is but unless you forget, she's Kather Bastion." I said that trying to change the topic here.

"Kather Bastion? You mean she's the same girl who his father had trained us before while we were still children… is that really her?" Jack said that as he was a bit surprised.
