บท 33: Towards the zenith empire

Alex saw the fishing town which was big and has a lot of shops. After gathering information, he was told that many people want to head to the Lightning Island. When he looked at the distance, he saw a large island in the middle and some thunder clouds and lightning hitting non-stop. He gathered more information and heard that this was made as an independent territory with no nation to conquer it. They also worship the Lightning Emperor, and all other nations planned to get him on their side but failed. They sent powerful masters but failed and were massacred.

Alex decided to stay in the town for a while and try to figure out how to cross the lake but decided, "Forget it!" and flew over.

Two days later, Alex left his bag at the inn, or to be exact, a fake one inside his storage ring. He gathered some energy and lightly toned down the power in him, then flew downrange. He also noticed powerful people observing the town, so he cloaked himself and arrived on the island. He felt a gaze staring at him, and when he looked at the direction of the gaze, lightning fell from his position. He jumped to the side.

Soon more lightning bolts fell, and he pulled out his pistol with a silencer, or to be exact, an enhanced one, and fired multiple rounds. It effectively shattered them, and he began moving to the place. He saw creatures charging at him, and he pulled out his sword and slashed them, but to his surprise, they reformed. He changed the sword to an anti-magic one and killed them. More kept coming, so he pulled out a smoke grenade and threw it to the ground.

Boom.

The smoke spread out, and he ran away from the position. He saw a large temple high on the mountain and ran towards it. Before he could arrive, he saw a whole army dressed in blue azure armor, and some in training clothes. They raised their fists, and a large burst of lightning headed towards Alex. He jumped high from the position, causing an explosion. He saw them jumping and realized that the ones with armor were either elites or officers, while the rest were trainees.

He landed and soon used his Emperor's throne and summoned 100 soldiers since they were very powerful and could use different weapons and elements.

"Orders, your majesty," they knelt in their armor with a mix of black and gold lining, waiting for their emperor's command.

"The army in front of you, defeat them without killing them."

After the order was given, they rushed in with long spears, bastard swords, long shields, and arrows for long-range attacks. They joined the fray, and one of them took down five instantly. Alex moved towards the stairs leading up to the temple.

Zzzzt.

Alex saw a lightning bolt heading towards him, so he moved to the side and dodged, looking at the source. He saw a man with blue armor and a tiger figure sculpt on it, his two fingers pointing to him. Lightning bolts came from his fingers, and Alex knew the attack came from there. Before Alex could say anything, the person jumped down, and his foot aimed at the ground. Alex moved, and when the attack landed, he felt the ground shake.

Soon more enemies arrived, and Alex decided to meet him head-on. After a fierce battle, Alex was able to defeat him.

"Tell me your name," Alex said, pointing his sword at the neck of the emperor.

"Ro-Ronald Caesar," the emperor said.

Alex soon saw the face as the helmet shattered. He introduced himself, "I'm Alex Luker Draco, Emperor of the Draconian Empire, and god of balance of Olympus."

"I came here for something, and that something is I want to recruit you as my general," Alex said.

Ronald scratched his chin and agreed, and Alex declared the island under the protection of the Draconian Empire. The temple would become a training ground for the empire, and Ronald pledged his loyalty.

Three days later, Alex was on a train heading to the HQ of the Draconian navy. He planned to head towards the floating continent of Zenith, and with him was Ronald. They would recruit another member named Sean Calof, a knight from the Zenith Empire. Sean claimed to be the knight protector of the continent, and many nations had failed to recruit him due to his unique abilities.

Alex arrived in the city, an extension of the Draconian city where the base of the 4th fleet of the navy is located. They were heading towards the Albion-class cruiser, a powerful warship. The ship had various functions, including auto shutdown, anti-magic barriers, and a magic tech system to detect magical entities.

Ronald explored the ship, and Alex ordered the crew to prepare to leave. The cruiser set sail, heading first to Novoros to gather more supplies and equipment. The journey would take a week, and Alex knew he could train silently during this time.
