Chapter 64: Hard to kill
"How am I alive? Why shouldn't I be, you only scratch me a bit." She smirked.
"Scratches?...you lost like a gallon of blood already!" Yelled the wolf.
"Lost? I didn't lose anything. Every part of my body can be transformed into water and then reabsorbed, that of course includes my blood. I don't even do it consciously anymore, it's an automatic reaction to preserve my mass." Explained Vivi.
"That's a ridiculous ability!" He complained.
Vivi shrugged."That's your problem." The real reason that Vivi was bothering to speak with him was to win a little time to heal her wounds. Some of the cuts were actually very deep, despite her playing them down as scratches. As soon as she was done healing, Vivi jumped into the offensive again.
"Soru!"
During the short time they have been fighting, she has used that moved around a dozen times and she was getting better at it. Now she can control where she moves and even make some turns.
She moved to Jabra's side and extended her fingers, aiming for the temple. That part of the head is soft and there is barely any muscle there so 'Tekkai' would be useless.
"Shotgun!" Pellets of water shot out from her fingers in a wide arc.
He moved enough to avoid dying but some of the pellets hit other parts of his face, creating deep cuts.
"Uggg!. You bitch!" He barked. "Tekkai Kempo!" He disappeared from his spot and got behind Vivi.
She also used her own soru to avoid any attacks on dangerous spots. She felt like it was becoming easier to keep up with him and even launch some counterattacks.
After exchanging blows for a few more minutes, Vivi's body was once more covered and cut and deep gashes. But this time, Jabra also had several wounds.
"Shit!" He yelled. "You are getting faster....and stronger. This makes no sense!" He huffed.
'He is getting tired. And those wounds are also affecting him already while mine are almost healed again.'
She had concluded since the beginning of the fight that she would not be able to win by surpassing Jabra on strength, technique, or speed since He was superior at all those. Her only chance was a battle of attrition. She made her bet on her quick regeneration and high energy reserves and it was paying off now.
"What's wrong, Wolfie? Are you getting tired?" It was an obvious provocation but Jabra was not very smart.
He looked at her, looking enraged. "Shut up you monster! I'll kill you in a moment."
He changed his posture.
"Tekkai Kempo: Heavy step wolf!"
He moved towards her at an insane speed, even for soru. Jabra always moved while using Tekkai, but for this technique, He disables it to focus completely on speed.
Before she could react, He was in front of her.
"AHHH!" He while making his move. He pierced her belly with his claws and his attack came with so much force that his entire arm ended up going through her torso and coming onto the other side.
Vivi grunted and spat a mouthful of blood but never took her eyes off him.
"VICTORY IS MI-"
Jabra was going to brag about his victory when He looked at Vivi's face. The smirk that she had on her face with blood coming from her mouth sent chills through Jabras body.
Vivi used her left hand to keep Jabras arm in place while taking hold of her dial with her right.
With an extremely swift motion, she placed the dial on his chest, where his heart would be.
"REJECT"
Jabra went flying backward. His arm came suddenly out of her chest, making a pool appear around Vivi.
She lost her balance and fell to one knee.
"Ugg…this hurts like hell…."
There was a big hole where the belly used to be. Her eyes then started to shine brightly and her regeneration speed jumped to another level.
The hole started to close and all the blood in the area came back to her and went inside her body once more.
She felt the dizziness caused by excessive blood loss disappear and the pain in her chest was fading away.
As soon as she recovered enough, Vivi stood back. She first took at the dial, still in her hand. There were more cracks across its surface and looked like it was about to break.
'This thing probably has only one more use.'
She placed it away and walked to the fallen Jabra. He was laying on top of the grass, not making a single movement. His eyes had turned completely white and He was again in his human form.
Vivi checked his pulse just to make sure.
'I mean, his heart must have blown up but you never know with people of this word.'
No pulse, no breathing. Definitely dead.
"Good…now, I wonder wher-"
With a tremendously loud cracking noise, the ceiling broke down and a big giraffe with a suit and carrying two swords came crashing down.
"Crapp!!!" The giraffe screamed while falling.
Vivi moved out of the way. After all the debris had a chance to set, a very angry giraffe came from beneath…and a few moments later, came out Zoro too.
"Ah…I thought I was going to die…wait, I have the feeling that this happened before" Said Zoro.
"That's because it did...not long ago" Vivi sighed.
Zoro then turned to look at her and gasped.
"Vivi!, what the hell happened to you?!"
It was then that she noticed her appearance. She was completely covered in blood and her clothes were a mess of cuts and barely covered her decency. She looked like she had just gone through hell.
"I'm fine." She said plainly.
"You don't look fine at all!" Zoro cried.
"Let me clean a bit." She turned all the dried blood into the water and reabsorbed it into her body, leaving her skin pristinely clean, and with no sign of a single cut or bruise on it. Her clothes were still a mess though.
"That's better."
Kaku looked around the place.
"This is where Jabra was supposed to be. Where is he?!" He demanded while looking directly at Vivi.
"Well…you know, He is probably under one of those giant boulders, dead." She pointed out all the debris that fell.
