It seemed the world as she had known it no longer existed, replaced by a starry landscape of sweetness, beauty, passion, and serenity. As she began to spiral downward, she had the feeling she had captured a tiny particle of that world and that she would never lose it.

Then she felt Royce's hard arms around her, pulling her against his long, hard-muscled length, and the fine sheen of perspiration that covered his body mingled with that of her own. She loved him. There was no more denying it. There was no way to avoid the truth. And though the knowledge terrified her, it also set her free.
