Soon their first mission began, the first Hydra base they would destroy was in France, and Jack and Fury made a deal with the World Council, who authorized the Avengers' actions in Europe.

Due to politics, they had to start by clearing out the Hydra bases in the most influential countries, so that the presidents of those countries could have peace. Despite most Hydra bases being near Russia, the Avengers would begin with France.

Jack didn't mind, as he knew they would eventually clear out all of the Hydra bases. These bases were where Hydra conducted research, gathered soldiers, and manufactured weapons. So, for Jack, if Hydra abandoned the bases, they would still destroy them, making it easier.

Jack's goal was not to massacre but to destroy the Hydra bases. However, if the soldiers didn't surrender before they arrived, Jack wouldn't waste time and the Hulk and Iron Man, irritated for sure, would kill many people in their attacks.

But the Hydra leaders, Jack would certainly kill, and wouldn't let the governments capture them to make deals with them. After all, even though Hydra wouldn't end after this attack, the deaths of their leaders would harm Hydra.

In France, the Avengers stayed in a 5-star hotel reserved by the government. The government had reserved some floors of the hotel for them so that the Avengers could rest before their missions.

Jack thought it was a good idea to reserve some hotel rooms to use as meeting rooms, so the Avengers had to stay in those rooms and talk before going to sleep. Steve was talking with Sam, Peter was talking with Wanda and Pietro.

Bruce was talking with Tony, Rhodes, and Johnny, and Clint was talking with Natasha but had to leave to answer his phone. He should have gone to talk to his wife, so Jack took the opportunity to talk with Natasha.

"Natasha, what have you been doing since S.H.I.E.L.D. disappeared?" Jack asked.

"I've been resting. I was a spy for many years, and it's the first time I don't have to go on missions since I was very young. When I got tired of doing nothing, I went to help Maria Hill at the Avengers' base," Natasha said.

"You're doing well by resting. I've been resting too in the last few months. I've just been helping Bruce and Wanda with their training," Jack said.

"Maybe we can go out together sometime after these missions are over when both of us feel like resting again," Jack suggested.

"I thought you had a girlfriend. The last time I heard from you, you were dating a beautiful girl, and I thought you said you were waiting for me to call," Natasha said.

"I waited, I waited for several months to see if you would call me after our conversation, but I couldn't wait forever. But I've ended that relationship now," Jack said.

After saying that, the two didn't say anything else. Jack realized that it was still difficult for him to get a date with Natasha, and Natasha realized that it was difficult for her to act normally around Jack.

It was true that Jack said he would wait for her to call him, but Natasha didn't have time to think about it after the Battle of New York. She only thought of Jack again after seeing a news article about Jack with a new girlfriend at a party.

It was during the battle against Hydra that Natasha realized Jack still thought of her when he made that comment about trust, and after the fall of S.H.I.E.L.D., Natasha discovered that she had done some missions for Hydra. She had more time to think about her feelings.

Natasha told Jack the truth, that she would only be with someone she trusted and knew. She already trusted Jack and was getting to know him better. So, just like she was thinking of how to set Steve up on a date, Natasha thought she could give a new relationship a chance.

Jack had already made a magical contract with the new members of the Avengers and didn't wear a mask in this camera-less hotel at Jack's request. If anyone saw his face, the mind stone would alert Jack and he would find out who was spying on them.

Soon, the day of the first mission arrived. Steve had the information about the Hydra bases and Nick Fury went to the Avengers base to help Maria Hill with the information, and they would provide support to the Avengers through satellites.

"Avengers, our new mission is about to begin. This base in France is smaller than the others because Hydra didn't have the courage to make a base as big in a country like France that could easily discover them," said Jack.

"So in this first mission, we'll let the new members destroy this Hydra base. Of course, we'll all go together so that if the mission is more difficult, we can help, but I think that's unlikely," said Jack.

Jack said this and opened a portal to a place a few kilometers before the Hydra base. The Avengers would use a plane to change countries, but Jack wouldn't make their camp outside the Hydra bases, so he would use his portal to not make the mission too complicated.

Most of the Avengers knew Jack's magic, so they all passed through the portal quickly. Only Rhodes was more impressed by this, but he didn't comment when he saw that he was the only one who didn't know Jack's ability.

The new Avengers advanced to start their first mission. Falcon and War Machine, who were the weakest, had more experience fighting soldiers, and Human Torch was learning to fight with his new team.

Wanda and Pietro were worried about following orders because they didn't know what they should do, and Bruce was excited to do the first mission as Hulk and began to smash everything in his path.

Jack was giving orders on this first mission, after all, only he knew the powers of all the new Avengers. Moreover, many of the new Avengers trusted him, so they listened to his orders more easily.

"Bruce, keep advancing in front, look for Hydra defense bases and tanks on the way to destroy, and try to attract the attention of Hydra soldiers. Human Torch leads the attack from above, and War Machine follows him," said Jack.
