They were locked in chains as the knights that were captured including their leader who was being dragged by the captain put her in his tent although there is a Military law that forbids captured female prisoners of war to be sexually assaulted that's not the intention of the Squad captain
Inside the tent
He placed the armored knight on the ground he placed a sleeping mattress brought some medical supplies and began fixing her wound He pulled out the bullet at some point blood nearly gushed out but thankful he plugged the wound bandaged it and put her sword at the side and this is his philosophy he had no ill intentions to her and her group have remained in another tent under the watchful eye of a certain sniper that was watching them with no emotion
A few hours later
The squad captain came out and was approached by a communications officer
"Captain they said that we need to hold out for a few days they are assembling the army and are currently mobilizing the force to be sent to provide us air support anytime and currently a Stuka equipped with cannons is currently in the air" The communications officer finished looking down
The squad captain nodded and looked back at the tent and saw the elven female knight
He nodded and spoke
"For now keep our eyes peeled and order our men to use our emergency rations if needed but for now we will remove from our eating routine and low consumption of dinner but for breakfast, we will eat a proper course and take the wood down from the houses to repair the damage" after giving line of orders the communications officer the officer saluted and left
He went to find the demolition soldier and found him eating breakfast and saluted the captain but let him calm down
"What the order captain?"
"I want you to set charges to the walls in case they overwhelm us i want you to place charges below the structure and our forces will slowly retreat to the main walls since we can't keep defending wave after wave"
Next day
Both sides were silent and after the battle, the elves began to get their fallen brethren's bodies the snipers requested to hunt outside of the village and they masterfully evaded patrol and even captured an elven officer and went on to hunt some wild animals after returning they interrogated the Elven officer and was forced to reveal their numbers
"Over 20,000 soldiers gathered here to just capture this village" the platoon commander spoke as he was in disbelief
"And their objective is to capture and copy our weapons?" one of the officers in the platoon spoke with disbelief for them sending this much force is too much for them
They begin to discuss their slow retreat and in case they can't hold it down anymore they plan to retreat with the wall they made and if not possible with the defense, they will plant charges and escape through the armored vehicles
A few more hours later
It was already afternoon and met with silence in both camps a scream was heard and the Squad captain headed to his tent as the source of the voice was heard from there and saw a silver-haired elven female screaming as she was chained to the ground both hands were cuff the ground and they were anti-magic chain and she was wearing the clothing below her armor
"So you have awakened" the squad captain spoke as he gazed at her neutrally and she gazed back with eyes of anger
Soon she began speaking her elven language and he knew she was speaking with profanities he went in front of her placed a small lace around her neck and spoke
"You can speak our language now"
"You human scum you will pay capturing do you know who I am!" She screamed as she moved her hands in an attempt to strangle him but failed and her hands were only able to reach a few meters near his chest he pulled out his pistol near her face and her face showed a bit of fear but didn't care and he fired a round near her face and making the bullets graze her face
"Listen here, I don't give two shits in who you are! Or who is your position in your nation!"
Soon he unchained her but the chain changed to similar to a handcuff and pushed her to the wall when they arrived he saw the communications officer was there as if he was waiting
When he pushed her to the edge she saw the elven camp she was confused and turned to the squad captain
"Just watch" he spoke coldly
Soon they heard something falling from the sky but it was more like an air raid siren and soon they saw 3 Stuka dive bombers one began firing its anti-tank cannons and the other three released a control burst shot and dropped their payloads
BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM
Soon multiple explosions were heard and screams of pain and anguish although some could survive some did not as the elven beauty witnessed the death of her comrades she felt bad and heard cries in her corners and saw her fellow elven knights crying seeing their comrades in arm die in front of them
Her legs felt weak and fell to the ground and tears began to fall and she controlled her sobs
"Now tell me what is your identity and when I inspect your armor it's not like the same standard set to your group" the squad captain spoke with killing intent laced
Soon she began to confess and after a few hours of speaking it was already evening and they saw the elven camp still on fire
"Hey did they use the napalm?" One of the novorosi soldiers spoke as he gazed at the burning camp
Soon they heard distant marching sounds and saw a force of 5,000 elven soldiers arriving they were no regulars but their armor was already known
Shock troopers
An elite unit that could storm and kill anyone who stands in their way and have no fear of death even with severe injuries they will fight
As they watched closely seeing the commander of that shock unit gaze at the village they felt a shiver down their spine except for the special forces soldiers as they were used to it
"Sir, what's our plan?" One of the officers spoke to the captain
"Oh we will see" the squad captain finished as he saw that new reinforcements
Next day
Soon the soldiers began rigging the house with explosives some with traps and they began upgrading their last line of fortress it was already the cocoon fortress when the next day rolled in the assault began
The elves who have 9,000 who survived the air strike with the new 5,000 elven elites began their assault
The defenders didn't expect the elven elites to jump very and land at the walls shocking some but regained and began fighting they began fighting hard and some got seriously injured since they couldn't fight an elf that had a boost in strength in melee but the special forces had no problem
The special force vice-captain came behind the elven shock trooper and slit the throat with a knife and grab the falling spear and threw it at an elven shock trooper in the sky trying to head to the wall and the elven soldier had no chance to dodge mid-air and died and this shock other elven shock soldiers seeing a comrade die mid-air and trying to look for the source and found him firing a few shots killing a dozen more
"Sir our means ammunition is drying up if we keep this up we can last in 3 days" The quartermaster of the Novoros soldier was handing out new cans of ammunition spoke to the Squad captain who was taking precise shots and throwing grenades
Soon they heard a war horn echo and the assault ceased and the elven army retreated
Everyone was panting due to the fatigue of fighting for many days and having nearly no hours of sleep
"Order the men to retreat to the final walls and prepare to explode this wall!" Soon the soldiers began to retreat and dismount the machine guns and retreated to the final line of defense established kill zones and used their hidden weapons
Land mines although some were not used planned to unleash everything in this battle
The next day both sides were silent and the Draconian-Novorosi forces received good news and bad news
The good news is that the Army that was being assembled to reinforce them is on its way but it will take two days to arrive as the 1st tank and mechanized division is on their way along with the 4th quick reaction force platoon of the Draconian empire
As of now, the squad captain spoke with the depressed elf
"I telling you is that the elves must surrender and only lose a fraction of their territory and since you are the heir apparent and duchess of the Alisian Empire" the squad captain as he chewed on his rations
"Then after that, I must marry one of the princes of your empire to maintain peace" she spoke depressed and knowing her role in the negotiating table
The squad captain knew she had been repeating this but sighed and spoke the truth
"Listen the Emperor has no interest in marrying anyone and he's a god and no offense what would he marry an Elven imperial princess from a backward empire who will marry our emperor just for peace he has no interest and has no likes of elves he said during the first interview of him said 'the Strongest goddess I can marry and must stand equal ground with me and I think I have found one'" he finished with a slight smile since he has been teasing her and she has also grown fond of him in a short time since he has been treating her kindly
Her reaction is that she was speechless and can't say a word to refute since the foreign empire treated her as a backward old nation and it is true her age is over 300 and she is not a god
For the next few hours they began chatting and she truly understood him and the empire she fighting they could simply even if their gods intervened the gods warned her not to mess with the land of the gods mostly known as Pangea where gods are powerful and also knew the god of war of the nordic empire was injured by a long-range attack
They felt the presence of a powerful god when Alex arrived and the only way to fight equally on the field was to gather together and fight him but they knew the army behind that god could kill them the famed gods a certain event that might destroy since Alex employed measures to bury that event an small islands full of gods were tested by the chaos legion and the anti-magic bullets kill all of them
Even her gods sent letters requesting or begging to have peace talk but Alex responded to let their followers make their own choices and us gods shall not interfere and only appear when the negotiation begins
The gods lamented but agreed for the sake of their survival
