บท 13: Chapter 13
(Somewhere in the forest)
A man was leaning against a tree and holding a scroll in his hand.
"*Ding Ding*, Qrow! ...Do you have any information?"
"Ozpin! I went to check the village as you asked and as you suspected it was completely destroyed."
"*Sigh* I wish we could have acted before this happened but unfortunately it wasn't possible.... did you find or see anything strange or unusual?"
"Well...now that you ask the question....there was a grimm in the village."
"It's not very surprising, the grimms stay for a while on the places they attack before leaving in search of a new target."
"No...it's different, this grimm was all alone, it was a grimm that I had never seen before!"
"What did he look like?"
"It looked like some kind of beowolf but much bigger."
"An alpha?"
"No it was something else, he was much bigger and seemed much more powerful....maybe a new species of beowolf?"
"It's strange, it's not unknown that some grimms end up evolving after a while, but they've always followed a predefined pattern of evolution, maybe it's a new type of evolution..."
"Who knows...but that's not the only strange thing."
" What else ?"
"I saw this grimm gathering human food from the debris of houses."
"What! What would a grimm do with human food?"
"I ask myself the same question but that's not all, when I watched him he turned back to me and started to growl in my direction as if he knew that I was really despite having transformed in crow, this had never happened before with other grimms."
Ozpin was silent for a moment after hearing what qrow had just told him. After a minute he spoke again.
"It looks like there's still a lot that we don't know, but for now we need to focus on our mission while keeping an eye out for any eventuality."
"Understood, I'll resume my research in this case."
"Okay, I'll wait for your news qrow."

Caleb ran full speed through the forest while Ren and Nora did their best not to fall off his back. After several hours of running, Caleb finally stopped considering that they were far enough from danger.
Now he had to find a place to stay before night fell. He continued without a path while concentrating to see if he felt any emotions in the surroundings. Apart from ren and nora he felt no other emotions, he decided to keep moving hoping to find something soon enough.
Suddenly a rumbling sound was heard, it didn't take him long to realize that this noise was in fact nora's stomach, which was crying out for hunger. How could such a little girl have such an appetite, she almost ate most of the provisions that he had collected in the village, but despite that she was always hungry.
Now he had to find a place to spend the night and find food, which didn't make his job any easier. He continued to search without success and the night began to fall which was far from a good thing.
After a while he saw out of the corner of his eye a light through the many trees of the forest. He stopped running and made Ren and Nora come down from his back, after that he began to approach slowly, followed very closely by the two children.
He ended up arriving close to the source of the light and hid behind a tree to observe what looked like a space in the forest in which there was no tree but a hut in the middle of where the source of light came from.
He looked around carefully when his gaze fell on an old man sitting in a chair in front of the cabin. The man seemed to be reading a book, Caleb didn't take his eyes off him for a moment when the man closed the book he was reading and said something Caleb didn't expect to hear.
"Well, are you planning on hiding behind this tree for a long time or are you finally going to decide to show yourself?"
When he heard that all of Caleb's senses went on alert, how did he know he was here and what he should do in this situation.
He hesitated a moment before turning to ren and nora who were waiting to see what he was planning to do, then he motioned for them to wait discreetly here. He then came out from behind the trees and slowly approached the cabin so as not to frighten the old man.
He expected the old man to be scared when he saw him and run away or attack him but nothing of that happened, he continued to advance until he was only one meter away from the man.
At that moment he noticed something that surprised him even more. The eyes of the old man, he was blind, how did he manage to spot it while being blind?!
"Well big guy, what brings you to my cabin?"
Caleb looked at him closer for a moment. the old man had long hair and a long graying beard, he wore a red shirt with black checks with black pants and brown boots, next to him was a cane which was surely to help him to move.
After taking the time to inspect the man Caleb turned and groaned slightly to indicate to Ren and Nora that they could come. The two children came out from behind the trees and came to join Caleb.
The man saw them approach raised an eyebrow.
"Hello sir." Ren said shyly with Nora hiding behind his back.
"What brings you here at such a late hour, little ones?"
Ren explained to him everything that happened from the grimms' attack on their villages until now.
"Oh my god kids you must be starving and tired, come in quick, I'll make you something to eat! You might call me Harlow by the way."
The man got up and took his cane then opened the door to his house indicating to ren and nora to enter. They both turned to Caleb who nodded to them telling them to enter. He could see that this man was not bad but something puzzled him about this old man.
The man entered followed by the two children while Caleb lay down next to the cabin, it was still quite large with two floors, a kitchen, a living room and even several bedrooms from what he could see through the window. .
An hour passed and the night had completely fallen, the door of the cabin opened and the man left and came to rest on the chair next to Caleb.
"The kids are sleeping, they must have been really exhausted after all they've been through. I must admit I was slightly surprised when I saw them arrive with you."
Caleb looked at him out of the corner of his eye wondering who this old man really was but he was completely shocked when the man asked him a question he clearly wasn't expecting.
"So...how did you end up in the body of a Grimm?"
