บท 52: Quick visit to the library.
Throughout the passing week I trained Nova who worked hard to achieve great results. Her mana and physical capabilities have greatly improved and she should be alright for the tournament which will be held tomorrow after lunch at 14:45.
The training I put Nova through was basically a big workout while I trained her in magic, theory and spells, along with techniques for the sword should she use them. She seems to be alright with holding the sword now and no longer shakes or shows slight hesitation.
During my training with Scarlet I have learned to hide my massive aura, that I have been emitting without realising, so the so called 'strongest' of the academy won't be able to sense it.
Those 'strongest' students of Kerose academy are returning today so I might see them while I'm walking around. If I do I would want to see their strength.
I'm currently in my room reading through a book about theories of spacial magic such as [teleport] and the others I have mentioned before, [Dimensional claws] , [Dimensional sword] , [Spacial slash] , [Compress] , [Black hole] and so on.
During my free time I have been trying to use [Teleport] but I haven't gotten it down yet although I have gained the skill [Flash steps].

Allows you to instantly move anywhere in a 10 metre radius of yourself. Can be used continuously and the distance you can move can increase. It is a simpler version of [Teleport] and this skill cannot move you anywhere further than 350 metres.

So basically a kind of like [Teleport] but cannot bring you long distances. That doesn't matter though. I'm making some progress.
Tess and I have talked here and there when we meet but not too much as I've got to train Nova which Tess seems mad about. Tess also seems interested in doing the tournaments with me so we will probably talk when that happens.
I continued going over the theories of spacial magic and recapping everything I knew for a couple hours while committing everything to memory.
'I'll go for a quick walk.' I thought to myself as I stretched my arms and legs, getting out of bed. I quickly checked the clock and it read 12:32.
I left my room in a simple black one piece dress and some black 1.5 inch heels because I didn't have any other shoes that suited this dress and I wasn't comfortable using heels that were higher than 2-2.5 inches.
'I should probably buy different clothes.' I thought to myself as I exited the dorms, 'my wardrobe is basically all black clothing.'
The dress I was in currently was easy to move in so I could fight in it quite easily and the same goes for the small heels.
I walked down to the school and went to the library and heard a conversation on the way by two random students.
"Have you heard that the big shots of this school are returning for the tournament? It's going to be a blast!" I heard a boy say with a voice full of excitement and expectations.
"Of course I heard! I even got the timing that they would be predicted to arrive at so I might've able to get in a conversation with them!" The other boy said.
"Come on! I need to know this stuff as well!" The first boy said back.
"Haha alright, alright! Apparently it's today at 13:30! That's when their missions should be done and come back, I can't wait!" Both the boys chuckled to themselves as they rushed past me with their gazes focused on me.
I walked past like I heard nothing and didn't notice them.
"Hey isn't that the really strong girl that fought with Scarlet and got 1st place on the entrance exams?" One said.
"Yeah, I think so. I wonder if she will be fighting as well! That would make things really exciting!" The other replied full of energy.
"Haha yeah man but calm down a bit would ya."
I ignored them and continued my walk toward the library.
After 4 minutes I made it to the front of the library and opened the big oak doors. The inside of the library was massive, shelves all along the walls and across the room in certain sections with a desk which was lined up in front of the door but at the back of the room. There were stairs that led to the second floor and ultimately the third floor which I heard had some forbidden books and some really complicated ones which you needed permission to read from.
There was a big chandelier hanging from the ceiling which was enhanced with magic so it lit up the whole library.
I walked into the library and went to the left side of it and scanned the shelves.
—Basic magic theory, —Basic magic theory 2, —Basic magic theory 3, there was a whole row of Basic magic theory 1-20 on one shelf and I wasn't interested in a single one of them as I had already read them.
"These books are for beginners. If you are looking for more advanced ones look towards the back of the library. There will be some on spells, theory, swords, you name it." I heard a voice behind me.
I was already aware of their presence but I wasn't bothered by them so I didn't say anything and acted as if I had no clue he was there.
It was a boy with long grey hair that was tied in a low down ponytail and had some black glasses on. He was in uniform and had 4 books held to his chest. He was about 5'8 and had green eyes.
"Thank you." I said.
"Your very much welcome." He said with a smile, "I'm Alex by the way."
"Kiera." I replied.
"Well nice to meet you but I've gotta go. Important business I've got to attend to. I'll see you around, yeah?" He said as he jogged of and out of the library.
'Random encounter.'
I then, just as he advised, went to the back of the library and looked at the books. There was stuff on the most random of things but maybe someone would be interested in them? Like a book on plant pots, not that interesting. There was also stuff on summoning, spirits, mythical beast, architecture, smithing, swords, spears, the history of the world and religious books along with so many more I couldn't name them all. One of these books stood out a little to me. —All goddesses and gods known to mankind—.
'—All goddesses and gods known to mankind— huh? I wonder if it has any information on the goddess of reincarnation and the goddess of space.' I thought as I picked up the thick leather cased book.
I walked over to a small table hidden in the corner of the library and sat down with the book as I opened it to the first page. The contents page.
I scanned all the way through them until I came across the ones I was looking for. Persephone and Astraea. I was about to look through their pages but a throbbing pain begun in my head. It isn't hurt but it would've if I felt pain. Something was telling me to net search through this book and it wasn't giving up.
I just decided to not bother if I was being told not to so I put the book down.
'That was odd.'
I got up and the chair scraped behind me and I used [Flash steps] to get back to the shelf where this book was originally and settled with another book to read. It was just about some sword techniques I could use so I began reading through it and this time there was no throbbing sensation in my head.

W_D_Y_W_F_M I will release another chapter today. Maybe two but we will see if I have enough ideas to do that but I’ll probably start writing the tournament.
