Ever since Keith started living with us, we have gone to the office together. He insists on using just one car, dropping off Gianna at school on the way. On the outside, he looks like the sweetest, most caring fiancé. But when we're alone, he barely talks to me anymore. Keith is so different now. Everything changed since I overheard his phone conversation. Does he even like me anymore?

I refuse to ask him that. My feelings for him have changed drastically and I'm not chasing after his affection. This is just one fucked up arrangement. I can't wait until I get my mother back. And then I can leave all of this behind. I'll start a new life with Mama and Gianna somewhere no one can find us. I can maybe tell my brother. I'm sure he would understand and would willingly protect us too. I just want my life back.
