ตอน 29: Chapter 29: Hero Assault
"Match Two! Team G Will Be Our Heros! And Team F Will Be The Villains!"
Outside the building Yaoyorozu and Ojiro are stood side by side waiting for the go ahead from All Might
"What do you know about our opponents Miss Yaoyorozu?" Ojiro reties his belt and flexes his tail
"Not much I'm afraid..." She folds her arms "Tsu has been friendly since I met her and her Quirk is clearly frog related but to what full extent I'm unaware... As for Sekizō..." She taps her chin "Her intelligence is clearly one of her main assets as demonstrated earlier during the review of the first battle... The snakes that make up her hair have fangs but I do not know if they carry venom... And rumor has it her eyes can turn whomever looks into them to stone"
"Seriously...? That's concerning... We can't have our eyes closed over covered the entire time..." he glances nervously at the entrance of the building
All Might's voice suddenly comes over the speaker system "Look Alive Kids! Show Us You're The Embodiment Of Good! Or... Evil! Let's Go!" A buzzer blares!
"That's our queue it seems... I'll go in first Miss Yaoyorozu you stay behind me" Ojiro makes his way to the door and quietly steps inside... After a moment nothing happens and he gestures with his tail for Yaoyorozu to follow...
"Would you like a set of night vision goggles Ojiro...?" She produces a pair for herself from her chest and puts them on
"Yes... Thank you that would be most helpfuuu-!?" He slips on a seemingly innocent puddle of slime and has to use his tail for balance! "Slime!?"
At that same moment a long pink tendril shoots out from around the corner ahead and wraps around Yaoyorozu's waist!
"Ahh!! What!? No get off!" She's yanked off her feet and down the hallway "Ojiro help me!"
Ojiro to his credit quickly recovers, leaps down the hall with his tail and grabs hold of Yaoyorozu's trailing legs "I've got you Miss Yaoyorozu!" What begins is a small tug of war using poor Momo as the rope... Until she is able to produce a single use tazer and jabs it into what must be Tsu's tongue! Said tongue quickly releases her and retreats back around the corner, causing both Heros to fall to the floor
"Are... Are you alright...?" Ojiro pants
"Yes... Yes I am fine... Thank you for saving me..." She slowly sits up...
"It was my duty as your partner..." He starts scratching the bottom of his bare feet "Ah... My feet are- Ah...! Starting to itch...!"
"Was that must not have been a normal slime puddle you slipped in before..." She looks back down the hall in the direction of the puddle
"I don't know... It was some kind of slime... That's all I know..." He keeps scratching his feet
"It's not slime! It's mucus! Ribbit" from ahead and around the corner!
Yaoyorozu clenches her fists "We must act the part..." She clears her throat "It will take more than irritating sli- mucus to stop us evildoer! Mark my words!" Her declaration is met by... Silence... "Did she leave...?"
"Perhaps... Still... This should mean Sekizō is guarding the weapon somewhere above us..." Yaoyorozu produces soap and gives it to Ojiro to scrub his feet "Thank you..."
"It's lucky we're still together... If you were alone you'd have to deal with that itching... Would you like some shoes...?" She keeps her eyes glued down the hall keeping an eye out for any more tongues
"Please... I don't want to risk any more puddles..." She produces some sneakers and he puts them on... "Thank you very much..."
They get to their feet and continue down the hall... Ojiro hobbling slightly... Keeping their eyes low to look for more puddles... They find none...
They cautiously approach the corner Tsu attacked from with Ojiro in the front... They approach slowly with the backs along the wall, tails permitting
Yaoyorozu creates a mirror and hands it over to Ojiro, he uses the mirror to check around the corner... And he sees nothing but a staircase to the next level... "Coast is clear... Shall we continue upwards...?"
"Of course we shall... We have to complete the objective at all costs... Before time runs- Um... Before the weapon detonates?" She shrugs
"You're right... I'll go first again Miss Yaoyorozu... You wait at the bottom and I'll call for you once I've determined it's safe..." Ojiro moves around the corner and towards the staircase leading up
As Yaoyorozu goes to follow around the corner a hand suddenly covers her mouth and before she can utter a muffled scream she feels two sets of fangs sink into her neck causing a muffled gasp to be released instead
"Shhhh... You've failed Hero... Rest now... In dispair." Her rapidly stiffening body is slowly dragged backwards along the hall and then gently lowered to the floor, on her side so her butt mounted bookshelf doesn't hurt her, and from her sideways view she sees Hitomi silently enter a previously closed room and hide
'But I thought she was guarding the weapon...' her body comes to a complete freeze as if struck by rigamortis and she stays there... Immobile and helpless...
Ojiro sprints back around the corner a few moments later after noticing her disappearance and rushes to her frozen side "Miss Yaoyorozu!" He he examines her and finds the slightly bleeding puncture marks on her neck "Snake bites...? But I thought Sekizō was guarding the weapon...?"
Tsu's tongue suddenly shoots from around the corner again! Unfortunately, or fortunately depending on the perspective, Ojiro notices it and backflips out of the way "That same trick won't work twice!" He starts running towards to corner!
"It wasn't supposed too Hero!" Come from behind him alongside the scrape of metal on the floor
He turns to see Hitomi slide and come to a crouched stop next to Yaoyorozu with the sharp tip on her golden sai coming to rest against his teammate's throat
He freezes in place and takes a tense stance "What are yo-"
"Surrender or she dies." Both Ojiro and Yaoyorozu's eyes widen in shock at the sudden and merciless turn of the situation
"Y-you can't be serious! A hostage!? That's too fa-"
"This isn't a game Hero. You came into my lair, you lost your partner to me and now you must live with the consequences." The sai tip taps against Yaoyorozu's throat
He clenches his fists... Then raises his hands "Alright! Alright I surrender..."
"C-correct choice... You live to fight another day... Evil Tsu! Come restrain the Hero!" She stays with her sai still at her hostage's throat so the Hero doesn't try anything
Tsu comes around the corner "On it Evil Hitomi!" She rushes up and quickly wraps capture tape around the frustrated Ojiro...
A few moments later All Might's voice comes over the speaker system "Alas... The Villains Are The Winners... Good Job Students!"
The two defeated Heros and two victorious Villains all let out a breath of relief that it's over
Hitomi twirls her sai and shethes it on her back "I'm sorry Yaoyorozu... Here..." She holds her hand under one of her snake's mouths and it opens wide and coughs up a small epi-pen looking thing... She wipes off the tip and jabs Yaoyorozu's neck with it
A few moments later Yaoyorozu sits up with a gasp! "I-I can move!" She feels her neck where she was jabbed "The anti-venom?"
Hitomi nods... "Mhm..." She looks sad...
"What's the matter...?" She rests a hand on Hitomi's shoulder...
"Well... I know what it's like to be paralyzed and helpless on the ground while your friend is fighting alone... You didn't deserve it..." She bows her head... "I'm sorry Yaoyorozu..."
Yaoyorozu smiles softly... "None of that... You did a marvelous job in defeating us" she slowly sits up and kneels with the sad girl "And don't think I missed how gently you laid me down... You made sure I was comfortable..."
"Well... Yeah... I didn't wanna hurt you... I wouldn't just throw you on your face..." She faces Yaoyorozu... Who seems kinda close! "O-oh hi! You're closer!"
"Um... Do you two want us to leave...? Ribbit" Tsu and Ojiro are just stood there awkwardly
"Nope!" Hitomi quickly stands "Come Along! All Might awaits!" She power walks out the door leaving the other three behind "Thanks for the talk Yaoyorozu I feel better now!"
Yaoyorozu stays kneeling with a shocked look on her face "Umm... Alright" Tsu helps her to her feet and they start walking to the exit together
"Y'know I think her and Toru are already a thing? If you're interested in Hitomi, Ribbit" She taps her chin
Yaoyorozu tilts her head in confusion "What do you mean interested?"
"Uhh... Never mind" she speeds up her walk
Ojiro rushes after them! "Wait Sekizō likes women!? I had no idea!"
They both stare at him for a moment then roll their eyes and keeps walking "Men!"
Ojiro frowns "What did I say?"
Both girls catch up to Hitomi who's slowed down so they could enter the observation room together, they walk either side of Hitomi
"Bye the way Sekizō..." Yaoyorozu smiles "You don't need to use my clan name... If you wish you may call me Momo"
"O-oh! I'd be very happy to!" She returns the smile "And you can call me Hitomi"
"I'd be happy to as well" Momo clutches Hitomi's hand with both of her own "I am glad to count you among my new friends Hitomi! We must get together and do the girl talk sometime"
"U-uhh sure!" 'What do girls talk about during girl talk...? Gah I sound like a boy damn iiiiit!'
"Wonderful!" Momo's smile is wide and her eyes practically sparkle
Tsu watches these events unfold and can only think... 'Toru really won't like this... Ribbit'
