(Author's notes: This is it, ladies and gentlemen. Let's see how well Steel Butterfly, Bunnyx, Ladybug and Cat Noir will make themselves below suspicion to ensure the first and final step of defeating Scarlet Moth on Heroes' Day comes to fruition.
Also, in a second bonus scene, Miguel will be revealing lots of important pieces of the future in no specific order, including the Battle of the Scarlet Army. Nathalie becoming Mayura despite knowing that the Peacock Miraculous is damaged. Lila's threat in Chameleon. Adrien successfully persuading Marinette to take the high road with Lila's lies all thanks to – in Miguel's own words – Thomas Motherf****** D****** Ass-truck. Andre Glacier's narrow-minded views on love and soulmates. Marinette's second averted Akumatization into Unmasker. The love square being reversed with Ladybug pining for Cat Noir and Adrien pining for Marinette. Kagami Tsurugi befriending Lila just because of not only Marinette and Adrien being too busy saving the world, but also because of the both of them never taking the liberty to warn Kagami and others like her about Lila, a la the stupid high road. Tomoe being Akumatized one more time, this time into Matagi Gozen. Tomoe being revealed to be the one giving permission for Gabriel to Akumatize Kagami, with one exception. Marinette and Adrien as themselves and as Ladybug and Cat Noir meeting the fictionalized Thomas Astruc. Marinette meeting her extreme traditionalist grandfather. Chloe's betrayal in the season 3 finale and it sticks thanks to the Thomas Astruc of Miguel's Earth. Grandmaster Su-Han's arrival. Gabriel becoming Shadow Moth in season 4. Gabriel's actions in New York City. Lila Rossi attempting to get Marinette expelled from school, thereby nearly succeeding in getting Marinette Akumatized in a second Scarlet Akumatization that was interrupted because of Nathalie's illness from using the Peacock Miraculous. Felix Fathom's antics during his mission to recover the Graham de Vanily Twin Rings for his mother. Gabriel Akumatizing Adrien in another timeline into Ephemeral instead of Cat Blanc. Gabriel accessing his next-to-final form as Shadow Noir and nearly succeeding in reviving Emilie Agreste if not for Sass using Second Chance without being merged with the Snake Miraculous. Chloe forming an alliance with Lila at the end of Penalteam. Shadow Moth using Risk to make even Ladybug and Cat Noir take risks. Adrien's fake world tour as a result of his father trying to get Adrien away from the Strikeback attack. Felix Fathom impersonating Adrien to help him defy his father while taking into account Gabriel asserting control. Telling everyone about the theory that Adrien and Felix are Sentimonsters invented by Emilie Agreste just because she and her sister were born infertile, the theory in question taking years before one of the directors gave a straight answer on whether or not the theory was true. Ladybug taking a huge risk by unifying the Ladybug, Horse and Rabbit Miraculouses to convince "Adrien" to stay in Paris and give him the Dog Miraculous. Felix's betrayal in Strikeback as a result of being able to perfectly imitate Adrien to the point of being able to fool even Ladybug and while being able to use the Dog Miraculous extremely well. Shadow Moth renouncing the Peacock Miraculous over to Felix in exchange for every Miraculous jewel in the Miracle Box. Felix initially going with Nathalie and Lila on Adrien's fake world tour before Pennybug altered time. Gabriel accessing his final form as Monarch. Gabriel attempting to alter history but not in the way Nathalie told him to, complete with his impatience and greed resulting in him losing the Rabbit Miraculous and Nathalie quitting her job. Alix becoming Bunnyx in the season 5 premiere at precisely the same time Ladybug and Cat Noir fight Monarch for the first time. How useless Adult Bunnyx was in the first fight with Monarch. How Rabbit Noir came very close to discovering the Cat Blanc timeline but he didn't whatsoever just because of and all thanks to Thomas Astruc and his team being f****** lazy YET AGAIN. Tomoe Tsurugi being revealed to be another ally of Monarch. Bunnyx revealing her identity to her father by sending him postcards from the future to ensure that her past and her future in terms of her learning her future self's identity and her past self receiving the Rabbit Miraculous in the season 5 premiere episode all happen in chronological order. All without Ladybug's knowledge or permission. Alim Kubdel revealing to Ms. Bustier's class Bunnyx's identity and how she'll only return to the current timeline when Monarch is finally and permanently defeated. Monarch destroying the Fox, Bee, Turtle, Dragon, Snake, Mouse, Tiger, Pig, Horse, Monkey, Ox, Rooster, Goat, and Dog Miraculouses before turning them into his completed main Alliance Rings. Amelie Graham de Vanily lying to Ladybug and Cat Noir about Felix's whereabouts just because she thinks that they both think Felix is a villain, only to fail to notice that her naivety and love for her son will only result in the both of them being arrested, sentenced to prison, and having their royal ranking being permanently taken away by the Queen of England, as occurred in a 2022 Miraculous Ladybug fanfiction from Steel Butterfly's Earth. Kagami befriending Lila thanks to Marinette and Adrien's inactions with Lila and being far too busy saving the world. Zoe Lee's backstory before and after Miracle Queen. Zoe becoming Vesperia. Zoe becoming Kitty Noire along with Alya becoming Scarabella during the Transmission incident while unknowingly having their identities exposed to Monarch thanks to their own Alliance Rings connected to Monarch's main Alliance Rings being programmed to detect movement from anyone, including anyone who happens to be a rookie or veteran Miraculous user. Miguel explaining how the Alliance Rings work. Gabriel Agreste's real name. Lila's final Akumatization into Hoaxer as a new Volpina. Hoaxer making everyone think Marinette was Monarch. The after effects of that day happening to include Adrien finally realizing although too late thanks to Thomas Astruc the true colors of Chloe Bourgeois and Lila Rossi. Gabriel's backstory. Lila severing ties with Gabriel to further emphasize her future as the second Hawk Moth. Felix's actions as Argos with the power of the Peacock Miraculous. Gabriel's attempts to break up Marinette and Adrien so that Adrien can be paired with Kagami thanks to a deal made between Gabriel and Kagami's mother Tomoe, with one of the attempts including Gabriel Akumatizing Kagami one last time into Riposte Prime, with the power of the Turtle Miraculous at her disposal. The Akuma Class, Ms. Bustier, and Mr. Damocles being further enthralled by Lila's lies. Lila's alternate identities and multiple families all formed from her lies. Lila's attempts to prevent her three mothers from meeting or discovering the truth. Miguel's worry about Lila's families becoming targets the moment Lila becomes Hawk Moth II. Darker Owl revealing Ladybug and Cat Noir's interconnected dream to the twosome. Gabriel planning to send Adrien to London when the school year is over. The recorded messages left by Emilie Agreste pleading to Gabriel to stop his quest for the Miraculouses, only for Gabriel to blow them off and order Nathalie to delete them, never suspecting Nathalie secretly kept them so discreetly that Rorschach and Batman would be impressed. Kim becoming Darker Cupid with the added power of the Monkey Miraculous just because he had fallen in love with Marinette a second time, the first time being in elementary school. And of course, the fact that Miraculous Ladybug had a season 8, a season 9, a season 10, a season 11, and a season 12 thanks to the other Miraculous Ladybug directors confirming it in 2022 and thanks to Thomas Astruc keeping his word about more seasons being made depending on the show's popularity with the viewers.
(Quantic Universe Earth 139, Paris, France, May 21st, 2015, third person POV...)
In the recap in Steel Butterfly's lair, the butterfly hero says, "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the first ever recap of recent events. Now, in the last episode of Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug, Cat Noir and Steel Butterfly, we met Lila Rossi, also known as Volpina, also known as Chameleon, also known as Hoaxer, and also known as the Hawk Moth of the future. Believe me; it was all too easy to pummel Volpina into guacamole without accidentally killing her just yet, so to speak. Anyway, I'm panicking a bit because when Marinette, Adrien and Alix meet Master Fu, he and I have to reveal the truth about me and my initial crew. That we're secretly from another universe in which Ladybug, Cat Noir and the people in their lives are fictional from the cartoon, Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir. But anyway, I hope that no bloodshed will be had when Ladybug, Cat Noir and Bunnyx learn the truth. And as we sink closer to the present day, I've come up with plans to make me and Adrien far below Gabriel's suspicions of who stole the Miraculous spellbook and the Peacock Miraculous that rightfully belongs to Master Fu and the Order of the Guardians. Hopefully, Gabriel Agreste will fall for them because despite his strategic brilliance, if you make the right plans no matter how complicated and you have the right plans, the right strategy and the right people, Gabriel will fall for them because he's as idiotic as he looks no matter how smart he is. Find out how my plans will succeed in the new episode, The Collector. See ya."
In Master Fu's massage shop, the Great Guardian is meditating with Wayzz beside him.
Suddenly, Master Fu smiles, causing Wayzz to ask, "Master, are you all right?"
Master Fu replies, "He's here with the three of them, just as he told us."
Wayzz flies off and hides inside of the phonograph just as Miguel knocks on the door.
Miguel, Adrien, Alix and Marinette emerge from the door with their kwamis.
Master Fu remarks, "Hello, Ladybug, Cat Noir, Bunnyx and Steel Butterfly."
Miguel replies, "I told you now was the time to introduce them to you. Besides, you must see what Adrien and I have stolen from under Hawk Moth's nose without anyone so much as batting an eye."
Miguel takes the Miraculous spellbook and the damaged Peacock Miraculous from his duffel bag.
Marinette says in recognition, "Wait a minute. I remember you! You were that old man I helped cross the street on my first day of school last year!"
Adrien adds, "And I met you after you had stumbled when I was trying to go to the school and I paid the price for helping you by being returned home by my father's assistant and my bodyguard!"
Master Fu replies, "Yes, and I'm sorry for that, Adrien. But neither of those were chance meetings either. Marinette, you're always ready to help others. Alix, you were always willing to face challenges head-on even though I only know so much because we have just met and because Miguel speaks so highly of you. And Adrien, your kindness and compassion has a tendency to transform the lives around you. I knew on that very day, at that very moment, that Marinette and Adrien would make fantastic users of the Ladybug and the Black Cat Miraculouses. On the other hand, Miguel and I knew that you, Alix, would make an exceptional guardian of the multiverse's various timelines, including our current timeline."
Marinette asks, "But, who are you exactly?"
Master Fu stands up and guides Marinette, Adrien and Alix to the phonograph, where he uses the access code to unlock the Miracle Box.
Master Fu takes out the Miracle Box and Tikki answers for him, "Master Fu is the last known remaining member of the Order of the Guardians. They are special Guardians of the Miraculouses."
Wayzz comes out and adds, "They've been guarding the Miraculouses for five thousand years since the jewels were first invented. I'm Wayzz, Master Fu's kwami. It's a pleasure to meet the three of you at last."
Marinette replies, "Uh, you too! Heh heh."
Adrien adds, "Nice to meet you as well, Wayzz."
Alix finishes, "The feeling's mutual, Wayzz."
Master Fu explains, "We guardians are responsible for protecting the Miraculouses from anyone who would wish to abuse their powers and we guardians are also responsible for distributing them to worthy champions to protect the world in times of war and in times of every other type and category of apocalyptic dangers, for the greater good of all humanity. We are chosen in our childhoods and we are trained for many years, especially for this mission. At the same time, however, once we start becoming Guardians, by magical forces, we acquire longer life spans than of the average human being as a form of supernatural and magical longevity. When the Guardians and I were much younger back in the year 1844, I made a mistake during my training. The guardians' temple in Tibet was destroyed, all because of me! The rest of the Guardians are dead. Two of the Miraculouses were lost that day, the original Butterfly that is often called the Moth Miraculous, and the Peacock Miraculous. Also gone forever was the ancient spellbook!"
Miguel answers, "Well, thankfully, we found them, but for some reason, the Peacock Miraculous is damaged."
Master Fu takes the Peacock Miraculous delicately and says, "I'm afraid we cannot use it. A damaged Miraculous is far too dangerous and deadly to use, even for adult human beings who would become adult Miraculous users able to use their powers as many times as they wish."
Miguel adds, "I know that, and Marinette and Adrien were already informed during the Horrificator incident. But thankfully, no one else knew about it."
Miguel has a flashback of himself as Steel Butterfly sprinkling amnesia dust onto Marinette, Adrien and Alix's classmates to wipe their memories of the dangers of using a damaged Miraculous jewel. This was mainly to prevent any of the students from snitching to Hawk Moth just in case they either got Akumatized again or if they get Akumatized for the first time.
Miguel finishes, "And sadly, it turns out that Adrien's father, Gabriel Agreste, is Hawk Moth."
Master Fu and Wayzz looked at Miguel in surprise.
Master Fu asks, "Why didn't you tell us this when we first recruited you fifteen years ago?"
Miguel answers, "It was the wrong time and place. Attempting to change the timeline in any way, especially including preventing Gabriel from becoming Hawk Moth, could easily have reality-ending consequences. And besides, if we had taken back the Butterfly Miraculous, the Peacock Miraculous, and the main spellbook way back then, we'd never be able to send Gabriel to prison."
Plagg adds, "I hate to say this, guys, but Miguel's right."
Master Fu sighs before admitting, "You... have a good point."
Miguel continues saying, "I'm well aware that I should've told you, but I had to adhere to the rules of time travel and interdimensional travel."
Alix asks, "Whoa, whoa, whoa! Back up. What do you mean by that, Butterfly Man?"
Miguel looks at his friends with a sad expression as he answers, "That's something that I wanted to tell you guys about when the time was right."
Master Fu explains, "Miguel is not really from this Earth. On his Earth, our world is a fictional television series made by a real life counterpart of the famous movie director Thomas Astruc."
Marinette replies, "Hey, I remember Miguel telling me and Adrien something similar to that when he first warned us about Lila Rossi after Valentine's Day. (She turns to Miguel.) Why didn't you tell us about this?"
Miguel answers, "I didn't tell any of you because Master Fu ordered me not to. It was the wrong time and place for you guys to know about my true origins. We had to take oaths of silence to prevent any of you guys from interrogating me about the future because of the fact that my foreknowledge is not exactly a walk in the park. Too much knowledge of the future being revealed to more than a bare minimum of one person is not exactly prudent. And at the same time, we discovered something truly bad. And it was this: we also had to take oaths of silence because if either of you had found out during an Akuma attack and the Akumatized victim heard everything, Hawk Moth would've also found out since he has the ability to see and hear everything that his victims can see and hear. Because of this, if Hawk Moth ever found out about my foreknowledge, he would've tried breaching the barriers of our respective dimensions to recruit my family and my remaining friends to his cause simply to break me down enough to Akumatize me just so he could add the power of my Miraculous to his own in his quest to revive Mrs. Agreste, in addition to finding a way to abuse my foreknowledge to ensure that the dark futures caused by his many Akumatized victims would come to fruition, with a lot of exceptions. And trust me, it would've caused a LOT of complete disasters."
Marinette, Adrien and Alix looked on at their leader with small expressions of betrayal.
Then, Marinette says, "But how is the spellbook invaluable? All it has is drawings of old superheroes and a bunch of strange symbols!"
Master Fu replies, "Not strange to a Guardian."
Alix then asks, "You guys mean to say that, as Miguel and our kwamis surmised, the book is written in a secret code invented by the Order of the Guardians?"
Miguel and Master Fu reply in unison, "Yes." "Yes, of course."
Pushing the shock aside, Master Fu explains, "Back in the days, I was never given the opportunity to even have a look at it. But I've been taught enough to be able to partially decipher the codes. And with Miguel's nearly godlike superhuman intelligence, he was able to teach me how to fully decipher all of the codes."
Miguel happily and carefully hands the spellbook to Master Fu.
Master Fu states, "These pages contain various spells capable of giving you four special abilities we haven't even known about or been told about, until now, that is! Obviously, that is why this book is invaluable. And with Miguel's foreknowledge, we might have a chance in our fight against Hawk Moth, his assistant and Lila Rossi should she choose to return."
In the Agreste Mansion, Nathalie shows Gabriel the gap in the security footage.
Nathalie says emotionlessly, "Sir, I checked it six times. Absolutely nothing. Whoever did this was smart enough to deactivate the cameras on a specific timer and erase any secret footage in our other cameras, in addition to covering up their tracks in other ways that only the most intelligent mastermind from comic books would actually be able to do without anyone being the wiser."
Gabriel growls as he replies before saying in a calmer tone, "This is a total disaster! My identity is at risk of being blown at any minute! But at least I know Adrien is safe in his room and I literally cannot thank the stars enough to know that Adrien is free from the suspect list. Especially since he told me himself that he had no intentions of taking either of the items from my safe, even if he didn't know about them at all. I just hope Adrien can continue doing the right thing for our family and for my fashion brand."
Nathalie replies, "I agree wholeheartedly, sir."
Back in Master Fu's massage parlor, Master Fu is reading the pages of the Miraculous spellbook.
All the while, Tikki is chasing Wayzz through the air in circles around the main room.
And of course, Plagg and Fluff were having a tickle fight, with the black cat kwami winning.
Master Fu states, "I've always believed that whoever had the spellbook in their possession would also have the Peacock Miraculous and the Moth Miraculous. And with our knowledge of Hawk Moth's identity clear to us, we might have a chance."
Alix asks exasperatedly, "Okay, is it really necessary to call the other Butterfly Miraculous the Moth Miraculous?"
Miguel answers, "The other one was initially called the Moth Miraculous before it was going to be called the Butterfly Miraculous, and when my Butterfly Miraculous came to be, it was decided that the other one would be called by its original name just to avoid confusion altogether. Think about it, Alix. Think about how confusing it would be if both brooches were called the Butterfly Miraculous. There'd be confusion on which Butterfly Miraculous was more powerful and which one had Nooroo as the kwami desired by the heroic user."
Alix had a curious look on her face as she thought long and hard about the explanation.
After explaining to Master Fu about how the Peacock Miraculous and the spellbook were discovered, Miguel also took the liberty to explain how Gabriel and Emilie Agreste came to possess the spellbook and the Moth and Peacock Miraculouses, how Emilie Agreste went comatose after having used the Peacock Miraculous too much while it was still damaged, how Gabriel became Hawk Moth to revive his wife for himself instead of moving on like a man, how Gabriel started to suspect Adrien's identity as Cat Noir after the Simon Says incident despite the team utilizing perfected clones, Sentimonsters and timeline duplicates to lead Gabriel astray in the event he turned out to be Hawk Moth without Miguel there to help comfort Adrien upon finding out the truth in person without his father knowing, and how low Gabriel was gonna go in the years to come if he wasn't stopped sooner.
Master Fu remarks somberly, "To think there was three Miraculouses and the only spellbook in that mansion with a grieving man who doesn't know the meaning of moving on and who doesn't know how to not take his relationship with his only son for granted. And to think that Mr. Agreste was starting to become suspicious of Adrien's dual identity. This is something we didn't count on, no matter how much Miguel and I came prepared."
Miguel assures Adrien, "But don't worry, Adrien. You're gonna keep the Black Cat Miraculous. But the problem is, since your father is a strategic genius like the majority of us, we'll need to find someway to outsmart him. With the nearly godlike superhuman intelligence I have with and without my Butterfly Miraculous, we've got a chance. Since we know your father's only powers are the ones he received information about from Nooroo, this means that for a year and for the time being, Gabriel has not acquired any more powers and not a single upgrade to his primary or secondary powers. And as far as Master Fu and I have just noticed right now, what we're being given is a rare opportunity to have secret data about Gabriel's motives and activities from behind closed doors. But the moment something goes wrong, its game over as it happens to be extremely hazardous and perilous."
Alix asks, "Hold on. Are you saying that you want Adrien to put his father on secret surveillance, Miguel?"
Plagg interjects, "It's certainly not gonna be the final time I've had to help my owners deal with criminal relatives. Especially magic-abusing terrorist relatives."
Miguel answers, "Well, on the one hand, I do want Adrien to spy on his own father, so to speak. But on the other hand, I also don't think it's a good idea because of the fact that Nathalie and Gabriel are known to be respectively observant and paranoid. Nathalie in particular always knows that something's not right at the slightest first sign. The moment she sees the first sign that something's not right, i.e., Adrien becoming colder in terms of mannerisms and the way he talks to people around him aside from his own father, Nathalie will undoubtedly immediately suspect something's up, she'll snitch to her boss and then, the next thing you know is the whole operation is a bust. Gabriel in particular is known to be as paranoid as Batman himself. Gabriel's mansion has a security gate with a doorbell camera, a lot of security cameras, reinforced bulletproof metal shutters for the windows and outer walls of the mansion, taser gun sentries, emergency power, missile launchers in his lair, backdoor entrances and secret emergency exits, laser beam sentries that can fire intense laser beams that can burn holes in human skin, an instant alarm to the nearest police station, and in case of a flood or a tsunami, the mansion has water-tight security as well. But anyway, the moment Gabriel finds out Adrien is in league with the Heroes of Paris or discovers Adrien's dual identity, Gabriel will not hesitate to pull Adrien out of school, take his Miraculous away, put cameras in Adrien's bedroom to keep a closer eye on him, lock down the windows to his bedroom just in case Adrien tries to escape and to prevent any hero from sneaking in through his bedroom windows, and Akumatize him to recruit his own son to his cause."
Leppey replies, "Yes, but it may be our best option for now, Miguel."
Miguel vented before relaxing himself.
At Francoise Dupont, Chloe has informed everyone that there was a mysterious burglary at the Agreste Mansion and Gabriel was keeping Adrien home for the time being to protect him.
Chloe states, "I don't know how this came to be, but I do know that I can place my partial faith in Mr. Agreste to keep our sunshine friend safe."
In Gabriel's atelier, Gabriel is looking at the painting of his wife with Nathalie standing behind him.
Nathalie asks, "Sir, what will you do without the book?"
Gabriel opens a blank notebook and then closes it before handing it to Nathalie.
Gabriel replies, "You know where this goes."
Gabriel storms around while Nathalie struts towards the painting to put the notebook inside the safe.
Gabriel grabs a picture of Adrien off the wall and throws it onto the floor, followed by a second photo of Adrien.
Gabriel walks over to a small shelf in a cupboard, and he briefly looks at a drawing Adrien made when he was younger before throwing it onto the floor too.
Gabriel then proceeds to smash other objects to pieces.
In Adrien's bedroom, Adrien's clone is transmitting the whole thing to the real Adrien and to the others at the massage parlor, thankful that Adrien's secret access to the security cameras hasn't been noticed yet because the real Adrien rarely uses it for fear of his access being traced.
Adrien's clone is playing the piano to divert suspicions while Plagg whispers from the other side of the untraceable commlink, "On the bigger bright side, he didn't find out about me! Even if the security footage wasn't erased, it's a good thing that we kwamis can't be filmed or photographed whatsoever, in addition to being unheard in phone calls or seen on Face Time."
Miguel points out, "Yeah, but the rules don't apply if such technology is of magical origin, like the butterfly-camera themed Sentimonster Optigami that Mayura makes after the Battle of the Miraculouses incident to spy on the auxiliary heroes."
Plagg replies, "Ohhh. I see. Well, either way, such a shame that the greatest photographers of the world don't know what they're missing."
Everyone in the massage parlor sees Gabriel throwing a mannequin to the floor, breaking it in two in anger and displeasure.
He proceeds to break another mannequin before moving onto something else.
Miguel says, "He's heading to his lair. Keep watching."
Everyone watches Gabriel in slow motion pressing six buttons on the painting in unison, granting him access to the elevator to Hawk Moth's lair.
In Hawk Moth's lair, Hawk Moth remarks, "I feel... the wrath of a father outraged by a burglary performed in broad daylight with no one being the wiser and with no trace of evidence leading to the perpetrator's identity. What perfect prey for my Akumas!"
A butterfly flies into Hawk Moth's open palm and he turns the butterfly into an Akuma.
Hawk Moth says, "Stay close, my little Akuma!"
The Akuma flies towards the window of Hawk Moth's lair, but the dark butterfly stops and hovers at the small opening.
Hawk Moth calls out, "Nooroo, Dark Wings Fall!"
Hawk Moth detransforms, revealing to everyone watching the secret security footage that Gabriel Agreste is indeed Hawk Moth.
Nooroo asks, "Uh, why is the Akuma still there?"
Gabriel takes off his tie, revealing the Moth Miraculous aka the original Butterfly Miraculous.
Gabriel replies ominously, "I must become someone else to lead every one of the heroes astray."
Nooroo replies back, "I don't understand, Master."
Gabriel removes the locket brooch and says, "Nooroo, I renounce you..."
Nooroo gets sucked into the original Butterfly Miraculous, turning it to its charged form.
Gabriel then puts the Miraculous in a small ring box.
Gabriel finishes, "...temporarily."
A spotlight in the lair shines onto his blank replacement notebook.
Gabriel walks over to the notebook and grabs it.
Then he opens it and says, "Come to me, my little Akuma, and Akumatize me!"
The Akuma flies into Gabriel's notebook, transforming him into his own Akumatized identity, The Collector.
Gabriel/The Collector remarks, "I am now... The Collector! My book of inspiration has been taken from me, so I shall build a new one for myself! And perhaps pick up a Miraculous or two while I'm at it! (He laughs maniacally in a different way than he does as Hawk Moth)"
Miguel states on one side of the internal commlink in the tablet, "Adrien clone, we have what we asked for. Get out of there before The Collector gets to you and make sure you cover up your tracks."
Adrien's clone turns off the real Adrien's security access, hides the tablet in a secret compartment underneath the real Adrien's bed, and teleports himself to Steel Butterfly's secondary lair where the generic troops – clones and temporal duplicates included – happen to be housed in.
Master Fu remarks, "Now that we know how Mr. Agreste can Akumatize himself, even I have a feeling that spying on him and collecting data of his motives and his crimes to make numerous amounts of evidence for his future trial is now a long-term plan."
Adrien somberly states, "Now, I have to fight my terrorist father as a willing Akuma."
Miguel comes up to Adrien and hugs him, much to everyone's surprise.
Adrien melts into the hug as Miguel says, "You're not alone, Adrien. You're surrounded by friends at Francoise Dupont, and you're surrounded by this family unit Master Fu and I helped to bring together. Don't be afraid to ask us for help. I know this isn't easy, but remember what I told you: everyone handles grief in different ways. Your father may not know of any alternatives to revive your mother, but I guarantee you, by the time of the Battle of the Scarlet Army, we will find a solution."
Adrien thanks his team leader before Master Fu and Miguel told the others their plan.
The plan is to keep the Collector busy while one of Steel Butterfly's clones creates a hyper-realistic illusion of the Peacock Miraculous and the spellbook to give to Gabriel without the illusions disappearing after being touched. Then, after Gabriel puts the fakes in his safe, the illusions will hold until the Syren incident – Miguel says he'll explain later – and by the time Nathalie tries to open the safe to retrieve the Peacock Miraculous to save her boss on Heroes' Day, she'll be electrocuted by a pair of stun bombs to replace the then-useless illusions.
With respective utterances of "Tikki, Spots On!" "Plagg, Claws Out!" "Leppey, Elegant Wings Live!" and "Fluff, Clockwise!" the four heroes set out to deakumatize Hawk Moth without giving anything away.
In the Agreste Mansion, Nathalie is guarding the door to Gabriel's atelier when suddenly, she gets knocked down by the Collector kicking the door open.
The Collector remarks, "Nathalie! You shall be the first of many of my newest inspirations to come starting today."
Nathalie inquires, "Mr. Agreste?"
The Collector replies, "You will call me... The Collector."
The Collector throws his sketchbook at Nathalie, who gets absorbed into the book.
The book travels back to the Collector's hand before he throws it at Gustavo.
Then, the Collector goes up to Adrien's bedroom door and knocks on it.
As the Collector knocks on the door, he says a bit sing-songy, "Adrien... I have a great collection that I want to show you."
The Collector kicks the door open and enters the bedroom.
However, he sees no one in the room and he notices that the piano music he heard earlier had actually been coming from a CD player perched on the piano.
The Collector angrily swipes up the CD player in his sketchbook and growls in frustration and anger.
At the Louvre, the unnamed mother of August/the future Gigantitan is taking a picture.
She says, "Cheese!"
However, everyone notices the Collector's sketchbook trap the Louvre pyramid and they start running around screaming in fear.
Inside the Louvre museum, the Collector traps the Mona Lisa painting in his book.
Outside, the Collector traps Jagged Stone and his crocodile Fang in his notebook while the rock star is playing a grand piano in front of an audience.
At the TVi studio, Nadia Chamack is just about to make a news report.
She starts to say, "Don't be bemused, it's just the news. I'm Nadia Chama—"
But she doesn't finish as she also gets absorbed into the Collector's sketchbook.
The Collector remarks, "Since the book that used to fill my life is gone, I'm going to use all of your lives to fill up this new one!"
He swipes his notebook at the camera filming him in the TVi studio.
At Hotel de Ville, Mayor Andre Bourgeois is about to deliver a heartfelt speech.
He starts to say, "People of Paris—"
But he doesn't finish as Lieutenant Raincomprix points at the Collector's incoming sketchbook and Mayor Bourgeois gets absorbed into it.
On the rooftops near the Eiffel Tower, the Collector throws his notebook at the famous Parisian monument and the book traps it inside a page.
The sketchbook returns to the Collector like a boomerang.
The Collector catches his book and remarks, "Nothing can truly inspire me more than imprisoning Steel Butterfly, Ladybug, Cat Noir and Bunnyx in these book pages forever!"
On the rooftop of Francoise Dupont High School, everyone is practicing their scripts since they know the Collector will be eavesdropping.
Cat Noir plays along as he asks, "So, who's the suspect?"
Steel Butterfly pretends to answer, "Gabriel Agreste."
Cat Noir gasps and almost trips after hearing the name of the suspect, even though they've already been practicing in frozen time.
Cat Noir pretends to inquire, "You got any evidence of this fact?"
Steel Butterfly pretends to reply, "I can't tell you."
Cat Noir pretends to quiz, "So, I'm supposed to just... accept that? Is that what you're telling me?"
Steel Butterfly pretends to acknowledge, "You must trust me on this, kitty cat. But believe it or not, it all makes sense. Gabriel Agreste is a very private man, has been ever since his wife's death, he's cold to everyone aside from just his own son, and he never leaves his mansion for anything. And get a load of this. (He shows Cat Noir images of Gabriel's fashion design symbols via ethereal holograms) Check out the symbol of his fashion brand."
Cat Noir somewhat pretends to act stunned as he asks, "A butterfly?!"
Cat Noir has temporary flashbacks of seeing the butterfly pattern on every piece of furniture in his house and on the doors, as well as butterfly symbols on his sneakers.
Cat Noir sighs after the flashbacks end.
Ladybug touches Cat Noir's shoulder armor and pretends to inquire, "Are you okay, Cat Noir?"
Cat Noir pretends to say with fake grim determination, "It's time to get to the bottom of this once and for all."
Ladybug, Cat Noir, Steel Butterfly and Bunnyx fly away from the school to investigate.
Unbeknownst to everyone except Steel Butterfly and Bunnyx, The Collector hides behind a statue of a golden angel and he remarks, "My plan is working perfectly!"
Steel Butterfly mentally retorts to himself, "It might've worked in the original cartoon, but lightning ain't gonna strike the same place twice."
Steel Butterfly whispers to his friends, "(Softly) You're all doing great, guys!"
Ladybug whispers back to her newly-revealed interdimensional leader from New York City on his Earth, "(Softly) Same with you!"
In Gabriel's atelier, Steel Butterfly, Bunnyx, Ladybug and Cat Noir a lot of pieces of broken furniture and ruined pictures when they come into the room to investigate.
Ladybug remarks in shock, "Whoa! What happened here? Looks like somebody had a little tantrum."
Steel Butterfly points out, "This is not a small tantrum; it's a big one that calls for expensive repairs for the broken property."
Cat Noir sees his drawing of himself and his family on the floor.
Cat Noir sighs in sadness and heartache.
Bunnyx asks, "Are you okay for real?"
Cat Noir answers, "I will be as soon as the Collector gets a proper beating."
The four heroes run towards the front hall until they see the Collector at the top of the main stairs.
Cat Noir plays along according to his script and demands, "Where's Gabriel Agreste?!"
The Collector retorts, "There is no more Gabriel Agreste! There is only The Collector!"
Briefly crossing his armored arms, Steel Butterfly states monotonously, "Not the most original supervillain name, but I'm not complaining one bit."
The Collector throws his sketchbook at Ladybug in an attempt to absorb her, but she manages to dodge the book with backflips, causing it to absorb the mansion's entrance doors instead.
Then the notebook flies back the way it came, heading towards Ladybug and Cat Noir.
Ladybug manages to knock her partner/boyfriend to the floor with her before they could get absorbed by the book.
The Collector sneers as he remarks, "You won't be able to escape!"
The Collector keeps throwing his sketchbook at the four heroes, who manage to avoid it successfully multiple times by using their respective ability to fly.
Then, all five combatants come into the Agreste Mansion's large dining room.
Steel Butterfly replicates all of the chairs with his new weapon, a multiplication gun, and throws several of the replica chairs at the sketchbook, neutralizing the pages.
Steel Butterfly leaps over to The Collector and in slow motion, he manages to break the notebook, allowing Ladybug to capture and purify the Akuma and use her Miraculous Ladybug cure to restore everyone and everything absorbed by the sketchbook.
Cat Noir remarks disappointedly, "Well, that was... easier than I expected."
Bunnyx adds, "No argument there, kitty cat."
The Collector turns back into Gabriel Agreste.
All the while, Adrien's clone enters the room to further throw Gabriel off his son's trail of his dual identity.
Adrien's clone asks, "Dad? Are you okay?"
Gabriel cries out, "Adrien!"
Gabriel hugs his son's secret clone.
Bunnyx says, "Well, sorry to interrupt, but we gotta go."
The four heroes depart, and Gabriel leaves the room before smiling evilly to himself as he remarks, "See you very soon!"
Adrien's clone mentally remarks, "See you on Heroes' Day indeed. Mwa hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha."
In Master Fu's massage shop, the four heroes and the Great Guardian watch the footage of Gabriel being informed by one of Miguel's clones, Officer William Bryce, that the stolen property was found and returned to his safe by the auxiliary heroes during the battle with Collector.
Gabriel sees the fake Peacock Miraculous and the fake spellbook.
Gabriel checks the fakes and sees that they're "real."
The security footage ends with Gabriel thanking the "officer."
Miguel remarks, "In my opinion and in everyone else's opinion, Master, the strangest occurrence is that even though he checked the fake items to see if they were real or not, Gabriel still fell for it hook, line and sinker. But it's still hilarious! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! And now, Adrien and I are far, far below any suspicions of being the ones who '"stole"' and '"returned"' the stolen property that rightfully belongs to the remnants of the Order of the Guardians."
Ryoka advises, "Yes, but don't celebrate too soon; we may have tricked Gabriel twice in one go, but we have to be extra vigilant since his remaining Akumatized champions before the Heroes' Day Battle are a problem that will not go away. And with Gabriel still suspecting of Adrien's dual identity for the time being, we have to be sure that Gabriel is tricked into thinking that his own son isn't Cat Noir so that our plans for Heroes' Day succeed."
Master Fu adds while taking pictures of the spellbook's contents with his phone, "I will agree, we will have to exercise caution to catch Hawk Moth off-guard on Heroes' Day this coming October, in addition to preventing him from learning Cat Noir's identity. And I will also admit, these modern inventions are really interesting and remarkable. Hmm. This cellular telephone, known as the smartphone, capable of making calls, taking pictures like a camera, and capable of recording anything like a film camera used by cartoon and movie directors. Ah, the wonders of modern technology in the twenty-first century."
In Gabriel's atelier, Gabriel is looking through the pages of the spellbook on his computer monitor, revealing that Steel Butterfly was right: in the event Gabriel lost the original book, he had copies of the pages saved on his computer.
Nathalie quizzes, "So then, if you already had a copy of the spellbook, why'd you have to go through all of that trouble, sir?"
Gabriel rejoinders, "I did what I had to do to protect my secret, Nathalie."
Gabriel presses the code into his wife's painting to access his lair and the elevator takes him to his lair.
Gabriel opens the small white box where he kept the original Butterfly Miraculous during the whole stunt, and Nooroo emerges.
Gabriel smiles evilly as he croons, "Happy to see me again?"
Nooroo replies solemnly, "At your service, Master."
Gabriel calls out, "Nooroo, Dark Wings Rise!"
Just like in the Origins episode, the white butterflies surround Gabriel and encase him in a cocoon of white and purple light for a few seconds before leaving him as he transforms into Hawk Moth and he grunts ferociously.
Hawk Moth monologues smugly, "Steel Butterfly, Bunnyx, Lion Hunter, Blueclaw, Rhinocharge, Cat Knight, Corvo, Ladybug and Cat Noir – you all almost succeeded in discovering who I really am, but now I am way above suspicion for you to be pointing fingers at me. Now, I am more above and below suspicion than I've ever been before. As of today, nothing will stop me from getting Ladybug and Cat Noir's Miraculouses, and making my greatest wish come to life! Now, all I have to do for the time being is wait for my next prey to experience negative emotions, and then, the Ladybug and Black Cat Miraculouses will be mine!"
Hawk Moth cackles deeply.
In his primary lair, Steel Butterfly also monologues smugly, "Hawk Moth, you almost managed to capture us, you almost managed to steal Ladybug and Cat Noir's Miraculouses, and your little stunt as The Collector doesn't work this time! Nothing will stop me from putting you, Nathalie and Lila in prison! Nothing will stop me from reviving Emilie myself and turning her against you. After all, both of you brought that future fate upon yourselves. Now, all I need to do is wait, watch and listen. Because if I do enough time from the sidelines, I'll learn a few new techniques. Just gotta be patient, 'cause every supervillain screws up one way or another, sooner or later. And when Heroes' Day comes, the final battle will end, with the Mother Miracle Box completed in the hands of the Order of the Guardians! And then, I'll get rid of Cash, Techno-Pirate, Ignoblia and Future Bunnyx if it comes down to it! But soon, we will unlock our power-up potions. Soon, we will have a Tenshized superhero army ready to fight your Scarlet Army on Heroes' Day. And if Future Bunnyx were to, let's say, try to interfere with MY timeline by attempting to break you, Nathalie and Lila out of prison with alternate universe and alternate timeline versions of your respective Miraculouses to make the events of season 3, the Shanghai Special, the New York Special, season 4, season 5, season 6, season 7, season 8, season 9, season 10, season 11, and season 12 play out in much looser form of chronological order from the Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir cartoon in the primary timeline... well, Future Bunnyx had better be prepared for an all-out war. I mean, after all, I've been training Bunnyx in this timeline to not interfere with this timeline and to be a much better Time Guardian than she initially was before she screwed up with the Cat Blanc timeline. BUT, by the time I'm through with Nathalie and Lila, I'll make sure to have their feet tickle tortured while hanging them upside down BEFORE I have them arrested. So, for now, I'll lay low and start planning... your eternal defeat!"
Steel Butterfly laughs maniacally like the Tengu Shredder during his first nightmare appearance after his resurrection.
(Steel Butterfly's voice-over POV as he writes in his first Rorschach-inspired journal...)
Steel Butterfly's journal.
May 21st, 2015.
Second journal entry today.
My plans worked!
Gabriel Agreste doesn't suspect a thing!
I don't believe it! I did it! I made myself and my teammates below suspicions with a fake Peacock Miraculous and a fake Miraculous spellbook!
And the weirdest thing, in my opinion and in the opinions of my benefactor and my teammates, is that Gabriel actually fell for all of it, hook, line, and sinker.
Believe me, when I returned home after today's events, I cackled maniacally until I could finally let out a blissful sigh to prevent myself from experiencing a nose bleed, or from busting a gut, or from splitting my sides, even though I'm still invulnerable in the godly sense.
Ahh. But all the same, Gabriel is sometimes not as smart as he looks, but if you move carefully from the shadows and find several weaknesses in his paranoia and his security, you'll be able to strike hard and fade away without a trace.
And of course, there's a good chance that he might discover the ruse if he looked carefully at the fakes during the aftermath of the Syren incident if he ever thought about looking closely and carefully at the fake spellbook in particular, but after and before the pages about the aqua potion.
In any case, there are some things about the future I will have to reveal to Master Fu, Marinette, Adrien and Alix, including several different instances in which Lila and Gabriel's cruelties were taken up to eleven with the Cat Blanc and Sentimonster Ladybug incidents.
And of course, the next Akumatization to prepare for is Adam Weller, aka Replay, a supervillain who controls time with his wristwatch, as well as controlling people with his wristwatch. Specifically by freezing them in place, unfreezing them, making them walk and talk backwards in time like someone pressed the universal rewind button, and making them walk and talk really fast like someone pressed the universal fast forward button.
The first incident in the Miraculous Adventures comics before my friends meet the United Heroez and help to defeat the Trash Krakken, both chronologically and non-chronologically.
My world's Thomas Astruc can say all he likes how the Miraculous Adventures comics are non-canon to the show, but I beg to differ.
You see, the Miraculous Adventures comics detail events not shown in the show that took place between The Collector and Prime Queen, thereby introducing the United Heroez in a looser form of appearances before the New York Special introduced them in their true appearances.
You see, the Miraculous Adventures comics show the following events that take place after The Collector and before Prime Queen: Ladybug and Cat Noir contending with Replay. Marinette being taught about the history of the Miraculouses and the associated kwamis. Marinette and Adrien having to cut their beach day short to fight Silurus. Ladybug and Cat Noir being taken to New York City to meet the main members of the United Heroez. The battle against the Trash Krakken. And most importantly, Ladybug requesting the United Heroez to find out more about the mysterious black substance responsible for the creation of the Trash Krakken.
But sadly, because issues 6 and 8 are the only ones that continue the story after issue 4, and because no official plot information about issues 6 and 8 was ever released onto Miraculous Ladybug Wiki on my Earth – although admittedly, it may be because of the fact that issues 6 and 8 weren't ever released for sale in any number quantities – it's official to say that Ladybug and Cat Noir never got the opportunity to learn more about the mysterious black substance that created the Trash Krakken out of a New York citizen whose real name was never revealed to the reading audiences whatsoever.
But that doesn't matter now. What matters is me setting in motion me and my team learning about the identities of the Trash Krakken and Silurus.
Anyway, I'm gonna have to get ready for the battles against Replay, Silurus, and the Trash Krakken.
Although, I find it disappointing that the Miraculous Adventures comics were discontinued after just eight issues, and with a cliffhanger about the mysterious black substance mystery that should've been solved, no less.
I just hope and pray that things will go smoothly as we transition to the time where Master Fu and I teach Marinette, Adrien and Alix all about the history of the Miraculouses and the associated kwamis, their powers, and everything else they needed to know so far.
Although admittedly, back on my Earth, a select few fanfiction writers actually expanded on the idea of exploring their own takes on Miraculous Adventures 6 and 8 to solve a mystery that should've been solved by the time of 2023, especially since there was no release date in the U.S for Miraculous Adventures issues 6 and 8.
But anyway, I intend to see if anything can be done about the mystery of the mysterious black substance in terms of the greatest scientists in the ranks of the United Heroez finding out more about it. Specifically, what it is, where it comes from, what happens if anyone else touches it, what the side effects of being infected by the substance is, especially after being cleansed of it, and if there is any cure for it other than the purifying superpower of the Ladybug Miraculous, and my Butterfly Miraculous.
And as you readers might know from watching the episodes of this new Miraculous Ladybug cartoon, I make it a habit and a hobby to collect Transformers action figures from Beast Wars all the way to the Legacy Trilogy.
The reason for that is because I've always been fascinated by the toyline franchise that features alien robots capable of transforming their bodies to resemble vehicles, animals, weapons, every day objects, and even planets.
And among the toys I tend to collect includes multiple iterations and multiple copies of the characters that are often displayed as generic foot soldiers in the Autobot, Decepticon, Maximal, Predacon, and Quintesson armies.
The reason for that is because, well, if you're going to have a YouTube stop motion series depicting your own take on Transformers, especially the War for Cybertron and the War for Earth in Beast Machines, Transformers Prime, Transformers War for Cybertron, Transformers Rise of the Dark Spark, Transformers Fall of Cybertron, Transformers Robots in Disguise 2015, Transformers Armada, Transformers Energon, Transformers Cybertron, the Transformers 2007 comic books, the Transformers 2007 console and Nintendo DS video games, the Transformers Revenge of the Fallen comic books, movie and video games, the Transformers Dark of the Moon comic books, movie and video games, the Transformers Age of Extinction comic books, movie and video games, the Transformers The Last Knight movie, the Transformers Bumblebee movie, the Transformers Generation 1 cartoon, movie, comic books, and video games like Transformers Devastation, Transformers Animated, Transformers Rescue Bots, the Transformers War for Cybertron Trilogy, and Transformers Cyberverse, why not have generic troops among the Cybertronian armies alongside generic human troops to depict the human armies affiliated with either side to flush out the ranks of both sides in the wars of the Transformers franchise?
Yeah, I have a feeling that my Transformers toy collection that consists of millions, maybe vigintillions, of action figures could easily make me even more rich if I sold my toys.
But of course, I made sure that I didn't buy any toys that come from the original Generation 1 cartoons or any toys that have design flaws like Gold Plastic Syndrome, weak plastic that can break if the toy is not played around with carefully, etc.
And of course, I also have toys that feature multiple iterations of specific Autobots, Decepticons, Maximals, and Predacons that are able to fly, including some versions of Optimus Prime, Megatron, Optimus Primal, and Beast Megatron as a Transmetal 1 and a Transmetal 2.
And as you already know, my former Sentibeing children turned actual Miraculous-wielding superhumans as well as my kwami Leppey helped me in making my own Transformers multiverse crossover stop motion series that features a God Mode Autobot in Transformers Prime changing bits of the future one small to big detail at a time and being given the ability to summon from various Transformers universes different Autobots, Decepticons, Maximals, and Predacons to assist the Aligned continuity Autobots in the war against the Aligned continuity Decepticons.
Yeah, I was inspired by at least 2 to 5 Transformers Prime fanfictions that explored the exact same theme, but without the original character having a God Mode.
And as you already know, I invented 289 Miraculouses for my 289 former Sentibeings to become inducted into my ranks.
I just hope that I won't regret it, because since we're going to be migrating to New York at some point in the future and since Paris has strict gun laws, suffice to say that regrets on and off the streets of New York City are often measured in more than just bullets.
But anyway, this is goodbye for now, readers. I gotta get ready to tell my friends and benefactor all about the multiverse and tell them all about the big bombs of the future that can and will take place if in the event we're unable to apprehend Hawk Moth, Nathalie, and Lila on Heroes' Day.
The End.
(Omake #1: The surprise everyone was waiting for. Master Fu somewhat allows himself, along with Ladybug, Cat Noir and Bunnyx to be taken by Steel Butterfly to Earth Prime to explain the multiverse after being interrogated about whether or not he – Steel Butterfly – really is from another universe and Steel Butterfly explains the fanfiction stories from his Earth that feature different realities from the Quantic Multiverse.)
In Master Fu's massage parlor, Marinette crosses her arms sternly as she asks, "Okay, Miguel. Spill it. Are you really from another universe where the lives of our team – minus you and your friends – are a work of fiction to entertain children?"
Miguel answers unfazed, "Yes. As I told you guys earlier today, I didn't tell you, Adrien and Alix at first because Master Fu ordered me not to. And like I also said earlier today, we had to take oaths of silence because if either of you had found out during an Akuma attack and the Akumatized victim heard everything, Hawk Moth would've also found out and he would've tried breaching the barriers of our respective dimensions to recruit my family and my remaining friends to his cause simply to break me down enough to Akumatize me just so he could add the power of my Miraculous to his own in his quest to revive Mrs. Agreste, in addition to finding a way to abuse my foreknowledge to ensure that the dark futures caused by his many Akumatized victims would come to fruition, with a lot of exceptions. And trust me, like I said earlier, it would've caused a LOT of complete disasters."
Marinette, Tikki, Adrien, Plagg, Alix and Fluff looked at each other before Alix inquires the Guardian, "Is this true, Master Fu?"
Master Fu answers, "Yes, it is true. We also had to take oaths of silence because Miguel's foreknowledge of our futures can easily be abused by just about anyone in this world, not just Hawk Moth. Besides, for all we know, Lila Rossi could end up eavesdropping on any conversation involving her becoming Gabriel's successor as Hawk Moth in the future and she could end up trying to discreetly do anything in making that future happen much earlier than expected. And, as far as I've been told from Miguel's experiences combined with time travel-related science fiction, I've found that even having foreknowledge of the future can be a difficult thing to live with, and if Miguel didn't handle and use his foreknowledge responsibly, there would've been unknown repercussions to the changes in the time stream."
Marinette, her two allies and their kwamis looked on in understanding before looking back at Miguel.
Miguel then asks, "Marinette, Tikki, Adrien, Plagg, Alix, Fluff, have you guys ever heard of the theory of the multiverse before meeting me and my team and before you guys found out the truth about us? Because I found out the easy way fifteen years ago when I was first brought to your dimension that the multiverse was real."
Marinette, Adrien, Alix and their kwamis had puzzled looks on their faces before Marinette answered, "I used to believe in the theory of the multiverse, but until now, I never realized that the multiverse was real. And until you told us about the power of the Rabbit Miraculous, I never knew how real time travel was, either."
Miguel explains, "As you guys already know, the multiverse is a hypothetical theory about multiple different universes, each with a different reality on Earth. Such as one in which the Nazis won World War II, one in which our respective parents never met and therefore we were never born, one in which Hawk Moth succeeded in his goal of reviving his wife, only for the world to be changed in a drastic way, one in which an alien invasion destroyed the human race and the Miraculouses that the Order of the Guardians had been protecting so far, one in which the Miraculouses were instrumental in helping God's army achieve victory in the final battle in the far future, and so forth. As you already know, every version of Earth contains different iterations of us in different ways, including different names, different genders, different pasts, different futures, etc. Sometimes, some versions of us happen to be normal civilians due to a shift in the time stream preventing us from becoming superheroes. Sometimes, some versions of us turned out to be more like villains rather than heroes, Adrien's counterparts in particular failing to go to public school and therefore granting his father the opportunity to add the Black Cat Miraculous to his power and ranks. And sometimes, some versions of Marinette turn salty towards the Akuma Class for refusing to see the truth to Lila's lies for any reason other than being too enthralled by her lies to the point where by the time the truth comes out, it's already too late to fix anything and to the point where Adrien would become a socially isolated outcast for choosing to not do anything about Lila's lies regardless of whether or not he was informed of how dangerous she really is."
Marinette looked at Adrien in concern, and he returned the expression.
Miguel continues, "And as all of you already knows as well, every version of Earth extends in numbers all the way to infinity. They all occupy the same position in their orbits in space, but every Earth in the multiverse vibrates at differing frequencies so that they can't see each other."
Everyone was amazed at how well Miguel was taught about how the multiverse works.
Miguel elaborates further, "But there's one constant in the theory of the multiverse that happens to be a must: somewhere in the multiverse is an Earth I call Earth Prime. Every variation of Earth originates from this single Earth Prime. And I wish for you all to see it."
Miguel becomes Steel Butterfly and, with Master Fu's signal, SB uses his powers to transport all eight of them to Earth Prime, which looks exactly like the Earth Prime from Justice League: Crisis On Two Earths in the sense that Earth Prime was out of its solar orbit, no signs of life were anywhere on Earth Prime, and everything that was ever built was destroyed irreversibly.
Marinette, Tikki, Adrien, Plagg, Alix, Fluff, Master Fu and Wayzz gasp in shock and horror at the sight before them.
In particular, Master Fu and Wayzz were surprised that Steel Butterfly would actually transport them to this particular iteration of Earth Prime instead of SB's Earth.
Steel Butterfly announces and explains while doing his best Owlman impression, "Ladies, gentlemen and Kwamis of the jury, welcome to Earth Prime. Before there was rational thought and overall human history in our respective universes, there was this universe. Before there was freedom and thought, there was originally this place. This solar system with only one single version of Earth with only one singular history. And with the coming and evolution of mankind came the introduction of the concept known to us as free will. And with the concept of free will introduced to the universe came order and chaos as human beings started making choices in the three categories: good, bad and neutral. With each and every decision we make and ever will make spanning over two hundred thousand years since human beings started thinking and talking rationally after coming into existence, we create another Earth in the multiverse. Reality and history are split in two to create two different realities: one in which we made a specific good or bad choice, especially involving the choice of whether or not we choose to pass a test we think is overly complicated, and another reality in which we made the opposite choice. That is the secret to the universes that we're most familiar with. Billions of people on countless different versions of Earth making billions of choices all throughout the multiverse, regardless of any consequences afterwards, thereby creating more new infinite Earths. Some of them are eerily indistinguishable to one another that you would have to spend a lifetime to find any distinguishable differences. Other ones are so drastically different to each other that they defy all comprehension and logic."
Master Fu then asks, "So, all of the branches of reality throughout the multiverse began here in this Prime Universe?"
Steel Butterfly answers, "Yes. Every variant of our realities hangs precariously onto the balance of keeping into existence and keeping intact this single original version of Earth."
Fluff then asks, "But what happened to this Earth?"
Steel Butterfly answers, "Just like in the fictional superhero film known as Justice League: Crisis On Two Earths, this Earth Prime has fallen out of its solar orbit due to unknown circumstances. An unknown cataclysm – the disaster, not the superpower – caused this original Earth to fall out of its solar orbit, thereby killing every single creature that ever lived in the present day or ever will live in the future. And it's entirely possible that by the time the people of this Earth found out what the problem to the planet shifting out of its orbit was, it was already far too late to fix the problem and it was far too late to record the final piece of human history detailing the extinction of the human race and every last form of life on Earth vanishing from existence. In addition to that, everything that our dead counterparts' ancestors had ever built and invented or were ever gonna build and invent – trains, fast food restaurants, movie theaters, ice cream parlors, pizza restaurants, burger joints, pretzel food carts, hot dog carts, massage parlors, cars, trucks, airplanes, fighter jets, helicopters, gyrodynes, spacecraft, freeze-dried food, astronaut spacesuits, laser beams, nuclear missiles, x-ray machines, MRI machines, sedatives, surgical tools, microchips for pets and government agents, spy planes, SAM sites, Santa Claus tracker websites, the internet, television sets, console video games, handheld video games, computer video games, swords, metal suits of armor, Kevlar bulletproof vests, riot shields, bulletproof shields, tanks, jeeps, stone tablets, cellular telephones, live gunpowder, explosive devices, modern industries including the modern entertainment industry, comic books, religion books, nice clothes, awesome costumes, apartment buildings, electrical mechanics, the US Space Station, time machines, spacecraft capable of hyper speed travel, every sum of data about the human race and everything that has ever been invented by human beings and discovered by human beings for thousands of years – all of it completely gone. Every human invention either damaged or destroyed beyond even advanced conventional repairs. Most of humankind's paper-written and digitally typed data and most of humankind's technologies of every era are completely irretrievable. Every last form of carbon-based life on Earth Prime exists no longer."
Everyone else was completely horrified by the explanation.
Plagg then inquires shakily, "Wh-what exactly do you plan to do for this Earth?"
Steel Butterfly replies somberly and matter-of-factly, "I'm sorry, Plagg, but I'm afraid that the damage has since been done. Even if we knew what the source of this Earth falling out of its solar orbit was, it's already far, far too late to do anything about it. And if some nihilistic egomaniac like the DC Comics Earth 2 Owlman were to come to this Earth, he would try to blow up the planet, thereby creating a feedback loop that can destroy every single version of Earth across the multiverse, killing every form of indigenous Earthly life in the process. And besides, even though this Earth is not exactly the most glamorous version of Earth to spawn our respective multiverses, sad to say that this is the reality of the multiverse theory."
After transporting himself and his allies back to their Earth, Steel Butterfly was asked by Tikki, "Okay, so, since the multiverse exists in our respective realities, does that mean that the multiverse of our reality exists on your Earth?"
Steel Butterfly answers, "Yes, but your multiverse exists on my Earth primarily in the form of fanfiction stories made by people who are very outraged at some of the choices you guys made, including Marinette and Adrien not revealing their identities to each other on their first day as heroes, Marinette and Adrien not exposing Lila Rossi's lies sooner, Ms. Bustier being an enabler of a teacher, both her and Mr. Damocles not suffering the consequences of their respective actions in the past and in the future of the chronological timeline, and of course, Master Fu picking favorites with Marinette compared to teaching both her and Adrien about their respective powers thanks to the stupid identity rule and the stupid love square. Oh, and I can't forget that people on my Earth weren't happy about Master Fu picking children to fight Hawk Moth despite the clear logical reasoning behind the difficulty of picking the correct adult users for the Ladybug and Black Cat Miraculouses in today's world."
Everyone looks at each other in shock and varying other emotions.
Then, Steel Butterfly explained, "In my reality, there are several fanfiction stories that people on my Earth write for the sole purpose of escaping the cartoon version of your Earth just in case they saw something traumatic, or if they want to vent their frustrations about the choices made on your Earth that people from my reality don't agree with, or if they just want to entertain Miraculous Ladybug fans in general. Of course, in my Earth, several fanfiction stories of your dimension usually detailed alternate versions of your reality that tends to sometimes cross over with other forms of fiction, as long as it has heroes in it. But the majority of the time, it involves either Adrien, Marinette, the Akuma Class, Ms. Bustier, Mr. Damocles, Gabriel, Lila, Marinette's parents, Master Fu, or someone else entirely making the wrong choices that people from my Earth don't agree with and they end up suffering the consequences in small and big ways. For example, during the Chameleon episode and Chameleon Akumatization incident, Adrien's primary counterpart told Marinette's counterpart to take the high road with Lila's lies out of fear of Lila becoming Akumatized while being unaware that Lila was willingly working for Hawk Moth at the time to kill Ladybug just to settle a petty and undying grudge for being called out on her lies. At the time, Adrien's primary counterpart was a bit of a sidelines coward because of the fact that his sheltered house life has rendered him unable to comprehend that even if there was a specific amount of time and patience used, not everyone is gonna change for the better, and Lila Rossi is the finest and worst example of that. Adrien's primary counterpart had wanted everyone, including Lila, to be friends with each other, which just about proves how naive he really is thanks to his f****** s***** excuse of a father. At the same time, Adrien's primary counterpart didn't know that the world is not always black and white. His primary counterpart didn't know that people can change for both the better and for the worst. Adrien didn't know that not everything can be handled in a diplomatic manner. Adrien didn't know that by choosing to sit on the sidelines and do nothing like a coward, he'll end up socially isolated by the time it's too late. Adrien's primary counterpart also didn't know that the main difference between taking the high road with tabloids and taking the high road with people like Lila Rossi who would willingly collaborate with supervillains and terrorists alike is that lies do in fact hurt people. And at the same time, Adrien was always told by his mother to never raise a fuss when something is about to go horribly wrong in any category. And exposing a liar's lies, even without knowing the potential benefits or repercussions, is one of those examples. But bear in mind, that even our current version of Adrien was raised by people – including his father – who didn't want him to be around people his age, who didn't want him to have a normal childhood, and who didn't want him to learn everything there is about social interactions in today's world. And therefore, this has rendered Adrien somewhat unfamiliar with social interactions and somewhat unaware that taking the high road with people like Lila and enabling the behavior of bullies, including his childhood friends, all have serious consequences that get worse the more time passes without the proper punishments inflicted sooner. After people on my Earth saw Marinette's primary counterpart accept the high road proposal without a second opinion and without telling him the truth about Lila's Akumatization out of fear of Adrien's primary counterpart not believing her and out of fear of his primary counterpart still refusing to do a thing about it after telling him, everyone on my Earth got so p***** off that they called out the creators of the show about it by demanding explanations, all while getting answers that only fuelled everyone's rage, and this led to a metaphorical explosion of fanfictions detailing Marinette exposing Lila's lies and true motives before the serial liar could have the chance to cause irreparable harm. And sometimes in these stories, Adrien is described as having gotten worse in his enabling behavior and his entitlement to Ladybug's love and his desire to know her identity without regard for the consequences, and those stories all lead to Adrien either having his Miraculous revoked, having his memories of being a Miraculous holder permanently erased, or even both. And sometimes, Marinette is described as having gotten worse in her stalker behavior and her selective favoritism in season 4 to the point where she treats Cat Noir like trash, to the point where Marinette has to serve time in juvie for stalking, or something else along those lines. Thus, the Chameleon episode led to the birth of the Salt Fic genre where one or more characters are described as incompetent protagonists or something else entirely and they do things that aren't heroic at all, and they suffer the consequences for their actions at the end of the stories."
After about a few hours in frozen time, Steel Butterfly explained that there are several fanfictions in his reality that feature the Akuma Class and the members doing something wrong and getting punished for it, up to and including Alix/Bunnyx attempting to change the past to preserve her future and ending up being erased from existence or permanently replaced, sometimes a little bit of both.
Steel Butterfly also explained that those fanfictions combined with the Cat Blanc episode inspired him to drop his initial plans of having Bunnyx permanently replaced and to start her training so that she can become a much more efficient Time Guardian and so she could be educated about the consequences of attempting to play god with timelines.
It was tough for Alix to restrain herself from attacking Steel Butterfly, but when Steel Butterfly mentioned that he had still faith in the current user of the Rabbit Miraculous in the current timeline, Alix tearfully hugged the taller butterfly hero.
After another half hour in frozen time, everyone read the majority of the fanfiction stories from Miguel's Earth that he spoke about, and while Adrien didn't appreciate his counterparts being treated like dirt, he had to bear in mind that the multiverse works by splitting reality in two to create an alternate reality where his opposite choices had opposite consequences. Up to and including his counterparts joining forces with his father and being arrested for aiding and abetting a terrorist, reckless endangerment, sexual harassment, sexual assault, and so forth.
At the same time, Adrien also had to bear in mind that many fanfiction writers from Miguel's reality felt like writing those stories to vent their frustrations at some of the choices his primary counterpart had made in the original timeline regardless of whether he knew about the consequences or not, and regardless of whether it was part of his sheltered house life or if it was something that naturally came into his mind.
At the same time, Master Fu and Marinette found it very unflattering that they were also treated like dirt and portrayed as having gotten worse in their mistakes, mannerisms and behaviors in certain fanfictions.
But thankfully, they remembered that Miguel came into their reality simply to fix the timeline and to spite his world's Thomas Astruc, while also having come into this current reality for the sole purpose of helping his favorite heroes and friends in their lives as best as he can muster based on his own real life experiences with some of the same scenarios.
But eventually, Marinette, Adrien, Alix, Miguel and Master Fu made plans to prepare for any more of Hawk Moth's Akumatized victims and to learn more about their respective Miraculouses to ensure that no one abuses a Miraculous jewel again and to ensure that the legacy of the Order of the Guardians remains strong and endures, no matter if the Order can be restored or not.
(Omake #2: Miguel shares large bits about the future with Marinette, Adrien, Alix, and Master Fu in reference to Gabriel Agreste's crimes as Hawk Moth, Scarlet Moth, Shadow Moth and Shadow Noir. Along with the antics of Felix Fathom. Felix's betrayal in the season 4 finale. Tomoe Tsurugi's crimes in season 5. Nathalie quitting her job just because Monarch f***** up his mission to rewrite history just because of his impatience, his greed and his obsession with defeating Ladybug and Cat Noir. Amelie Graham de Vanily covering up Felix's whereabouts from Ladybug and Cat Noir without being aware of her son's crimes and her nephew's identity. How Rabbit Noir came close to discovering the Cat Blanc timeline if not for Thomas Astruc and his writers being lazy again. How Alix became Bunnyx as a teenager. Bunnyx revealing her identity to her father by sending him postcards from the future without Ladybug knowing about it or giving her permission. Alim Kubdel revealing to the Akuma Class Bunnyx's identity while there's a high possibility that Lila Rossi could find out and snitch to Monarch just because she probably heard about it through the grapevine or possibly hearing about it due to one of the students telling her while everyone was still unaware of Lila's crimes. Grandmaster Su-Han going to the Guardian Temple to request for reinforcements. The crimes of Lila Rossi. Possible scenarios of Lila as the Hawk Moth of the future. Explaining the purpose of the Ultimate Miraculous Absolute Power. The fact that Miraculous Ladybug had a season 8, a season 9, a season 10, a season 11, and a season 12 thanks to the other Miraculous Ladybug directors confirming it in 2022 and thanks to Thomas Astruc keeping his word about more seasons being made depending on the show's popularity with the viewers. Explaining further bits of the future in season 3, season 4, and season 5. And explaining the consequences of any wish Lila makes in her quest to have everything she ever wanted.)
Marinette asks, "So, tell us, Miguel, exactly how will Gabriel be able to Akumatize an army of supervillains?"
Miguel answers, "Well, at the present time, Gabriel already knows that he simply can't Akumatize an army of supervillains on a whim, mainly because the Akumatization magic energy is severely limited per transformation usage, thereby allowing him to make only one Akumatized supervillain at a time. I believe this is mainly a failsafe to prevent more than one Akumatized champion from turning rogue in the event the Butterfly Miraculous had the power to Akumatize more than one champion under any circumstances. Think about it; if Hawk Moth's heroic predecessors had the ability to Akumatize more than one person into a superhero with more than one Akuma or Tenshi, who knows what kind of harm more than one rogue Akumatized or Tenshized superhero can cause together? Anyway, Gabriel also knew that if he tried to Akumatize more than one person at the exact same time with more than one Akuma in normal circumstances, there's a high chance he could accidentally damage the Butterfly Miraculous. And since Gabriel possessed the Peacock Miraculous in its damaged state thanks to Emilie's usage, Gabriel knew what happens to anyone who uses a damaged Miraculous. Therefore, he will have no choice but to Akumatize Nathalie into a supervillain with the ability to upgrade the powers and abilities of any hero and villain, Miraculous user or otherwise. Thus, as Scarlet Moth, Gabriel will able to Akumatize an army of supervillains on a whim without any side effects and without risking damaging the Butterfly Miraculous. It works like this: since Nathalie's Akumatization is a willing one, her powers are a tad stronger. It turns out even without the required negative emotions, people like Nathalie or Lila who get Akumatized willingly results in their powers being more efficient. As Catalyst, Nathalie can easily give any superhuman a superpower upgrade, regardless of whether that superhuman is a normal superhuman, an organic alien, an alien robot, an angel, a demon, a mutant, a vampire, a zombie, a cyborg, an Atlantean, an Amazon warrior, a Tenshized superhero, an Akumatized supervillain, a Guardian monk, a magic practitioner, a magical superhuman like Wonder Woman, a martial artist like Daredevil, a Superman archetype, a brick like the Hulk, an elementalist blaster like Storm, a mage blaster like Doctor Strange, a marksman blaster like The Punisher, an armored hero gadgeteer like Iron Man, a Dominus gadgeteer like the Power Rangers, a speedster like The Flash, Impulse, Jesse Quick, Kid Flash and XS, a mentalist like Professor X, a shapeshifter like Mystique, a size changing hero like Ant-Man, a Henshin Hero like Kamen Rider, a super-soldier like Captain America, an accidental superhuman with insect abilities like Spider-Man, a robot like Cyborg Superman, an energy marksman like Green Lantern, a dark angel like Eric Draven, a former angel like the Ghost Rider, or even a Miraculous user. As Scarlet Moth, Gabriel uses his cane to turn his butterflies into Scarlet Akumas, which are basically a deep crimson red with bright red edges and white markings. In addition to that, Scarlet Moth is able to not only Akumatize his victims even without consent, but he's also able to summon humongous swarms of Scarlet Akumas out of nowhere. Presumably by making his Scarlet Akumas discreetly multiply. And in that scenario, he's not above using dirty and unfair tactics in the Battle of the Scarlet Army on Heroes' Day. Such as having his villains outnumber any opposition and using Dark Cupid to reakumatize any of his victims that have been returned to normal by shooting his hate-spreading arrows at the deakumatized victims, thereby replacing their love with hate since hatred counts as a negative emotion, thusly allowing them to be reakumatized over and over again. But here's the catch: in normal Akumatizations, Hawk Moth's villains retain their powers even when his Miraculous is inactive and even when his Miraculous has been destroyed, but when Scarlet Moth detransforms, willingly or not, his Scarlet Akumatized victims return to normal instantly."
Master Fu remarks, "So, that is how Hawk Moth will be able to increase his powers for the first time?"
Miguel nods.
Adrien then asks, "And will we be able to help throw my father behind bars during Heroes' Day?"
Miguel answers, "As long as the Peacock Miraculous remains here, your father being in prison along with his assistant and his collaborator is a strong possibility. Besides, if Nathalie got her hands on the Peacock Miraculous, as Mayura, she would create a Butterfly Sentimonster to save her boss, thereby prolonging his reign of terror by another two to three years. Perhaps even four years if he ever got his hands on the Miracle Box."
Alix then inquires, "And what would happen if Hawk Moth had the power of the Peacock Miraculous to add to his own?"
Miguel replies, "He would be able to use the power of emotion to create Sentimonsters to help his villainous champions while taking on the identity of Shadow Moth."
Marinette, Adrien, Alix, Master Fu and their kwamis looked bewildered by a smidge.
Wayzz then asks, "And let me guess: if Shadow Moth used Catalyst's power to upgrade his powers, he would be able to create infinite Akumatized supervillains and Sentimonsters?"
Miguel answers again, "Yes, while taking on an identity like Scarlet Shadow or something similar."
Master Fu then quizzes, "And will Mr. Agreste stoop to any lows to get what he wants?"
Looking somber, Miguel rejoinders, "Yes. Chief among them being Akumatizing Adrien in a different timeline into Ephemeral, a supervillain who has the ability to make people go faster in time by touching them. And if Ephemeral touches a Miraculous user, he can accelerate the time it takes for a Miraculous user to detransform after using their powers. That rule applies to even adult Miraculous users. And in that same timeline, Gabriel would end up stealing the Black Cat Miraculous and adding its power to the power of the Butterfly and Peacock Miraculouses as Shadow Noir, whose outfit is reminiscent of the Marvel character the Black Panther. And his supersuit literally showed off how muscular Gabriel really is. I don't know why that is as no official explanation was given until at least the Penalteam episode. But even before the Penalteam episode was released, I'm guessing that in his younger years, Gabriel was very involved in sports and regular gym exercises before he became a fashion designer and before he became Hawk Moth. For Shadow Noir, it's not the most original supervillain name, but anyway, the reason how that all came to be is partially because of this. And let me start at the beginning. In the Battle of the Miraculouses season 3 finale in the original timeline, Hawk Moth had Andre Bourgeois and his wife, the Fashion Queen Audrey Bourgeois Akumatized, Hawk Moth took advantage of their daughter Chloe feeling like she was irreversibly replaced as Ladybug's secondary partner by Ryuko to convince Chloe, the former user of the Bee Miraculous at the time, to betray Ladybug after having stolen the Miracle Box after finding Master Fu by simply following Ladybug when she forgot to detransform. And the reason for that was because the identity rule resulted in Adrien having a relationship with Kagami Tsurugi, one of the most skilled fencers in the histories of Japan and France respectively. And because Marinette and Adrien were still in the dark about their identities, especially because of the original Bunnyx being a coward with how she managed to fix the Cat Blanc timeline, Marinette was too heartbroken to focus on losing Hawk Moth long enough to discreetly detransform and approach Master Fu as a civilian. And also because ever since the first time Audrey Bourgeois was Akumatized, Chloe had been the user of the Bee Miraculous, but she deliberately revealed her identity to the public for recognition. Anyway, for Chloe, as Miracle Queen, she hypnotized the auxiliary heroes into becoming her personal army, thereby exposing their identities to Hawk Moth. And this was because of the fact that the Thomas Astruc of my Earth literally threw Chloe's redemption arc down the crapper and got away with it as a form of petty payback to one of his high school bullies under the belief that people like Chloe would never change. And that's only partially untrue, as I've seen in Chloe redemption fanfictions on my Earth. But anyway, when Master Fu renounced guardianship of the Miracle Box to protect Ladybug and Cat Noir's identities, he appointed Ladybug as the new Guardian despite their respective training being incomplete. And then, months later, Ladybug and Cat Noir ran into and met Master Fu's former teacher, Grand Master Su-Han, the leader of the Guardians. He initially tried to take back the Miracle Box and inadvertently caused Master Fu to get Akumatized, but decided later on to leave the Miracle Box under Marinette's care on a trial basis. And then, by the time the Ephemeral episode came out, a new Akumatized supervillain attacked while Adrien was away, and in Su-Han's opinion, only Cat Noir was needed. But Su-Han was unaware of what could possibly happen if Cat Noir was absent or incapacitated, and because Su-Han had just started getting accustomed to the modern world, he's still insistent on the methods of the olden days being used to defeat Akumatized villains without knowing that those methods don't work anymore. That all signifies that Su-Han doesn't know Shadow Moth as well as we do and as well as your counterparts do in their native timeline. Thus, Su-Han demanded Ladybug and Cat Noir reveal their identities to each other or he would take away the Black Cat Miraculous and allegedly find someone worthier of it. And Marinette and Adrien did reveal their identities to each other. But when Gabriel overhead a phone call between Adrien and Marinette, Gabriel heard Adrien call Marinette '"m'lady"', a nickname that only Cat Noir uses for only Ladybug, thusly allowing Gabriel to find out the heroes' identities. But there wasn't enough of a scene that would feature Gabriel figuring out who Cat Noir really was. And when he Akumatized Adrien into Ephemeral after revealing his own identity, Plagg was VERY close to using Cataclysm on Shadow Moth, but he was stopped by a simple command thanks to Shadow Moth wearing the Black Cat Miraculous during the whole affair. And because Plagg was a second too late. Thus, both the Cat Blanc and Ephemeral episodes signified that as long as Gabriel is active as Hawk Moth, and as long as he has Nathalie, Lila, Felix and Primary Timeline Chloe by his side, Marinette and Adrien won't be able to have a safe, honest, healthy and trusting romantic relationship with either each other or with other people. Regardless of whether they're superheroes or normal people."
Master Fu then asks, "How did Su-Han arrive in Paris during the incident involving me being Akumatized?"
The unsaid question being "How did Su-Han arrive in Paris during the incident involving me being Akumatized if he and the other Guardians were devoured by my Sentimonster in 1844?"
Miguel answers enigmatically for the Feast incident to be revealed at another time, "In the aftermath of the Order of the Guardians being fully restored and being brought back to normal, he walked to Paris on foot since he and the other Guardians just didn't have enough time to get adjusted to the modern era, especially because Su-Han was unaware that he could simply use a magic ritual to teleport to Paris or catch an airplane to Paris. And also because, as you'll recall, the Guardians were unaware of the development of modern transportation because they weren't allowed to have a social life or to leave the temple unless it's an emergency. This explains that Su-Han was too late to patch things up with you before you lost your memories in the original timeline. And it also explains why he had really old and torn shoes."
Marinette, Adrien, Alix and Master Fu looked on in shock.
Alix then inquires, "Why did Grand Master Su-Han want to take away the Miracle Box?"
Miguel explains, "Because Marinette unknowingly broke several Guardian rules and she wasn't aware of said rules because she never bothered to ask Master Fu about the rules and because he never bothered to tell her about said rules. That combined with the severity of Hawk Moth's threat combined with Master Fu breaking traditions of the Guardians for good reason caused Master Fu to break some rules as well just because he was on a time crunch to find worthy users of the Ladybug and Black Cat Miraculouses. One of the rules of being a Guardian is to never wear a Miraculous under any circumstances, even if it meant benefitting from the assistance of a kwami in any situation that the Guardian finds themselves in. Another rule involves the kwamis never living outside of the Miracle Box under any circumstances, even if the circumstances were just the kwamis learning about the current era of the outside world. One of the rules involves the Miraculouses being strictly used by adults, and never by children or teenagers. Nobody on my Earth knows about the reason why the Miraculouses were initially used by adults. One of the rules involves a Guardian making sure that they cannot lose a Miraculous. Another of the rules involves never involving humans without powers in a fight. And another rule involves a Guardian having good instincts about their protégés and successors, and another rule involves a Guardian understanding the world around them between each era."
Marinette sternly frowned at Master Fu, who smiled nervously.
After another few minutes, Miguel explained to the others the consequences that could've happened if Su-Han had taken away the Miracle Box and if he had picked new candidates for the Ladybug and Black Cat Miraculouses while simultaneously explaining the difficulties that Su-Han would've encountered if he tried to find worthy adults to use the Ladybug and Black Cat Miraculouses in the twenty-first century and while Gabriel was active as Shadow Moth in the original timeline.
To say the least, Master Fu was not pleased with how his former mentor had treated Marinette and Adrien despite knowing that his Sentimonster had more than a small role to play in that happening.
Miguel's telepathic remark of pointing out that little detail made Master Fu silent.
Miguel continues the explanation of certain events of the future, "Anywho, with Lila being the new face of the Gabriel Agreste brand at the time of the season four finale called The Last Attack of Shadow Moth in the primary timeline, let's just say it was only a matter of time before Lila got the Butterfly Miraculous in the season five finale and became the new Hawk Moth from the shadows in the aftermath of Shadow Moth finally being defeated and arrested."
Tikki quizzes, "And what are some of the things that Lila Rossi has done before the season 5 finale?"
Miguel responds with, "Among the things Lila has done includes framing Marinette for cheating on a mock exam test, framing her for assault and framing her for theft all in one day just to get Marinette expelled from school and so Scarlet Moth can Akumatize Marinette into Princess Justice, a supervillain capable of forcing people to tell the truth and capable of inflicting five ancient Chinese punishments upon the accused. But because Nathalie had been adversely affected by her usage of the Peacock Miraculous after the Reflekdoll incident, which I will gladly explain about at a later point in time in the future, her powers as Catalyst weren't gonna hold and Scarlet Moth detransforming to check on Nathalie ensured that Marinette's Akumatization was interrupted and never completed. But let's just say if Marinette's Akumatization hadn't been interrupted and if Catalyst had not been affected by her usage of the Peacock Miraculous, that incident would've been just like those two what-if fanfictions I showed you guys involving the same incident of Marinette being expelled from school without so much as a trial with the school board. This provides conclusive evidence that in the original timeline, Mr. Damocles and Ms. Bustier are literally incompetent at their jobs to the point where if they were to be put on trial, they would continuously refuse to admit they did anything wrong until they get blue in the face. And my gut told me that absolutely none of Marinette's contingency plans in that scenario were gonna last for long because of the fact that Scarlet Moth's victims are completely under his control, and therefore, with the fact that the small free will they had in a normal non-Scarlet Akumatization is not in a Scarlet Akumatization whatsoever, that means that Scarlet Moth's army doesn't carry out his orders incompetently and they don't try to fulfill their secondary missions if they involve the cause of them getting Akumatized, not without Scarlet Moth knowing about it and not without Scarlet Moth inflicting pain on them to keep them on task."
Marinette, Master Fu, Alix and Adrien looked at each other in shock at the explanation of a large piece of the future.
Even their kwamis didn't look happy.
