บท 32: Chapter 32: Obedience

I stayed next to Eyran as we moved through the courtroom, lining up shoulder to shoulder while the servants cleared the room again.

“Why would a vampire be here?” I asked, leaning down into Eyran’s ear.

Eyran leaned out, catching a glimpse of who I was talking about, then he turned back to me with a grimace. “That is Antony.”

“He broke Vampiric Law and lost his title. He has been serving as a blood slave for the past year,” Eyran whispered. “He was feeding royals blood slaves without permission.”

My eyes grew wide, and I tried my best to keep a straight face as I took another glance.

“Like the King’s personal servants?” I asked.

“Yeah,” whispered Eyran, “right under his nose. He would have been executed normally, but I heard the King had a soft spot for him.”

“So, what would happen if someone fed on one of the Prince’s blood slaves?” I asked.

“Without his permission?” asked Eyran, “not good, but from what I’ve heard, the Prince doesn’t have any blood slaves.”
