The Palace - 2 PM

With the calm exterior of the blonde wolf infuriating her, the hairs on the back of Sophie’s neck and arms began to stand on end.

Gabriella glanced out her own window onto the field. “We obviously do not use this arena for sports exclusively.” Her voice sounded like it was being transmitted through a speaker system into the room Sophie was now apparently a prisoner.

“We use it for all sorts of events when we need large portions of the population to gather, including punishments. Since punishments serve more as a mechanism to set examples for the other wolves, we often bring prisoners here to bear witness. You’re in one of those cells we use for that exact purpose now.”

Sophie began to breathe heavily. “So, I’m a prisoner?” she asked.
