บท 188: The Hired Assassin

"We found him," Douglas Warwick, a hired vampire assassin, spoke into the phone.

He was part of a gangster group that often carried out dirty assignments in exchange for money.

Due to the many assignments that their group got, the person who Douglas called did not immediately catch on.

"Who?"

Douglas snorted impatiently.

"That red-headed vampire person on the wanted list," Douglas reminded him. "I am at the Sunnyhill Produce Market."

"Ah. Oh, wow! The one that we have been looking for for the past two weeks???"

Lord knew how long they looked for this vampire who was supposedly seen in Dominion. He was nowhere to find despite their extensive efforts.

Douglas even once joked that they should just lie to the client and say that they already murdered the bastard.

"Yep..."

The person at the other end of the line was both skeptical and careful.

He was worried that Douglas would act carelessly just to get the client's money.
