Abigail's life was a mundane routine of waking up, staring out the window at the beautiful view, and then trying to fill the endless hours with some sort of activity. But there was nothing she could do to distract herself from missing Christopher. She was missing him more and more with each passing day.

To keep herself occupied, Abigail often found herself reminiscing about the time she spent with Christopher.

She tried to keep herself busy by reading books and magazines, but it wasn't long before she had exhausted the limited options available in the house. She had no phone, internet, or other means of communication with the outside world. She felt isolated and alone, with no one to talk to except for Maria.
