บท 338: Su Wen's Insomnia

Fifth Sister did not know if she could pass the exam because she had never attended high school. To close the gap in her knowledge, she employed the time-tested method of rote memorization.

Fifth Sister had devoured all the books up to the third year of high school in her quest to enter college.

It would have to be enough!

Fifth Sister had borrowed Big Sister and Second Sister's books, memorizing as much as possible. She had had only enough time to skim through the Grade 12 textbooks once, so she did her best to consolidate everything she remembered--too much time had been wasted already.

Fifth Sister got up bright and early on the exam day, even before the sun could peek over the horizon. She shuffled to the kitchen and heated two of the buns leftover from dinner for breakfast.

She was met face-to-face with Su Wen in her splendid nightgown when she stepped out of the kitchen.
