บท 37: Dungeon (3)
I transformed Adonis which is now in bow form and drew back two arrows. I was aiming to hit its eyes so it wouldn't be able to see. I engulfed my arrows in fire and used wind magic to enhance the arrows. I released the arrows which went flying directly at the lizards eyes.
The lizard noticed once the arrows got close so it quickly swiped its tail at the arrows but only managed to hit one away and the other pierced through its right eye. It's once yellow eyes were now red from the blood which poured out of its socket.
The lizard hissed in anger as it began searching for the being responsible for its injury. When it realised it couldn't it let out a loud hiss and neared its many sharp teeth.
Carefully looking at the lizard I noticed that the fire wasn't burning through its insides but just its eye and drying up the blood which spilled from it.
'I pierced it easier than I expected but my flames won't burn its flesh inside. It probably has a skill to protect itself.' I thought as I loaded another arrow and pulling back the string before letting the arrow fly.
This time the lizard swiped away the arrow and noticed my direction so it started running to my direction. I transformed Adonis back into a sword and jumped forward at the lizard who did the same as me.
It's claws came into contact with my sword and made a screeching sound like two metal swords rubbing together so I made the assumption that it's claws were just like steel. I kicked the lizard and sent it back a little marking it the perfect time to go in for a hit so I used a wind blade and slashed at the lizard. The lizard raised its tail to protect itself from my attack but got its tail sliced off.
Without its tail to protect itself the lizard got more cautious around me. It opened its mouth and a poison spit came hurdling towards me which I dodged by sliding to its left and leaping forwards at the monster.
I surrounded my blade in my skill [Inferno] and my blade came crashing down on the beasts head, well it would have if the lizard didn't jump back and send of another ball of poison in my direction.
I kept over the poison ball and thrust my sword at the lizard which tried dodging but failed resulting in a deep hole in its neck. I twisted the sword and pulled it out and slashed at it horizontally as I knew this injury would not kill it. I used wind magic and held it in front of the tip of my blade and made a compact air bullet of violent wind that would pierce through my enemy's scales.
As I sent the bullet at its head it let out a loud screech that made the cave rumble.
"It warned the others. Let's move." I said to scarlet who was surprised I just killed that lizard.
"Ah okay."
I sliced a chunk of meat off of the lizard and stored it in my [Spacial storage] without scarlet knowing and continued off down the caves.

As we continued down the cave we came across Arachne. And many of them. In general they are easy to kill but in big groups? They are definitely a threat. If there is over 25 of them then that indicates to an Arachne queen. Arachne are basically human top half and spider lower half and aren't pleasing to the eye to say the least.
There was an odd 31 of them at least and that could only mean that there was an Arachne queen. Arachne queens are around the rank of D+ to C and the regular Arachne are around E- to E+ ranks.
"Arachne queen." I muttered.
"You won't be able to handle this."
"That's exactly why I want to do this. Great EXP and I can learn quicker under the pressure of death looming over me." I said as I got up, "I'm just going to jump right on in there."
I jumped over to the Arachne' with great strength that propelled me directly at them and I used [Inferno] on my sword once more. Me jumping in wasn't just suicide. I knew Arachne have a weakness to fire and since they had bodies covered in fine hairs they would be easy to set alight and spread to the others around them.
I slashed at the Arachne and set one alight which was quickly engulfed by the flames spreading from one to the other. The flames wouldn't be enough to kill them so when they were surprised by the flames I quickly darted around slicing of their legs by the joints that held them together.
The Arachne' started burning and couldn't move from their legs being chopped off but that didn't stop them from communicating with one another and obviously the queen.
Once they all dropped I sliced off each of their heads and gained a load of EXP.
