So, one can say that Eric is very young compared to an elemental mage's standard. Now one might wonder why does Eric, even though he is young, look so fat, ugly, and old before transformation? It looked as if he became young due to using his ability and his real appearance is that of a fat and ugly old man. But the reality is not like this. Eric's real appearance is the one he got after the transformation. Actually, in this world, due to a special substance in the air, mortals look quite young even in their mid-fifties, let alone elemental mages who almost have twice the lifespan compared to a mortal as soon as he becomes an elemental mage. Actually, determining someone's age by looking at their physical appearance in this world is very hard. Sometimes it may happen that a mother, daughter, and granddaughter may look like three sisters by looks, and this is especially true for the families of elemental mages.
