บท 47: Chapter 47: Keep Your Friends Close

After we informed Zayn, Adriel, and Dakota of what was happening, we left the party. Silas told them to look for signs of Tanner or his pack attacking. They are supposed to run the perimeter around the mansion to be sure they don’t catch any scent from Tanner or the others, and they must report back to Silas immediately.

Silas held his hand tightly in mine, rubbing gentle circles on the back of my hand with his thumb. “Don’t worry, baby. We’ll figure this out. We’re not going to let him win,” he said.

My gaze flickered to Silas, and I smiled at him. “I’m not too worried. I know we’re strong enough to deal with Tanner. I just know Tanner could be playing tricks, and that is the part that worries me.”

“Yeah,” he said. He raised my hand to his lips and kissed the back of it as we sped down the highway in his GTO.

“When we get there, you should call Charlotte or Kae. Charlotte seemed worried, and I’m sure that Kae is too.”
