If Xavier fired a laser at them, he would be committing suicide because the stalactites above would surely fall on the three of them.

Xavier was still confused about how to attack them. Because the position of the three of them is not very good, with the stalactite stones in the cave, the stones would surely fall if they attacked. Still, it is doubtful that he can make a shield that fasts because Tyler can make old shields fast.
