บท 54: Dr. Bruce Banner

"Okay, I accept your proposal. If you can take me to your laboratory without flying or using an airplane, I'll go with you. But as I said, I won't research anything related to the Hulk, and you can't have my blood," agreed Bruce.

"Great, don't worry, Dr. Banner. I'm not interested in your blood or turning into the Hulk. I'll show you how I can get you out of here. I'll go ahead to prepare things, and you can see that it's safe," said Jack.

After saying that, Jack opened a teleportation portal to his laboratory. He had prepared a large part of the laboratory for Bruce, including a big room with a kitchen and bathroom.

The laboratory was reinforced with metallic materials to prevent radiation, sound, and even nuclear materials from escaping. It was also reinforced and could hold the Hulk for a few moments if Bruce transformed.

Jack had sealed the place and it had no doors, only a few windows with special glass and bars so that people outside couldn't see in. The only way to enter was by using a magic portal.

After checking that the place wasn't too dirty, as the maids couldn't come to clean it, he called Bruce to the laboratory. Bruce was looking at the open teleportation portal and had seen that Jack was in another place outside the desert.

Bruce entered the laboratory and saw what Jack had prepared. He saw that the laboratory had no doors, but had some windows. He walked around and saw a big room with furniture, a kitchen, and a bathroom.

"I created this place for you, Dr. Banner. It has no doors, so the government or the people from the laboratory can't investigate what happens here. Only I can enter here. Of course, you can see that if something happens, you can leave by turning into the Hulk," said Jack.

"Here there's a big bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen. The laboratory is empty because I wanted to wait for you to choose the things you need for your research. As soon as you choose, I can bring them here immediately," said Jack.

"Just like I said, in this part of the laboratory if you want, you can be alone without contacting anyone. Of course, I will leave a regular cell phone for you to call whoever you want and I will leave several computers here for leisure and research," said Jack.

"Whenever you want, you can call me and I will open a portal to take you out of here to the city or anywhere you want, and if the Doctor wants, I can break the wall and create a door too, but then it will be less secure," said Jack.

"I like the place, for someone like me, it's really better that this place doesn't have a way for other people to enter. I can truly be at peace here, and no one will bother me again. I can rest and research here and have fun on the internet. You really thought of everything," said Bruce.

"I accept the job, I will do the research you want in this laboratory, so I can finally be isolated," said Bruce.

"Great, as soon as you prepare the things I need to buy for the laboratory, I'll be back here. You can rest now, Doctor, tell me your number so I can bring you some clothes," said Jack.

Thus, Jack managed to hire Bruce Banner for his laboratory and got the Hulk out of the government and S.H.I.E.L.D's sight. He could help Bruce Banner now, and after the Battle of New York, when he became stronger and gained Bruce's trust, he could help him control the transformation and live a normal life.

In the following days, Jack came every day to help Bruce and brought all the things Bruce needed for the laboratory. During this time, Jack and Bruce became friends, and Bruce began to trust and respect Jack more after researching the Battle Sage on the internet.

Jack bought all the things Bruce needed and all the things he wanted, as he promised, and even decided to leave one of his clones here so that Bruce could always talk to him and ask to leave whenever he wanted.

Jack did all of this to help Bruce because he was a genius and could definitely help improve his laboratory, help Bruce who was someone deserving of respect, and thus prevent the Hulk from appearing before Bruce could control him.

After making Bruce comfortable, Jack received a call from Peter Parker who wanted to talk to him. Jack was waiting for Peter to call; he didn't know how Gwen was doing after the kidnapping, but at least she was alive.

Naturally, Jack went to visit the Green Goblin after bringing Bruce back from Africa. As he expected, the Green Goblin was still alive but very weak, just as Jack wanted. He had lost a lot of blood because the hole Jack opened in his belly was very large.

But the Green Goblin's healing factor was very good, and he managed to stay alive until the wound on his body closed. Since Norman had not died, Jack began to give him food and water and did not even talk to Norman to hear his madness.

Jack went to a restaurant near the laboratory to meet Peter. He saw that Peter seemed to be thinking about how to talk to him. Jack knew that this time their friendship had become more complicated and that Peter did not trust him as much anymore.

After all, besides Jack almost killing the Green Goblin and sending him away, it was what Jack said. He also said that he had put cameras outside Gwen's house to protect her, which was not something common and Jack would not tell the truth.

"Hi, Peter, how's Gwen?" Jack said with a smile.

"Gwen is fine. She woke up after a few hours and was scared. The Green Goblin hurt her when he kidnapped her, but now she's okay," Peter said.

"That's good. I removed the cameras from around her house as you asked. I hope she stays safe now. Maybe it would be better if you stayed at her house for a few days until she can calm down," Jack said.

"I was also thinking about that. After what happened, I decided that after Gwen recovers, I'm going to tell her my secret. If she doesn't mind, I think I'll propose to her after my graduation," Peter said.
