“I’ll be right back.” I gave Lycia a small smile and kissed her hand as she nodded. Then I headed up to the cockpit. “So, where are we going?”

“We have a full tank, so I thought we’d go to Hawaii. Then you can decide where you’d like to go from there. We’re only four and a half hours away.” Lorenzo looked over his shoulder, concern filling his eyes. “Are you two okay?”

I glanced over at Lorenzo. His brows were furrowed beneath his flight cap, and concern filled his eyes. “We are now. Thanks, Lorenzo. Please let us know when we land.”

“No problem.” He turned his attention back to the controls. I glanced over at Lorenzo, his flight cap still on, but his brows were creased. Even though I knew he meant well, he also knew not to ask too many questions. In my line of work, asking too many questions could get you killed.

“Evelyn, do we have any sparkling grape juice?”
