As Ray was sitting on his desk, creating different shapes with mana, he heard Adrianna announce her presence outside her door.
Adjusting his appearance and sitting in the most elegant way he could, he asked her to enter.
He knew Adrianna's personality well. Extremely well.
What he did not expect was the first thing she would say after he called him.

Adrianna's heart thumped as her imaginations ran wild.
Not letting her thought display on her face, she did as she was asked and walked up to Ray and stood beside him.
As soon as she neared him, she smelled his alluring and innate charming aura.
'Ah… he smells nice…'
With a dazed expression, she stood beside him, and without herself knowing she was slowly nearing him.
Without giving her a look, Ray started talking with extreme importance in his voice.
"The criminals that I kept in imprisonment will soon…"
The effect of aura type skills, both active and passive, would increase as one got closer to the user.
And without listening to what Ray was saying, Adrianna kept closing their distance slowly.
The closer Adrianna was getting to Ray, the more she felt that he was great and unattainable, as if this was the only chance in her life to be so close to the star without burning herself.

Hearing his voice without any apparent anger that she was expecting, but genuine curiosity, she looked up to meet his gaze.
"Get up."
She got up with trembling feet, but averted his gaze.
"Look at me."
As she looked at Ray, her trembling stopped and her heart began throbbing once again.
He was slightly smiling at her without any anger or repulsion.
"Do you love me?"
Hearing the sudden question, she was startled before she looked away.
Ray didn't ask twice and kept looking at her waiting for an answer.
For Adrianna it was as if her life was flashing before her eyes. She knew if she didn't take her chance today she would regret it for the rest of her life.
'I don't have anything to lose either way…'
Trying to calm herself down, she looked at Ray and in a timid voice replied…
"Yes…"
"…"
"Yes, I love you, your highness, I really lo-"
Before she could finish what she was saying, she felt large warm hands wrap around her. Her body was wrapped in a warm embrace.
"Say no more."
Adrianna wrapped her hands around Ray and tears started rolling down her eyes.
After a few seconds when she had calmed down, Ray broke the embrace and faced her with a serious expression.
"Adrianna. I'll be extremely honest with you."
Adrianna's heart started clenching as she was anticipating what she would hear next.
Would she be rejected? Would she be accepted? Would she face punishment? Would she be forced to leave the palace?
Even though she thought in extremely high speeds, she couldn't find any proper reason as to why ray would accept her.
She was at least fifteen years older than him, she wasn't the most beautiful woman in the empire, she wasn't a noble, she…
"I like you."
Suddenly Adrianna stopped thinking altogether as a sweet smell spread in her mouth.
"I will be the emperor soon, and want it or not, be it willingly or unwillingly due to political or personal reasons I would have to take many women as either concubines or lovers."

"But right now if you sincerely confess your feelings, I promise you will never regret your decision. Even if I might not stay committed solely to you, I promise you will never feel any less love than the others I may later bring in."
As he spoke, he took small steps and started walking around Adrianna.
"If you feel, that even after learning everything that I said, your love towards me has not decreased. Even after all of this you still feel the same way you do…"
'And the final step.'
Ray stepped in front of her and held her face. And putting his lips dangerously close to her ears, he whispered.
"If you promise to love me eternally and never betray me, I promise to do the same. And finally, if you want to take pride as my first lover, nod your head twice and I will make you mine."
As Adrianna was about to nod her head, Ray's voice dropped down a few notes and his warm breath hit her earlobes sending a shiver down her spine, as he continued speaking.
"But remember, if you agree to be mine, you cannot change your mind later. Once you are mine you can only be mine. I would rather destroy what is my own rather than see it fall into other's hands."
Adrianna gulped at the slowly rising pressure in the room, but there was no hesitation in her heart.
The last reason didn't scare her in the least, and she was rather happy listening to it.
As she closed her eyes, her lips broke into a smile. She was genuinely happy.
Without waiting another moment, she nodded her head twice.
The pressure in the room vanished without a trace, as she suddenly felt something sweep her from her feet.
When she opened her eyes, she saw Ray carrying her princess style and approaching the bed.
"Y-your highness, I-"
Ray smiled at her mischievously and his eyes shone.
"I told you. The moment you agree. I will make you mine."
