Gael's sister, Gabby, is at school today and her classes will end soon. He said he promised her he'd pick her up but he's caught up in something and can't do it, so he's asking me to go instead.

We have dozens of soldiers who could very much do it, but we dote on our only princess that if she's promised to be picked up by one of us, we better do it. We shelter Gabby as much as possible from the family business even though she's privy to it. And because most of the time, the men are busy, we take turns making up time for her. And we take it seriously because if we don't, we can only blame ourselves if she decides to rebel, just like her brother, Sebastian, who's been using drugs as his companion and who is currently somewhere in Florida doing fuck knows what.
