The queen might be wondering how she found out about her mate. Prince Bueng's memories had been tampered with. The interrogation was erased, and his memories have gaps because he only remembered after waking up that the place had been blown up, with only the crate and the remains of the building visible.

Even the rogue flesh-sucker's remains were burned to the bones. She used the portal key to open the portal for him to return to the queen.

"Who are you?" she asked.

"I am the daughter of the chieftain of the north, you knew that," she said and tried her best not to turn to see the queen's angry face.

"You're not his daughter. I'd made certain that his frail daughter remained in her bed. When the former king stepped down, I already had her killed. I made sure she couldn't play her part as predicted," she hissed angrily.
